I had a really good experience here. I came in basically at opening due to a slow leak in one of my tires. I didn't have to wait long at all; about an hour. My slow leak was patched, and that was it. I wasn't charged for anything I didn't need, and I was not taken advantage of. I was told that I would need new tires soon, but they weren't needed "now." Went there to fix a Tire with a nail in it Got the song and dance that its too close to the sidewall which it clearly was not, i wish i could insert a picture! The manager said it would be illegal to fix this tire so I said forget it and I took the car down the road to the local shop and they put a plug in it for $10 instead this guy was trying to sell me a new tire, which would've needed a new stem and balancing which probably would've wind up costing $200. Always have had a good experience with these fellas right here. They work hard and fast. It is never cheap but it is what it is. I feel like they're honest and take the time to really diagnose the issues with your vehicle. Always provide break down prior to doing anything. They also are thorough and provide receipts with each item they're charging you for. I always will come here for my truck. read more

Came for a simple oil change this morning and the girl behind the counter "Jessica" had a terrible attitude from jump, I gave her the benefit of the doubt because it was still the morning. It took about two hours to complete which is fine, when I returned I had to go back in to let them know that my oil change sensor and tire pressure sensors were not reset (filling air in the tires is included) when I told the girl Jessica behind the counter I was returned with an eye roll and she stormed off into the back. She's terribly unprofessional. When she was walking back out of the shop towards me she said something aloud to a technician to make sure I heard it. but it was definitely about me. Something along the lines of "yeah he never told me that either" I leave out zero details on anything especially over a simple two second oil change. Just petty stuff. That girl should not work here much longer she's in the wrong business. read more

Had a flat needed it changed quick because I had to head to work. I stopped by mavis and they were rude and couldn't give me a time estimate. So I went to Goodyear down the road. They not only got my tire replaced but drove all the way to ronkonkoma to get the special tire I needed at their warehouse to get me back on the road in time for work. They didn't charge installation and gave me a warranty instead. Good honest folks. Highly recommend. read more

I regularly bring my car here for oil change and inspection. The people who work here are friendly and they started to remember me the more I came. I chose this location for convenience. Normally I drop my car off first thing in the morning on a Saturday and get it back by 11. Like Any shop they try to sell you something you don't need. One time I dropped it off for an oil change and when they called me to tell me it was ready they said I needed new wiper blades, which I didn't. Don't even know how they came to notice? But whatever, just know your car and don't let them convince you that you need more than what you asked them for. read more

When you get an oil change, they don't rotate your tires, which is an included free service unless you explicitly "ask" for it. Their reason: we don't know if you do it yourself or have it done elsewhere. I've been coming here for a over two years, and I always thought my tires where taken care of. Pete! You are awesome! You deserve more than a five star. We had hard time looking for a decent and nice auto repair shop. We called them and Pete was very honest and polite he told us that they are short handed but they could still help us. We drove to the shop using the spare tire and he gave us options and possibility for the tire and expenses wise. We got there and there are so many cars ahead of us but we really need to get our tires checked. Pete took over the car and just did everything by himself. He is a rockstar. I wish I could give a negative rating. Me and my fiancé bought a set of 4 new tires for our Jeep. We set the appointment to get them put on at this location and also made an appointment to get the differential fluid checked along with an alignment. We made that appointment about 1 hour before the appointment to get our tires changed, this was on FEB. 4th 2017. Right off the bat the "manager" Steve Darienzo was rude to the core. This dude was flinging our receipts at us, slamming his fists, sighing and making rude noises because HE couldn't figure out how to bring up our order on the computer..not our fault. For an older gentleman he had such a piss poor attitude I couldn't believe he was the MANAGER!!! Then I heard them tell another customer the alignment machine was broken and that they would have to come back YET we were there for an alignment and he said nothing about that to us! Did he lie? He complained the whole time that they were so busy and turned customers away. Then he throws our clear folder with our keys and paperwork to the mechanic across the floor like a 5 year old. At first I though he was acting this way because my fiancé and I are young females, but he treated EVERY customer like this! Anyway I wish I would have just bought the tires and had an independent put them on- this place is so unprofessional I regret putting them in charge of something so Vidal like my vehicle. Patchogue in Long Island, NY, can get a bad rap at times. But visit this GoodYear Auto Service Center at 368 E. Main Street and let Louis take care of all your worries. As you wait, Louis will tell you there is a good luncheonette on the corner. He will instruct his repair guys to show you where the problem is. If you own a Volvo like I do, he will assure you that you will get original Volvo parts, then after the work is done, show you the boxes it came in! He will also get a quote on something if you think the job could be less expensive elsewhere. And not only that, this GoodYear center will work with you to keep things in line with your budget. Go to this GoodYear and ask for Louis L., Store Manager!!! Oh wait, you don't have to ask for him. He always answers the phone with a cheery greeting! P.S. They also are certified to do car inspections. **Sadly, Louis passed away the same year I wrote this review. But I still go to GoodYear in Patchogue. Just got four tires there. Went in for a routine synthetic oil change, tire rotation and car inspection for a 4 year old car in great condition. Was told car wasn't going to pass inspection because of bad wiper blades. I said impossible, my blades are Premium Michelin and only 3 months old. They said I had to buy their cheap $25.00 Valvoline blades or fail inspection and be charged for the failed inspection of $37.00. I suggested I would buy my own blades and return and they said I was going to get a failed inspection and would have to have another inspection performed again. So I had no choice but to buy their expensive cheap blades just so I could get my car to pass inspection. To make matters worse, I dropped off the car at 830am was told it would be ready by noon and I didn't get my car serviced till I walked in at 1PM. I will never ever recommend this place to anyone. I only went here because its close to work. I will make sure to let everyone under the sun know what type of people are working here. They could care less except intimidate and extort customers into needless purchases. Now I have to go and spend an additional $35.00 for a pair of decent wiper blades to replace the crap they installed. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! read more

I brought my truck in to get the AC fixed. Guy at the front desk (service manager) told me it will cost $80 just run the diagostic test to discover whats wrong. I respond to the guy, "Call me when you get the results" He tells me okay and that he will be needing the car all day. I say, "No problem"...I get a phone call in 45 minutes after drop-off with a factual and believable story and a price tag of $900.00 which he stated was a deal. I say no thanks. Took my car to a trusted mechanic which I should have gone the 1st time around. Problem fixed for $200.00. My truck is too cold to touch right now. AC is mint! I had went here once several years ago to get an alignment they brought my truck out and said I didn't need one and sent me on my way. Without charging me a dime. I said wow! couldn't believe it. After that I recommended it to anyone that would listen. Fast forward 2 years later I go because I know I need some hub bearings for my truck and I wanted it done right. This new service manager says your going to have to leave it , which is understandable because it was late. He called me the next day and said "yes you need a new hub bearing on the driver side, it would be wise to just change them both" I agreed makes logical sense to me. Then he called me back and said my brakes were frozen and I needed new calipers ....questionable(even though, I had all 4 brakes done recently) but ok.....then he called me again and said I needed rotors because they were falling apart....which I didn't believe him but I wasn't then there to look so ok ...plus he charged me for new pads which I called him on he said "its policy" The he called me again and said I needed new tie rods in the front.... I said I just had them installed a month ago before the front differential was done. HE said" maybe they didn't tighten it down good enough" I said just put my truck together and give it here $1740 later. Then he tried to get me for tires on the way out. Which I wasn't in dyer need but would need some some soon I ask for a quote because they had some on sale. By 4 and get a 150 off ....the tires were 178. Why did he have his tire guy quote me 8 and change before taxes. Like I can't add. Know why? Because they added a 95.00 life of the tire rotation without asking or explaining. This automotive service center quite frankly perhaps is the most honest repair shop that I've ever frequented since moving from Queens, New York. Steve and Pete are simply the most professional tandem that was a pleasure for me to meet. I'm sorry, there is another worker at the counter and I don't remember her name, but she's good as well.
