While I was on the Long Island Expressway, my engine light came on and the car started smoking from the engine. I pulled over and realized it was my radiator overheating on my jeep grand Cherokee. Now I needed to get it fixed ASAP! I went on Yelp and found this Tire Guys that fixes everything. I took it in and the owner Tony was there. He immediately looked at my car and said yep your radiator is cracked! Now, honestly I don't have that kind of money to change a radiator, but I also don't have money to buy a new car either. To my dismay he offered to fix it for a reasonable price within my budget. But what was most impressive he had my car up and running again in 4 hours. I mean 4 hours!!!! I didn't have to rent a car, I didn't have downtime and it most importantly didn't ruin my vacation. I mean I didn't want to spend money fixing it either, but I also needed my car! I can't recommend them enough. If you ever need your car fixed I would highly recommend The Tire Guys in Seldon, NY! The owner Tony said they recently purchased the place within the past couple of months. I can't say what the previous owners did, but this guy Tony saved my week! Thank you Tony!!! I will be letting my friends know to come to you whenever they have car troubles.

So I called to ask if someone could replace the trim clips. I have an enormous assortment, which I purchased online. Anthony said to bring the car over, and he'll take a look. Well, none of the 620 clips in the box will work. Pfffft. He said that the clips have to go in a certain way, and they slide on. He said that I will have to go to Land Rover for the clips, and he would install them. He very kindly put some more tape on the trim, and didn't charge me for it. I will get the clips, and return. I also need his help with another issue, and I feel very confident that he'll do a great job at a fair price. I am delighted to have found a good mechanic!! Being a Saturday, not many shops were open. I used Yelp, and found this place. Not only were the reviews great, but they were open! My fiancé called, explained his current issue and the lovely gentleman on the phone took his name and told him to bring it in! He brought his car in and they told him they probably won't be able to get to it today due to closing in a few hours, but would try and then with the incoming storm it would probably be Tuesday. Not a problem at all! After I picked him up after he dropped his car off he said the gentleman behind the counter was very nice! Fast forward to Tuesday morning (due to the storm, didn't open Monday) they told him they couldn't find anything wrong or a reason for the smoke/steam. They stated they looked it over, drove it, had it run and still couldn't find anything. They also repaired another issue that a previous mechanic quoted him over $2k to fix for about $500. My fiancé was and is very happy with the service he received on his car. He stated he will now bring both of our cars here for all of our car needs!

Been taking my old beater work Honda here for years and they have been reliable, friendly and most importantly- honest. They've done all my basic maintenance, usually just brake pad, battery, inspection related. Always done in a relatively timely fashion for a fair price. Never once tried to upsell me on extra work in order to pass inspection. My most recent encounter with them, which is what really motivated me to leave this review, was especially appreciated. I don't know much about cars, but there was something a little stiff with my steering, and I thought maybe the power steering or some belt was going. Took it into East Setauket Auto and asked them to take a look at it and let me know what needed to be done. They could've told me numerous things and hit me with some multi hundred dollar charges, but instead they looked at it and honestly told me nothing was wrong with it and no work needed to be done so I picked my car up no charge. That type of honesty is priceless and will recommend this auto shop to everyone who needs one. Great people here. On top of all that the place just looks cool- convenient location in a nice area- retro, old school style office and shop, feels like going back in time in a good way.

So I went to Yelp and read reviews, and ended up at Zima. I didn't have an appointment, and the place was very busy. So I got my book and read while I waited. The owner, a very nice man, told me to walk with him and he checked my tires. He remarked that I must not drive a lot. I said mostly to Riverhead, and in CO everything was within 10 minutes. He checked to see if he had a slightly used tire in stock. He did not, so had to order one. It's $305 for a new tire, including mounting. He's going to rotate the tires for $20. I didn't ask if he does price matching. I might have gotten a better price somewhere else, but I need this done. He said that he'll call me when the tire comes in, probably today.
