I've been going for tire service to the Malden Goodyear for about 8 years now (my Dad always went there) and they have never disappointed me. The staff is friendly, courteous, professional and the serviice is reliable and efficient. There was a time that i was convinced that i needed to buy a new tire but they were able to fix it and a year later it's still driveable. They've never tried to upsell or get me to get other auto work done. If they see something, they tell you and then the choice is youre. I highly recommend this place to others. read more

Horrible experience. Had an appointment to install tires and the manager just says "I'll get to you when I get to you." Barely will talk to you and doesn't care about helping you. I can't say enough about this place. They will literally drop everything to help you even on a Saturday. I had a problem with my tires today, drove in and ask them for help. The man who helped me, his name was Gordon, was amazing. So personable, unbelievably helpful, I didn't even know until we talked for a while but he was military! I think that's a plus. I can't say enough about this place. The cost of the tires is spot on, and they totally stand behind of service 100%. Last night, I had a low tire. It was on a Sunday night, and I am recovering from knee surgery. This morning, I called so many places about getting the tire fixed. No one wanted me because it was a holiday. My neighbor suggested I call Goodyear in Malden. They took me in, did a thorough inspection of the tire, and fixed the air leak... which was the beading at the wheel. I was treated like a queen with so much kindness. Well, went online few days ago and set up an appointment to get 2 tires replaced, picked the tires set up the appointment for today 9am, I receive a call this morning at 8:30 am telling me that the truck is running late and that I'll will receive a call to let me know when the shipment will be in. I got a second call at 10:30 am telling me that the truck is coming from Syracuse and won't be in till Saturday. Now my question is why all this mess for 2 tires, waisted my time waiting. Called on Friday to see if they had an earlier appointment was told 3:00. Note this was for one tire. Went in and was told he would get to me(the manager). Waited 40 minutes went up and asked if he had an eta. He told me he could not give one that they closed at 5:00. I asked him to cancel my order that I pre-paid. Went out to the car and waited a few minutes. Went back i. And asked for a receipt. He then tells me that since I ordered online that I needed to make care of it online. That was 30 minutes to get that piece of information from the store manager. Filed an j code my report with Goodyear. DO NOT RECOMMEND going to this place at all. Highly unprofessional. read more

I needed to have all 4 tires replaced for a Jeep Patriot, and the buying and installation process from start to finish was very smooth. After shopping around at various shops in the area, Goodyear had the best deals on tires and came in about $100 cheaper than others in the area (and online coupons were easier to find). Ended up going with the Kelly Edge All Seasons. I scheduled an appointment for a Friday at 8am, and the shop called me a few days in advance to switch to 9am, which was fine. The reason it didn't get five stars was because I was told it would take 1 1/2 hours and ended up being around 2 1/2 hours to change all tires out. I was out by 11:30am. It seems like a busy shop, there was no shortage of folks dropping or picking up their cars, so the earlier you can get an appointment the better. Customer service wise, the man at the front was responsive to questions and I didn't get any unprofessional/rude vibes from him. Ultimately, I was happy with the experience, the new tires were installed perfectly and have been a smooth ride. read more

I needed tires ASAP for a last minute long distance trip. Thursday night I ordered my tires and scheduled an installation appointment for Saturday 8AM. I called Friday to confirm. I called to inquire about a car battery. I was told we don't have car batteries at this location we have to order it and it can be here today. I said OK what is the price. $140-$200. OK can I find out which mine would be I can give you the make and model of my car. No you'd have to bring the car here. If I bring it in today will I have a battery today. Walk-ins were serviced before my appointment. I scheduled my appointment for 9am at least a week in advance. Showed up early, and didn't get my car serviced until after 12pm while walk-ins came in and left with their problems solved. I went up to the service desk at 11:59 am to ask for an update, and I was told they don't usually do alignments on Mondays (I wasn't told until after the fact), so they called the guy who does alignments and he showed up at 9am; the start time of my appointment. Sooooooo, he didn't work on my car when he got there, why? I don't understand the hold up, and why they're not prioritizing scheduled appointments. What is the point of scheduling appointments if they prioritize walk-ins? Lol. Terrible service. *UPDATE: It's 12:46pm, and my car is finally being looked at. Lesson learned: Don't set up an appointment, just walk-in to get better service and respect from the staff. read more

Have you ever wished you were a race car driver? I'm certain it's a common experience when you were a kid to wish you were all sorts of things. Well, now that you're an adult, you can still feel like you have your very own pit crew. A few weeks ago, I arranged to have some required maintenance done on my car. I dropped the car off and picked it up the next day and everything was taken care of as expected. However, that's not what makes them extraordinary. A few days later I noticed a scraping sound coming from the front of my car. So, I made another appointment to come in. When I brought the car in and described the problem, the store manager, a jovial man by the name of Tommie Bethune, he said he wanted to go outside and take a look at the problem personally. After a quick inspection, he found that the wheel guard on the passenger side had come loose and was dragging on the ground. (considering the car is a 2005 Nissan, I'm not surprised that little things like this are starting to go) He told me to chill inside for 15 minutes while he took care of it. 10 minutes later, he came inside and said I was all set. When I asked him what I owed, he said nothing and told me to have a great day. However, one great experience isn't enough for me to take to yelp and tell the world about this place. Several months ago, I was driving along and I heard a popping noise and then I lost power steering. (Ultimately, it turned out that one of the belts had broken due to age) I found someplace to pull over and I had the car towed to Goodyear in Malden. It was after hours, so I had to leave my car keys in one of the little envelopes. When I called them the morning of the next day, I talked to the store manager, Tommie, and he said he would get the car done as quickly as possible, however, it would probably be a few days as they were booked solid. I completely understood, however, in the course of our conversation I mentioned that the reason I wanted the car soon was so my girlfriend and I could get together to celebrate a personal milestone. ( she lives about an hour away). I thanked him and prepared to wait a few days for my vehicle. That evening, I received a call from the store manager, Tommie. He told me that my car was ready to go and he had fixed it personally. Apparently, he was touched by my devotion to my girlfriend and when I picked the car up the next morning, he related a personal story about himself and his wife when they were dating, which was why my situation resonated with him. I can't recommend this shop enough. If you want to feel like you have your own personal racing pit crew behind you that cares about how your car issue is affecting your life, this is the place to go. read more

This is probably one of the worst places I've ever gone to, to get my oil changed. Dropped my car off at 9:45 in the morning, and the man "Anthony" told me 2 hours or so until I got my car back. At 2pm I still had not gotten my car back so I called, he said my car would be in next and he would call after it was done. I never received a call. I went in at 5:30 to see if my car was done and he was very rude and argumentative, he never apologized for the wait, and said oh I said a couple hours. No, you said 2 hours. Horrible manager service. Called many times on Monday August 9(my birthday) wanted to speak to the manager that helped me that prior Friday and an associate told me he will be in in 45 minutes. Called an hr later and same employee said he wasn't going to be in for the day. Called 3 hrs later and the Manger that helped me Friday picked up the phone and he told me he was there all day . Made an appointment with the Manger for Tuesday August 10 at 930 am. I showed up at 915 and the service manager said that the other manager put me in for 8am. And he told me he was very busy to service me today. That I can make an appointment for Thursday. I called corporate and they told me I can go in at 1 pm. Went here for an alignment on my car. Honestly no complaints! The guy at the front desk was super helpful and super nice. Although they looked very busy, he was calm cool and collect! Even when I presented a coupon, he was actually happy to put it in the system. If I had to say one thing, it would be the time/wait. Dropped it off around noon. Prelim estimates, they told me it would be about two hours. After two hours I called and they said maybe another two. Total time was exactly four hours. Luckily I lived closed by and walked home and just did things at home. Overall, great experience at this location. They didn't even try to sell me anything more than what I wanted. Sarcasm is their number one defensive argument when a customer is not happy. You don't have a reason when you complaint either. Horrible services, false promises, they told me they would match other tire price but when I showed them another price they found an excuse. Rude front desk employees too they will answer with sarcasm and irony. Specially if you walk in when they are extremely busy, they will treat you like shit. Like it's your fault things happened with your tires and if it's your fault they don't get paid enough to handle pressure at busy times or when dealing with unhappy customers. After regretting using their services, I went to other tire stores and they were much much better! I def don't recommend this location. read more

These guys are awesome. I bought some (pre-mounted) wheels and tires on TireRack.com. I just needed them swapped out with my current set for the winter. The shop staff is very friendly, and while the swap took a little longer than I would have liked (they're busy!), they did a fine job with everything. They even hand-torqued all of the wheels, and said to come back in 30 or 50 miles (can't remember which) to get them torqued a final time (for free!). Oh, and they are the cheapest around! I can not recommend them enough! I'm using them again to get the summer wheels put back on. read more

I had my tires changed here a couple times mainly due to the affordable price and close proximity from my house. It is also a recommended installer by TireRack. On the first several occasions there were no issues, however the previous (and last) time I was there, they absolutely messed up on the tire change. I have a staggered setup on my car (different size tires on the rear and front) and they ended up putting on the tires in the incorrect order (front tire in the rear, vice versa), even after I told them about the setup. Luckily, I was able to spot the problem shortly thereafter and had them fix it before any serious issues arose. Lesson: check your tires before you leave the premises, leaving it in the hands of so-called experts are not enough in this day and age. read more

Came in here for an oil change and came back to a car with adhesive from a sticker smeared onto my driver seat. What a disgrace! Technicians at this Goodyear location should have had the brains not to place stickers onto fabric. They just burned a bridge with this customer. read more

Been going here for 2 years. This location is great for oil changes, slapping on a new set of competitively priced tires, and other routine services. Every time I make an appointment I make sure to arrive on time (or a few minutes early) and I am taken care of right away, unlike other shops where it seems like it doesn't matter if you made the appointment or not. I go out of my way to go here when there are closer shops nearby because I know I will be taken care of! read more

I had an appointment for an oil change. When I got there, there were 4 guys in the shop and 1 at the service desk on the phone. I stood at the service desk for 10 minutes without the Goodyear employee working there so much as acknowledging me. It took 5 minutes for someone else to come ask if they could help, and I was then told "hold on, he'll help you." After standing there for 10 minutes with no acknowledgment from the employee who was supposed to be helping me, I turned around and left. He should've put his customer on hold, greeted me, and taken the 2 minutes to get my oil change under way. These guys have great prices, but my time is worth money, and I pay for service. I lost one and didn't get the other, and will not give them my business in the future. read more

Came in for a tire flat. It was fixed for free (although I tipped $10). Left with a broken tire pressure monitoring system...somehow it was miraculously broken during fixing the flat. Avoid at all cost. This place is beyond shady. read more

I brought my truck in for shaking sound. 1200$ dollars later and brought the truck back 5 times they could not fix it said it has to go to dealer. They didn't offer any compensation for having to bring the truck back and forth 5 times for 3 days each. Don't waste your time find another place read more

I had an 8AM appointment to have 4 new tires put on my car. I didn't quibble with the price (800) Dollars. I arrived at 7.55 am. When I made the appointment, They said that the tires were in stock, when I arrive, the man in charge asked if I was going to wait or come back. When I made the appointment they asked that question, and I said that I would wait. He then said to me that I had a long wait. I asked why, and he stated that the tires weren't there and they had to come from different stores. Needless to say, I was very upset. If they didn't have the tires, why make an 8am appointment. I guess they didn't want my business. I'll NEVER buy another product from they or deal with Goodyear Auto Service Centers again, and I suggest to everyone to do the same. I have an online discount through my company, which the manager (Dennis) was more than happy to honor in person to make the process easier. Drop off and pick up were very quick and easy, all of my options were explained clearly to me with no hard pressure, and the car runs extremely smooth now with the new tires and alignment. Service is good. People are nice. Good installer and reasonable price for installation and balance for TireRack.com online purchase. Not that strong at tire alignment. Both times they struggled with my Jeep alignment. Honest about noticing other repairs, but not pushing for them. Did a few other items which were needed, serpentine belt, tensioner and rebuilt brake caliper. All done well and timely, but price of parts and labor was 2X. Happy job was done, but prices of parts was 2X retail, and labor was $100/hr at the end of the day. I generally like the place, the people, but prices for aux services was too high. read more

I brought my Camry in for tires. I don't know if they were trying to show off or what, but the management is HORRIBLE. The way they treat their employees can't be legal. I've seen micromanagement before but this place is over the top. Name calling, constant harassment, the works. The old guy is always angry every time I come in. He runs around constantly stressing. I see the difference in the employees once he goes out where the cars are. It's an instant dark cloud and they all look like they're ready to quit and go home. I feel bad because I just went through something similar that finally forced me to quit. And mine wasn't nearly as bad. Just coming here for service stresses me out. I can only imagine what is like to have to work in these conditions. Aside from the horrible micromanagement, the service is always a existed. I have no complaints about the work done to my car. Brought my old 1998 Kia Sephia in on a Thursday evening for a look at the charging system (they didn't find anything) and an oil change. When they backed my car out of the service bay after the work was done, it tracked oil all the way, releasing a large puddle of oil when they parked it. I had to leave it there for 72 hours while they arranged for one of their technicians to service the car. Ultimately they felt they could not evaluate the issue properly (it turned out to be a $15 faulty oil switch), and so I waited for my regular mechanic to open up on Monday. They completely waived the bill for the charging system exam and the oil change, though, saying "You've got enough on your plate," as we all expected the worst from the oil leak. So - three stars for not having the capacity to evaluate the problem, but five for the humanitarian gesture, greatly appreciated! read more

This place has been here forever. Purchased tires over 2 decades ago here. Service is great. Got the right tires for the right price. Very customer service oriented. Manager is detail oriented and gets it right. Service techs were right on when it came to taking care of my truck. Very few places actually use a torque wrench to make sure the nuts on my wheels are correctly tightened to specification. That is what I call being thorough. Only thing is that it is a little run down. Could be spruced up from the 25+ year decor. I will be back! read more

Always accomodating, even when they are swamped! They are very fair and honest. We do auto body repair and have used their tire and alignment services for years and they stand behind their work. read more
