I was shopping at the GW on Apache Trail and Idaho today during their 50% day. I found these really cool large wall hangings for $3.49 each. I thought heck, that's $1.75 each! So, off to the register I went to pay for them. The clerk looked at the first one and said this is $12.00. I corrected her and showed her the price tag of $3.49. She then said that if there is a code on the item, which in this case was a hand written 'LP' on the inside, then it's a different price. I told her that's not correct. The price tag says $3.49. I then asked to speak with a manager. The manager confirmed what the clerk said. I said how would I know as a shopper to look for codes that mean a different price? Then I asked didn't a Goodwill employee put the tag on it and both the manager and the clerk said no, it wasn't. So who did?? They never responded to that question. Long story...the manager ended up giving me both items for $1.75 each. Does anyone else think something is fishy here?? read more

I didn't find any musical instruments here made me sad, I was looking for a cheap used guitar. But this Goodwill was huge. More clothes than you can shake a stick at. So I'm sure you can find a deal on them if that's what you're looking for I am sure. read more

Tuesdays, as I discovered, are Senior Discount days. You show them your ID and they give you 25% your merchandise. I scored 3 shirts and a hoodie for $22! Regularly that would have been at least $50 if not more, so that in itself is a steal! Your typical Goodwill, this one is in my area of the woods, Apache Junction. It was super busy and flowing with people of all ages. So many people, in fact, that I could not get any pix for my review. But I can tell you this store is constantly accepting donations too, which is where all my too big for me now clothes went while I was in the hospital...some items I was very bummed to discover had been accidentally donated. But ai am helping plus size women add to their wardrobe now that I am a Skinny Minnie so I guess it's a win-win of some sort, right? So yes, go check out this location and find yourself some great bargains. They have holiday items both Halloween & Christmas out already as well if you need anything . read more

I love this goodwill so much they are Stocked with a lot of good stuff but one thing but this one time I went with my mom and this guy came in he was homeless he had half of his clothes on and I know it's a goodwill but still and he was homeless they should have kicked him out bc of the Smell he had on him read more

I remember when I was doing painting and thought to buy a used shirt at Goodwill. I tried it; however, they wanted more for the used shirt then I pay for New Quality shirts at major retailers. How can that be???? Maybe some folks look raggy and decide to do all their shopping at Goodwill?? Nevertheless, there are bargans there too. I remember a used toilet was excellent and reasonable - went back to get it and it was sold already. Heck, it was a nice toilet and already broken in. Still, it's 5 stars for a drop off point on used furniture and used household goods - I'm more a donator than a customer. read more

My lord Goodwill is way way overpriced. I was in there today and could not believe the price they had on things and to top it off. They're charging you $.10 for a bag really Goodwill. you're supposed to help people not price gouge on things that were donated to your company/organization. All so I would think you would keep it better organized and clean. I will most definitely be going back to my other secondhand stores and yard sales. read more

Goodwill - Retail Store and Donation Center...185 W Apache Trail, Apache Junction, AZ 85120 Over Priced~This is the most expensive goodwill store in the area. And it isn't because they"re a cleaner store or have a better selection or higher quality of donated items! It's Not and they Don't! I just bought a game for the kids. they had it taped shut and charged $4.49 for the game. Got it home, opened it up and it was missing the important parts of the game. They don't check what they're selling. They over charge. Most of the workers here are Not helpful or friendly, and Forget about the donation drop off in the back. We only had a 3 small light items to donate, the grumpy old guy seen me pull up, turned around and went back into the store and stayed there. No big deal-I unloaded the things myself. It was early morning, not hot and not busy back there! I will start taking my items to the other thrift stores in town though. Side Note ...It's bad enough Goodwill took out the dressing rooms in their stores. Now you have people trying clothes on in the aisles because if you buy it and it doesn't fit you only get a store credit. "Don't" take off the tag off of ANYTHING you buy unless your sure you want to keep it. -they wont take it back. read more

This was a nice Goodwill store. It was extremely organized. There were a TON of kids clothing and kids costumes. Rows and rows of kids costumes! I was amazed! most of the kids toys were pretty beat up and stained, but I was able to find 2 plushies in good condition. Lots of kitchen items (cups, mugs, plates, etc.). I was able to find a few collectible items in these categories. They also had a good collection of books here. The people inside were nice and I left a happy customer. I'll be back again. read more

My first visit here and I wish I lived closer to this one. The place is clean. Bathrooms clean. Lots of good finds in really good condition, some things could have passed for new: a handful of their purses, a garfield plush, two barstools, a musical/wind up angel, and the women's clothing selection was nice and varied as well. I'm glad I came to this goodwill before I went to the Ross next door to it. I saved a good amount shopping here first. If I am in the area again, I'm pretty sure I will find myself here. read more

The prices on items are often more than retail. They know what is collectible (Pyrex dishes, certain name brand clothes, cast iron pans) and overcharge on these items even if they are rusted, chipped, and stained. Their prices are higher than in nicer areas (come on, this is AJ). When I asked, they said it is because of the clientele. Also, the bathrooms are locked because of said clientele doing drugs in the bathrooms. Also, it is demeaning that there are no dressing rooms. Poor people should not have to spend gas going home and then coming back to return the item if it doesn't fit. This goodwill and the other AJ location smell stronger than most, and I leave smelling worse than a strip club. The bottom line is that their greed has taken the fun out of thrifting. This is a non-profit with a rich CEO who claims to help people but doesn't even give people the dignity of a dressing room and affordable prices. They should change their name to Badwill. read more
