I had a cart full of good finds for my new apartment across the street on Power and Baseline and I was grabbing another cart because ours was full when an employee named Christine yelled at me and wrongly accused me of stealing. I apologized & asked her to search me but she threatened to call the police and banned me from the store... I wasn't able to make my purchases and neither was my partner and I am scared to go back today... I've gone here twice since I moved in and always spend a lot of money. I went in with high hopes, there was huge selection of clothes and other goods. I loaded my cart up with various articles of clothing to try on. I spent probably a good hour going through the clothing racks. When I finished looking I searched for a fitting room to try on all the things I picked out, but I couldn't find one. I found an employee and asked if they had one and they said no. I then inquired about the return policy. There's a two week return policy but you must have the tags still on and they only give store credit and will estimate how much you paid for the amount they give back. AND if you do buy something, you won't get any shoppings for them. I don't see myself going back here. read more

Oh I love savers I am obsessed with it!! This is my second time going to this location and it's easily becoming one of my favorite locations!! The staff there is amazing!! They seriously are great! Alex at the door is super nice! And Marianna who checked me out was helpful and nice!!!! If I had to pick one complaint it would be some of the prices are a little more than I thought. I know the times and I know they have to bump up the prices to pay their employees. But there are items that I thought were a dollar or two dollar more than they should be. I think I would've spent more (and I spent $85) if they were a little lower. But having a great staff is what kept this review at a five star!!! read more

come here to waste your time and money. waited in line for longer than acceptable to the point where a customer made a nasty joke about me standing there when i said "hi" at the counter the cashier with blue short haired turned away to talk to coworkers in response. only words out of the worker's mouth were to bluntly inform me coupons "aren't allowed" to which i responded, "okay" yet for some reason they asked if that was okay. why waste your breath over that when you can't muster a "hi" is beyond me. of course couldn't be bothered to fold my items. tried to hustle me out before i had my items since she couldn't bother pushing them near me rude with attitude, maybe alternate workers mondays as this one seemed burned out. hope everything fits as i won't be coming back read more

This is one of my most favorite places to shop the people are always extremely friendly, and on my last visit, I came up $0.62 cents short and the guy in charge of checkout lowered the price a couple dollars, I thought that was very extremely nice. And I didn't even have to ask, I told him to help me take off an item that I was a little short on money for, and he lowered the price so I could get all my items. :) read more

First and last time at Savers! Save your time and skip the trip to savers! A total waste of time! On Monday, they have half off day. Went on Monday morning and there was a line out the door before they opened and people were actually rushing out of their cars in the parking lot to go get in line! You would have thought this was a super Black Friday sale with how people were acting. Got into the store and was practically mowed down by crazed shoppers looking for anything to buy at half off. I have no idea what these people were buying as there was nothing but junk in this store. Total junk! The majority of shoppers were so aggressive with pushing others out of the way and loading their carts with junk! The store was disgusting inside with dirty shelving and even smelled of urine! The toy section was nothing but junky and broken toys thrown all over the place. The home section had a bunch of used up cookware and junky home decor. I managed to find a book that ended up only being $1 since it was half off day. Went to the checkout only to have more issues with this store. They have self checkouts and only 2 of them took cash. Had to wait for one of those 2 machines to be available. The self checkout machine was one of the most confusing self checkouts I've ever used. You have to push about 5 buttons before you can scan your item. They also charge 10 cents for bags as if you are in a CA grocery store. Once out of the store I felt like I could actually breathe and had some personal space. Being in Savers for the 15 minutes I was in the store was the most uncomfortable I've ever felt in a thrift store in the state of AZ! I will never be back! read more

Monday's are fabulous ! 50% off almost everything, exclusions on brand spanking new (not previously owned) items. Color tag system (what's on special) WFSS - 50% color tags (4 older colors); T - 30% seniors; Thursday = W + 25% off 2 newer tags (members only; just sign up with your phone number and email when you check out and you get special sale alerts by email. I've noticed they have a "pre-sale" the day before a big holiday, so for holiday Mondays, members get 50% off on Sunday, the day before the holiday. At this location, back-room "production" staff are off Sundays and Mondays. That means no fresh inventory on shelves if you were there Saturday night (unless they didn't finish putting out goods ticketed on Saturday). All other days, production staff are working hard to get more treasures ready for you. I LOVE Savers, but this location, not so much. They seem very pricey compared to other thrift stores and even the Goodwill just down at the end of this strip mall, so no, we haven't found many treasures here worth the price. Take CD's as an example. They are $1.99 or less EVERYWHERE else. Who is actually spending an extra dollar at this store for CDs ?!? Whoever you are, enjoy them for $2.99. We'll check back once in a blue moon in case Savers decides to lower prices to market, otherwise glad others are keeping this location afloat. read more

No fitting rooms for a store that sales mostly clothes. I'll never go back. I don't understand.

I went to savers tonight, half off Monday, like I always do. Im at the register when a employee approached me wanting to see the bottom of my boots stating she saw a tag. So I picked up my feet to see half a worn out goodwill tag. She said ok. Then she went to my friend at another register saying the same thing demanding that she lift her feet. Now I just gave my friend those boots the night before at my house. Turns out a had bought them at savers. The woman sees the tag and starts saying "that's our tag! " my friend tries to explain she wore them in? But that didn't seem to satisfy her and she kept saying that's our tag. My friend finally called over to me and I confirmed what she already told the lady. then the woman says, "I was just asking". But she wasn't JUST asking she was accusing! IT'S RIDICULOUS! People shop there, stands to reason they may come back wearing clothes they bought there. Are they going to start harassing everyone who has a tag on the bottom of their shoes? So what if it has your tag! I bought it! It's not like it just happened to me, she did it to both of us. Get it together SAVERS! And no I didn't even try on any shoes. read more

Have shopped at the Savers on Power road a few times. I am mainly looking for fabric. The selection of cotton fabric is slim. There are lots of clothes and knick knacks. The staff is always very pleasant. If you make a donation you will get a 20% discount. You can also sign up for a frequent shopper card. read more

I've been to this location twice, a couple of years apart. The first time my daughter and I had gone to the Goodwill because it was their Saturday half-price day, which we love, and we had never been to that location. We saw that there was a Savers next door so of course we had to check it out too. Savers prices are much higher than Goodwill's but we lucked out and found some cute things for half off because they were having a big sale that day too. They would almost need to, just to compete with the Goodwill. I remember finding some cute Christmas shirts for my grandchildren. I came here again about a week ago, again after visiting the Goodwill, and I think I only bought two things. That doesn't help their turnover much but all of their prices were just way more than I'm used to spending. Sometimes I feel like thrift stores don't realize that more people will buy more things if the price is lower even though they'll get less money per item. If it was a consignment shop I would understand because they would have to pay for the items to the customer that brought them in. But since they get the things donated then I just don't get charging $12 or $15 for a pair of snow pants, for example. To be honest I don't even know what organization Savers benefits. Maybe I would feel better if I felt like my money was going to help someone so I guess I should research that. But even so, I see things that are priced practically what they would cost new, and in some cases even more, like an item that I know was in the dollar bin at Michaels and it's selling for $1.99 at Savers. I often go to thrift stores looking for yarn but if I'm going to spend two or three dollars a skein I might as well buy it new at Michaels or Jo-Ann's with my coupon. Then I wouldn't have to worry about it having cat hairs on it or smoke smell. I will still probably check back with the store if I'm ever in the area, which isn't often, and just just cross my my fingers I hit on a day when they have a sale going on, but I probably wouldn't make a special trip all the way out here from Chandler just to go to the Savers. The savings wouldn't be enough incentive. read more

Great store. I'm not sure where the high price reviews are coming from. I bought 4 pairs of shorts for my son and two outfits for my daughter. They were very nice for the price. They were also name brand. The highest priced one was $3.99 which, is normal pricing for a thrift store. It was very busy there. I had to smash my cart into some of hanging clothes in order for people to get by. On the flip side, the cashier was very nice. Even one of the employees held the door when I came in and was very polite. Maybe the store hired new people because they were great. read more

My issue with the store is the way the check outs are set up. The flow is all messed up since the jewelry display case is blocking the way to the front doors. All the customers from the first register have the customers from the other registers trying to go past them to get around the counter and out the door. It was a mess if people weaving in and out just trying to exit the store. And I get doing away with plastic bags and replacing them with paper but making your customers bag their own stuff?? C'mon Savers, you're better than that. read more

This store buys much of it's stuff from excess from Sunshine Acres thrift store in Mesa. They buy in bulk boxes, quite cheap, but not free.

The worst experience ever!!! I went into Saver off of Power and Baseline two nights ago to bless a young lady with some work clothes. while killing time waiting for her to try on what she wanted. I browsed and I found a few pairs of jeans and a few pairs of black pants for work. After returning the unwanted items to the rack, a young lady asked was I done I told her not quite and continued browsing. I never expected that I was being followed nor watched. As I proceeded to the counter to purchase my items I was approached by a manage being asked if I had by chance swapped out my bra for one of their's. Laughing in disbelief of the question I responded no ma'am. Not only offended as well as embarrassed because she was loud and rude, I explained that I would never do such and thing plus I hadn't even went to the bra section. And wouldn't purchase undergarments from a second hand store. The young Lady who asked me to bring her to savers in the first place come up to the counter so that I could purchase her items as well. Then the manager states well if it wasn't you then it was her. I explained again I had done no such thing and asked the cashier to ring me up. Store manager Destiny say that I could not buy anything. Destiny states that she wants me to leave, I responded yes ma'am after I make my purchase. Laughing again because she was seriously accusing me of something false. The manager than threatens to call the police. I say please do so, because this is ridiculous. I haven't done anything wrong. The manager then began yelling that I was trespassing because she asked me to leave and I'd be arrested. The situation was beyond me. Never in a million years would I ever imagine to be treated is such a manner. Of course I left the Savers unharmed and not in handcuffs from whooping Miss Destiny ass but yes overwhelmed with disrespect and feeling singled out. Not only have I made a verbal complaint with corporate. Hopefully Store manager Destiny see that no matter the color of a person skin we are all humans and deserve common courtesy, great customer service and kindness. I pray that the company reviews the cameras and store manager Destiny Will get reprimanded for her wrongdoing. read more

Buyer beware. If you plan on using a discount since you can't try on any clothes if you try to return them will they will not let you get new merchandise with the discount it will expect you to pay more money for the same worth of clothes meaning you saving 20% discount for $17.99 item you're not allowed to try it on they force you to take it home you bring it back. Now they'll give you the $14 back and $.41 so you now lose your discount so you can no longer get a $17.99 item so basically you have to now pay money for the same thing that you couldn't try on in the first place they've become a scam will not be going to them again. Now think of it had nothing fit the 20% discount that I had saved would've been absorbed by the company basically stolen like the one pair luckily only one pair that I tried to return did. read more

Pluses and minuses! Pluses: Great store on many criteria for thrift stores... many sales... fair selection...moderate prices... variety from clothes and shoes to books and lamps; get on their list for emails and stay tuned to 50% off sale days. Minuses: Be careful..not the best regarding their return policy or donation card punch program (donate, get 1 punch, save up, get 30% off later), the coupons run out, so you have to use them quickly or they deny them... also return policy is not user friendly... if you buy a couch today, for example, and return it within the window of return (about a week), you have to use the credit THAT DAY... they won't give you a return gift card to use later like Goodwill does. Well, if you don't find another item you need that day, or don't have time to shop that day, you are out of luck... you lose your money, which, in a thrift person's budget, like mine, that's a HUGE LOSS. Kind of a glitch in their customer service process in my opinion; that policy doesn't serve their customer; no other store does that. I've talked to management about it several times and the local store employees are not able to do anything about it; I asked them to give the feedback to the higher-ups. read more

Bad store/uncooperative management. Tried to exchange items purchased at another location 60 miles away, was told I had to go to that location because they would not have priced the items that way??!!' How is that my problem? Get on the same page or change your policy! I have asked the other store about their return policy prior to making the purchase, was told that they don't accept returns but I can exchange the things that don't fit at ANY store. By the way the items I brought back are brand name and would probably resell within less than 24 hours. I will never go back to that store! read more

HUGE well organized thrift store. Prices aren't too bad, especially for baby clothes and books. You have to really pick through the adult section, but I never leave empty handed. Furniture and big ticket items disappear quickly. Also, a great place to escape the heat in the summer! read more

I don't understand why certain people want to pull the race card and claim all of the employees are racist because they definitely are NOT. I think that kind of claim is very ignorant. I frequent this store because I like their selection compared to Goodwill but the customer service is severely lacking. The employees are rude, pushy, and smoke outside the door. One of the managers is completely obnoxious and yells "WOO HOO!!" into the mic every time she makes an announcement. I do however like the male manager with the beard, he is always very sweet and offers great customer service. read more

This Savers has really gone down the tubes. I have shopped this store since they opened. I normally have bought arm-loads of cloths (and sometimes electronics). But, somebody has either gotten greedy or simply unrealistic in pricing. Today, and on my last visit a couple of weeks back, I had found several items I wanted to purchase. The problem; the pricing has become ridiculous. Short sleeve shirts priced $12 to $25. Tee-shirts priced above $8. I went to Macy's after leaving this Savers and found sale priced new clothes for less. There is a real disconnect in this store's management. People come to Savers to find good deals and buy clothing used for a reason. Jacking the prices way up is going to lose customers and it misses the realities of your customer base. After these last two trips, making the drive to this store and then leaving empty-handed, makes me want to give up on Savers after being a loyal customer for a long time. read more

This is more to Savers/Value Village as a corp. I have shopped these stores most of my life. I love the deal hunt and these stores are always full of wonderful old and new treasures. However recently the prices have been bordered on highway robbery. A second hand store should not have jeans for $20 or shoes for $30 regardless the brand. read more
