Goodside Coffee is one of the coolest, if not, the best coffee shops that I've visited here in Sacramento. I love the decor and the vibe that they provide honestly. Big shoutout to Ale for making us feel so welcome especially because I was in town for the California All-State Music Educators Conference, also known as CASMEC. Big kudos go to y'all! I got their vanilla latte with quad shots (yeah, I know, I was quite intense for getting four shots on two hours of sleep) - but the coffee aftertaste was CRISP and LINGERING. The butter jam toast that I got was really sweet and the melted butter texture was JUST right! I'd definitely give this place a try once more if you're thinking about visiting Sacramento and don't know which local business to support -- it's worth it! read more

Goodside? Nah, the owner looked like he woke up on the wrong side of bed. However, the coffee is good. Experience wasn't so much. I asked to use the restroom before ordering since I had to pee and have been holding it. The owner wouldn't let me use the restroom until after I ordered which felt like an eternity when you've been holding your piss on the drive there. At any rate, if you don't mind paying premium price for good coffee and terrible customer service, this place is for you. read more

Date with bestie and love trying new coffee places. This one is now one of our favorite spots. It's such a cute spot. Love the decor and all the windows. Very spacious and has a great vibe. I asked for their recommendation and tried their honey vanilla iced latte. It's one of the best iced lattes I've had. Bestie got a honey rose iced latte and she thoroughly enjoyed the rose notes in her drink. The New Yorker breakfast sandwich was also delicious and fresh tasting. Stopped by on my way into work the other day. I love trying all the small coffee shops throughout downtown. My mocha was almost too pretty to drink! Coffee was strong, delicious and not too bitter. STAY AWAY! Man with a hat was horrible and rude to me, without any provocation. Please stay away from this place. He was humiliating towards me and the coffee took ages for no reason. Clearly he seemed biased and racist. All I did was go a bit closer to the pickup spot and without me saying anything he put up his hand and loudly announced that he should not be approached by me and should only come by if he called my name. read more

I've only been here once and it is across the street from Music Circus. The one time I went, it was a lovely experience, as I got a ginger latte which was delicious. I've never had a ginger latte so good and they even make their syrups in house and none of that artificial sweeteners. Can't recommend them enough! read more

Stop by for breakfast after Sunday Yoga. I really like their expressos on the seasonal menu. I got the S'mores The Merrier - expresso, nutella, organic vanilla, oat milk, dust with cinnamon and brown sugar. It was delicious and a perfect hot drink on a cold morning. I was ravenous after yoga and the breakfast bagel sandwich sounds amazing! Toasted everything bagel with farm egg, bacon and white cheddar. It was satisfying and delicious! $10 for breakfast sandwich is a bit expensive, but that's the norm for the location. The service was quick! Plenty of tables and seats. The fantastic Rachel K brought me here before my trip back to Berkeley and so grateful she did. And at a time where the owner, Chuck, wasn't busy so we could ham it up. And Chuck's definitely awesome, so it was lovely to hear about his business. So they have super fun seasonal coffee drinks full of syrups and other yums like nutella. I passed and went latte and it was made perfectly. Smooth, robust and caffeinated, all how I like it. Currently they use Cat & Cloud Coffee from Santa Cruz and the high quality beans shine through. In addition to coffees, they serve a limited food menu of pastries, bagels and a toast. I went with the veggie bagel: sesame bagel with vegan cream cheese, topped with veggies. The bagel is light and chewy. It's a California bagel. The light layer of cc and fresh veggies were perfect for not wanting something heavy. I probably wouldn't order it again, as they also have a bacon, egg & cheese and lox sandwich option I'd try instead. The space is large, beautifully designed, plenty of seating with comfy seats and high ceilings. A wonderful place for a meeting, a catch up or just a solo visit to get work done, read a book or just look outside. I'm a fan. I definitely look forward to my next visit to Sac and a trip to Goodside. read more

Yesss goodside coffee is a great cafe! My friends and I came here during exam week to study and the staff was very friendly to us. The cafe was fairly empty but lots of corporate workers dropping in and out to pick up drinks. The overall atmosphere was very pleasant. I came on a Saturday morning/afternoon & my friend and I ordered from the seasonal menu I was a little nervous that if I asked to change the espresso shots I wouldn't be able to, but the employees were really nice and made me feel like it wasn't a big deal. Goodside Coffee is located in a big beautiful space in midtown. The huge windows and open air style makes this a wonderful destination to eat, drink, or meet friends. However, its the actual coffee itself that draws me here. Offering a variety of baked goods, different coffee roasts and other drinks, I love to order a light to medium roast, made to order, with some type of milk (they have a variety including plant-based). This simple but robust drink is as delicious as it is satisfying. What really set Goodside apart for me, was the decaffeinated coffee: I know, its just not as good right? Not here, because whatever use/roast is fabulous. When I am on a, "cut down on caffeine" kick, I know I can still get an amazing cup here. They have some delicious looking treats and a super comfortable vibe as well...and while I am basic in my coffee orders, others in my circle wax poetic about the more complicated orders. Top of the morning to ya' all. Goodside Coffee is one of the rare coffee places in midtown Sacramento that opens up early. Monday-Friday they open at 7am. Rejoice. I am obsessed with their lattes. Honey latte and the harvest chai latte are AH-amazing! I ask to make my drinks with oat milk which unfortunately they charge extra for milk substitutions. 75 cents extra. The harvest chai latte is my fave. Creamy and chai tasty. I go to a happy place when I drink a fresh hot one of those. Prices are comparable to the other local coffee places. $5.75. The bagels are pretty darn tasty. Nice crust with a chewy, dense bready inside. The cashew cream cheese spread taste like lemon n honey. At first my tastebuds were confused, but I settled in to luv the taste. Fluffy, smooth creamy consistency. Their bagel menu choices are extensive. A bagel with cream cheese is about $5. They even have pastries and cookies, all made by Estelle's patisserie. Grab n go or sit a spell. They got ya covered with free wifi and the side seating bench inside has electrical outlets for your charging needs. Staff here are fabulous. The baristas know their stuff. I dropped in a few days ago, the majority if not all are wearing masks. Oh and for the folks wondering if my review is based on the recent Yelp event, it is not. I did not attend that event. I was first introducted to Goodside Coffee through a recent Yelp event and I've been back a few times ever since! It's such a cute coffee shop. Large airy space with sleek brown and white decor with a pop of plant greenery and painted wall mural. Chill vibe and I always see a few people in the shop working on their laptops whenever I've stopped by. Metered street parking isn't too bad. I've been lucky enough to always find a spot right up front. I love their Dirty Harvest Chai seasonal Fall drink! Great pumpkin cinnamon-y flavors. I'd love to drink it all year around haha. I appreciate that I can substitute almond milk in it. I've tried it both cold and hot and I prefer it as a cold drink. I've also tried their Mocha which is pretty good too. My friend and I ordered a Bagel & Lox sandwich on a gluten free everything bagel, and the cream cheese had me whipped. It tasted wonderful. I also ordered a Harvest Chai Latte with oat milk and it was the perfect blend of pumpkin and chai. The baristas are very welcoming and also deserve a shoutout. I came on a Monday afternoon so it wasn't as busy, but for a downtown location this is a great work/study spot. Even managed to find free parking a block away. Another great little coffee place! Admittedly, I don't visit this part of town that much but pleasantly surprised to find this place. Attached to the memorial garage it just happens to be a bit out of the way but will definitely my go to spot whenever I park in this garage. I generally keep things simple with a drip or Americano and this place fit my expectations. The thing I really enjoyed about this place is the staff and location. They do have bagels and bagel sandwiches as well but that was a bit more than I'd planned on eating at this time. I settled on a spiced vanilla latte and cranberry oatmeal cookie. The vanilla spice latte is delish and has a bit of a bite to it with the ginger and spices used. This complimented the cranberry oatmeal cookie perfectly! Atmosphere was cool and staff was so friendly. I had a seasonal drink a coffee with mazapan. My daughter and I were specifically in the mood for a lox bagel. We came here based on pictures instead of another recommendation where the salmon looked cooked on the bagel. In honesty it was okay. I like my lox and bagel open faced, that's how I saw it in the picture, and didn't expect to get it in sandwich form...So I guess if that's the way you like or are used to you need to ask.
