Talking to her was like talking to a girl friend and it was so relaxing. I was super nervous but she made me feel so welcomed. When I got there... mind blown! It's such cute, chic vibe. Very clean and inviting. Bathrooms are clean as well and provide sanitary feminine wipes for your appointment! They offer a "boost of confidence" shot which I thought was so welcoming and eased up any nervousness! It was my very first Brazilian wax ever, and Tailor made it very reassuring for me. I had a great experience with her! If it wasn't for me moving, I would definitely come back here. I love this place, and it set a high standard for future sugar waxing places!

My pedicure was horrible, my three year old granddaughter could have painted my nails better, I can soak my feet at home and slap polish on them, she threw a tantrum when I asked her to trim my nails, and was loud telling me the other lady did it already, NO she cut one nail and moved to another client, which was my daughter...ugh! My manicure was even worse! ( The table was filthy, being the first person to set there it shouldn't have had grit and clipping of nails on it ....She soaked my nails, then painted them , the Acrylic polish was thick and lumpy, at this point I was done, I just wanted to leave, I had 4 other people with me and did want them to have a bad experience( the other two ladies worked on them and one of the ladies was very nice and did a great job ). My Acrylic polish on my nails are already peeling off, not even 24 hours later I need to go have them redone! It's was my Pampering birthday weekend , no house work no dishes and they peeled before my morning shower... If I could give this place a no star rating it would be more than it deserves.

On top of this the owner texted me several times from what I am assuming is her personal phone. Per the policy at this place, you have 24 hours to cancel. I work night shift 12 hours and have limited availability when I can do things. I was going to confirm until this morning I received a text message that seemed desperate to me. For a place I thought was doing well I wouldn't anticipate receiving these texts. I went online and cancelled and her is what I had written back to me. Mind you, this is the owner as well. Betty scolded me and made remarks about my body and stretch marks while I was in my most vulnerable state. She had a Trainee wax me post putting me on the spot and while being waxed, some of the wax had accidentally gotten flicked onto Betty's scrubs. She then used the trainee's hand that had just been waxing me to remove the wax from her scrub to then put the same hand back onto my private area being completely unsanitary. As a licensed esthetician I knew it was unhygienic and as a woman I was in a vulnerable position and mortified. Her after care kit consisted of bath and body works 'warm vanilla sugar' hand sanitizer that she instructed me to use to sanitize my private area. This product should NEVER be used NEAR or ON your private area and especially not on open follicles that can lead to bacteria, infection, and irritation. She also said to use Curel lotion to soothe the area after using hand sanitizer. This kit was a joke and so was her business. I paid full price for an UNLICENSED trainee to wax me while being simultaneously humiliated by this businesses owner.

I called at 12:35, 12:40, and again around 12:45 before someone finally told me the door was open. Each time I spoke with a different person and nobody seemed to know what was going on. When I finally got inside, I was told Alexandra the esthetician I was booked with was still with another client. By then it was almost 1:00 PM, 30 minutes after my scheduled appt. I ended up having to cancel one of my services because I no longer had time. Thankfully Cindy was able to squeeze me in for my brows, which I appreciated, but the esthetician (Alexandra) I was originally scheduled with finished late and then immediately took another client while I had been waiting almost 30 minutes past my appointment time. Taking the client of Cindy who was finished with my services and would've been prepped for her next had she asked the client to wait 1 more minute. For an "upscale" salon, the whole experience felt very disorganized and inconsiderate of my time. Despite a new employee or not there is no excuse for a 30 minute delay, when customers would've been charged a fee if roles were reversed. A discount or some kind of acknowledgment for the delay would have been appreciated, but I still paid full price after everything. I would not recommend. Take your money elsewhere.

Overall, Salon Halo was a disappointing experience for me. I originally reached out to Melissa for…read morea hair color, on 22 January. She did the exact color I was looking for on an acquaintance and they had passed her number along to me. After sending photos of my hair goals, hair inspiration and current hair we set an appointment for 15 February. The morning of the appointment at 0621 she texts to cancel due to illness. I was able to rebook it with her for 5 March, but again on the morning of the appointment she canceled due to lack of childcare. So, after waiting over a month for the appointment I was cancelled twice and did not make a priority to promptly rebook. She offered to talk with a coworker that was available before, which I stated was fine with me. This may have been naïve on my part, but I did assume she would only recommend someone of the same skill level. Cindy promptly reached out after Melissa and I spoke, and offered to book me that same week. I sent the exact photos from Melissa and I's texts to Cindy. My hair goals, hair inspiration and current hair. Which had grown out more while waiting on my appointment for Melissa but manageable. Before my appointment started, and as stated in my text I confirmed I wanted my hair copper/strawberry blonde. The ends of my hair in the photos were my goal, and really, I wanted it to be brought up to my roots. Covering my natural brunette hair. The conversation went well, and there seemed to be comprehension on my color. I could care less about cost, or application to achieve the color. We didn't go into too much detail on that. After she washed the color from my hair, I realized it was a cool blonde, no where close to a warm copper/strawberry blonde. The color also did not go entirely to my roots, and you can see my natural color in places. Cindy stated I was not blonde, "It's the lighting". After some back and forth, she said my hair color wasn't achievable because I had filters on my hair. I directly asked for the color on my ends to be brought up as we spoke in person. There isn't a filter in person, and the current hair photos in our texts had no filter. We stated I wasn't seeing the color correctly and it was what I asked for. I then had to show a photo of my partner and I from that morning, where my color is completely different from the blonde she did. In fact, the blonde matched my partners hair. Only then did she say she could put copper over it and that I wasn't clear on it. Honestly, I felt defeated at this point and agreed if that was our only option, but it still didn't cover my roots or natural color. She said that's normal with foils, they don't go to "The scalp". I was at a loss at this point. The copper she put over the blonde isn't the worst, but it wasn't what I wanted. The haircut was underwhelming. I asked for face framing and layers, even provided photos but it wasn't even close. My bangs and ends were just cut straight across. I didn't go into depth about disappointment with the cut. We had already spent five hours together and the color wasn't going to be savable. She ended up curling my hair, so it wasn't till the next wash that I saw the lack of layers. Thankfully I ended up going to my normal Stylist to fix the cut, but sadly he doesn't do color and was at a loss as well. I found it incredibly unprofessional that I was still charged for the service. I do understand the time and materials, but I'm unhappy with the results. The results are too far off from what I asked for. I wouldn't recommend the salon for any service after this experience.
