My stomach has not been well since I ate at this location last week. The turkey burger tasted a little off (I even looked to make sure it was actually turkey) and assumed that perhaps because I didn't have my normal condiments, it just tasted different without. Even admist the COVID-19 where many restaurants are hurting, the owner went out of his way to make sure we had a safe and pleasant experience at Good Stuff Eatery by cleaning our tables outside and offered water for our dog who was tired after a long walk! Good location. Good burgers. Good fries. Good shakes. 3.5/5 Stars You see where I'm going with this, right? All-in-all, Good Stuff Eatery is as the name implies: good stuff. The service was almost fast-food fast, but you can just tell that the burgers and fries are fresh. I ordered the Good Stuff Melt, fries, and a Toasted Marshmallow shake. The Good Stuff Melt was juicy and delicious. I do enjoy a slice of cheddar cheese on my burgers, and between onions and caramelized onions, the latter always wins. The difference between any other "melt" I've had, and their burger, is that their burger is served on regular hamburger buns as opposed to Texas toast, or whatever type of bread melts usually have. The only downside to their burger (and all of their burgers in general) is that they're fairly small for the price. You would think an $8 would be bigger than, say, a $5 fast-food burger. Unfortunately not. It didn't blow me away, but it was delicious, nonetheless. The fries were cooked too a point where it wasn't too crunchy, yet it wasn't too soft. Near perfect fries, in my book. Taste, on the other hand was maybe like a 7/10. The Toasted Marshmallow shake was delicious. I'm not one to order shakes too often, but I would definitely get this kind again. Hi, this is David Greenberg - "I own Good Stuff Eatery here in Arlington. I wanted to personally write you and apologize that you were disappointed in our Turkey Burger this weekend. I completely understand and appreciate you concerns from looking at the color and would feel the same way just from the appearance but I want to ensure you that the burger you showed in the picture appears to be fully cooked despite the color and looks to be consistent with the thousands and thousands we sell. Please let me explain: The turkey we use for our Turkey burgers is made well over half from thigh meat. Thigh meat provides a lot of flavor and juiciness while remaining a lean healthy option. The one drawback is that thigh meat is red in color and becomes a light pink when cooked. Additionally we fold in a bit of red smoked chipotle pepper and mango chutney for added flavor. Thus when our turkey burgers are fully cooked to a minimum temperature of 165 degrees they still remain pink. We all normally measure the preparedness of our meats and proteins visually first by looking at its coloring and by that standard its easy to see how your burger looks undercooked. We check the temps of our turkey burgers to 165 degrees minimum before serving. I am in the restaurant now and we just cooked a turkey burger to 175 degrees and it was fully cooked well done and still had more of a pinkish hue than the one in your picture. I'm the type of person who believes sauces have the ability to change a dish from just being okay to fantastic. Knowing this fact, my friend messaged me saying "Thomas this place has mango mayonnaise for their fries." So the most logical thing to do was to go there and try it out! Upon arriving to Good Stuff Eatery I noticed that the inside was decorated with a retro theme. It reminded me of a classic diner where one would go to get amazing milk shakes. The menu was a bit overwhelming; they had so many different options to choose from. I ended up getting the Prez Obama Burger (Applewood Bacon, Onion Marmalade, Roquefort Cheese and Horseradish sauce), Small fries, and a regular toasted marshmallow milk shake. I saw the sauce dispenser and proceeded fill each cup with a different sauce to try with my fries. Just as I finished getting all my sauces, the food was ready! At first glance the burger and fries looked kind of small and not quite worth the $18 I paid. All their sauces tasted amazing, despite the fries not being crisp. The fries tasted just as how it looked, which was soggy and super greasy. I tried the milk shake in hopes of washing away the taste of the soggy greasy fries. The milk shake was incredible. When they say it is a toasted marshmallow milkshake they weren't kidding. The first sip of the shake transported me to a time when I toasted marshmallows over an open fire. Every sip of the milkshake had the flavor of toasted marshmallow. The burger was probably one of my top 5 favorite burgers. Even though the burger was a bit on the small side, the flavor was amazing. Most stores are closed at 8pm on Saturday in Crystal City, but the restaurants are open- Good Stuff Eatery being one of them. Good Stuff reflects and defines the name in terms of the quality of burgers, fries, and shakes. Not Shake Shack or In-and-Out quality, but Good Stuff quality. I ordered the Smokehouse Bacon burger with small Village Fries and an Oreo Shake. This is not a sitdown restaurant with waiter server rather order, sit and eat, and clean up yourself, no tip necessary. There is plenty of seating available. The food came out in a to-go bag and after opening the contents I was quite disappointed in the size of the burger, not realizing the bulk of the meat patty. It's a fat piece of meat cooked into a ball more than a patty. No complaints once I took a bite into the meatball with crispy bacon and sizzled onions. The fries, drizzled in generous layers of rosemary, tasted foresty and refreshing unlike anything I have ever tasted. Who would have thought fries could be refreshing? You can add another layer of refreshment by dipping the fries in the Oreo Shake. Take it one step further and dip the bacon burger inside the shake to extract the essense of a bacon shake. 3 Minutes and 15 napkins later the burger was demolished. Good stuff. read more

This is one of our favorite places for a burger in the DC area. We have been here regularly and have taken visiting family and friends here and to their Capitol Hill location, and we have never regretted it. The Obama burger and Michele melt are both quite tasty, and they have vegetarian options. The Village Fries are really good - a generous portion. The mayo dipping sauces are fantastic (mango is my favorite). And the shakes are pretty decadent (try the toasted marshmallow!). The service is consistently good, though you should expect to wait a few minutes for your order to come up - I think this is because they are cooked to order. Another hint - the garage in Crystal City under the restaurant has free parking in the evenings. I brought my mom here to celebrate her birthday. Liza (hope I spelled that correctly) reserved a table for us even though they normally only do that for large parties. I really appreciate her doing that. She also informed me that my mom would get a free milk shake since it was her birthday and that was kind of the cherry on top for our night. Burgers and chocolate shakes are her favorite. We ordered the farmhouse bacon cheeseburger cooked medium well. Absolutely no complaints. That was a delicious and messy burger! We were very pleased with that. We also ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich. I probably won't order that again. It was cooked well, but I thought the chicken could have been seasoned a little better. I made up for this with the Chipotle and Sriracha sauce. We shared a small fry-- delicious! This review is aimed at healthy eaters, as we all ordered healthy options off the menu. my boss and I stopped here during work, arrived at 12:15 and the line was moderate but by 12:30 the place was packed. The cashiers did a good job of taking orders quickly so the wait wasn't bad at all. I ordered the turkey burger- definitely a tasty, well-seasoned patty. It came with a tomato, avocado, and Muenster cheese. I think they need to add red onion to add a freshness and crispness. Possibly a piece of lettuce. Overall the texture was soft. I also was not a fan of the whole wheat bun, it was very dry, which doesn't pair well with a turkey burger because a turkey burger is a dry patty. It definitely needs a soft bun. My boss had the Farmhouse salad. It had a poor ratio of toppings, the salad was 95% iceberg lettuce, needed more veggies, more ummff. The chicken was a good portion, but was sliced in large pieces so it didn't distribute through the lettuce. Also- the salad was difficult to eat because it came in the to-go container, which was very deep and not very wide- therefore it was difficult to mix the toppings and eat without salad spilling. So I had come back 2 times since, The first time I saw that they had listen to the review and had the right size condiment cups toppers with the lids. The staff has always been nice so that was no different very accommodating I got my food and the fries were good the burger was still a little dry for me to be honest. So I thought maybe the next time I would just ask the cashier can I request how I want my burger done(rare, medium, well done etc). So the last time I came I did exactly that and she was like yes we can I wished I had asked this The first time I had ever came but that's just not something I would normally ask in a fast food environment only when I'm sitting down in a restaurant.
