So I started drafting this review a while ago, after the first time I tried it late last August, got distracted and forgot about it. Since then I've ordered from here four more times. Sometimes with a friend, so I got to try more than what I would have ordered. When you're settling in to a new place, too tired to cook, or want a treat day, Chinese is usually a good affordable option. However, despite having been unimpressed on multiple occasions, I tried different things, some literally threw away, until I tried the #77 beef with garlic. It's not the best I've ever had, but the best thing here so far. The #11 steamed dumplings have thicker dough than I prefer, but they are good and the dippy sauce is on point. However, there have been some not so great experiences being a customer here. If you don't receive what you ordered/wrong dish, take a pic and contact them. Their delivery correctness has greatly improved since/during COVID- so has the quality of orders and ratio of meat to veggies, though prices have increased again. More than what I paid EVER in Los Angeles, but it is what it is. They are the only place I have ordered from during the pandemic. Bonus: their take out containers are totally reusable. Online orders from their site cost more than calling for delivery. Delivery minimum and fee are also less if you call direct. Delivery fee is NOT a tip for the delivery person so be kind. It's contactless delivery, so if not paying cash, add tip to your cc order on the phone. Previously free items based on spending only available if you pay cash on delivery. read more

Shredded beef - asked for extra spicy, there was barely any flavor Shrimp and snow peas - meh General Tso's tofu - I usually don't order tofu but something was calling me to do it. And this was actually the best thing we ordered. Decent flavors, would order again 6 piece wings and fries - good but they forgot to include the mambo sauce. I was so upset. Out shopping, feeling peckish, couldn't resist the name ;-) Pretty much your standard Chinese + subs + fried stuff store, with a counter and some tables. Clean, friendly service. No fountain, just can and bottled beverages. Moo Goo Gai Pan was a generous serving for $6, lots of tender chicken, no steenking broccoli. But canned mushrooms, a bit too much celery to go with the bok choi, bamboo shoot, snow peas, and water chesnuts, and very timid seasoning keep it down to three stars. read more

I went in today to place an order and usually the common sense rule is to take care of the line in front of you. but no, the dingbat preferred to make the phonecalls a priority and keep people waiting. THIEF. After waiting an hour and twenty minutes I called to find out where my order was. The lovely young lady on the other end was kind enough to check with the driver. Next thing I know a man who I can only assume is the owner comes on the phone and starts accusing ME of giving him a wrong stress and then raising his voice to me that he delivered my food that I've paid for to someone else! He accused me of giving him the wrong address and grew so hostile on the phone that I knew any sort of refund was off the table. BUYER BEWARE! I have eaten here many times; however, I won't eat here again. The food is generally ok so not the issue. The daughter (who usually takes the orders) has a bad attitude and is known to be abrupt and rude with customers. At times, she ignores them altogether. Found a deep fried cockroach in my wings and fries combo. When I told the lady manager (owner) she started speaking loudly and what I can imagine cursing in Chinese. She didn't refund my money or offer to get me another dish. Just flat out rude. They don't change out their oil often I guess. The customer service is considerably bad, weird smell a few times I've walked in, and if you're expecting a refund for a food item you never asked for or simply do not want, think again. This place is also notorious for incorrect orders so if you decide to eat here, be sure to check your order prior to leaving the restaurant. I ordered Chow Mein and received a very bizarre looking dish that didn't even include any noodles! Their menu should specify this deviation from Chow Mein dishes that are typically served at similar restaurants. I really like this place. It's been our go to for carry out type fare as of late. The neighboring spots like Kenny's, Goody's and Danny's have all gone down hill. When we've wanted good Chinese, we've had to ventured to DC, but I digress. This place is nice and clean. Not great for dining in, but you could. What impresses me most is that every time we've ordered over the freebie threshold, the said freebie comes with the order-no coupon ever is required. I've gotten the free soda, free chicken fried rice and free general tso's without ever asking or using a coupon; take out places don't do that anymore, especially without you giving them a coupon. I was running errands in the area and discovered this place. I've only gotten food there once, but the egg drop soup was AMAZING. I also got beef with peapods, very good and lots of vegetables but just like every other place. The egg drop soup though--perfect. Flavorful but not too salty, lots of eggs, lots of chicken flavor, you couldn't do better in a high end Chinese restaurant. Comes with what are probably homemade wanton noodles--unfortunately I'm keeping passover so they will have to wait for another day. The fried rice had a beautiful yellow color to it, but tasted very bland. Four stars is technically accurate, but compared to the other Chinese food delivery places within range of my address, this place definitely deserves five stars. The food isn't the best I've ever had, but it's well-prepared, tasty enough, not excessively greasy or salty, the meat isn't full of gristle, and it's far better than others in the area and at a fair price. I judge a Chinese restaurant by the hot and sour soup. Good Jerry's is amazing because it tastes great, you can choose one of three spiciness levels, and it doesn't have any of that disgusting thickening agent that other places use. Minor complaints: the aforementioned soup was skimpy on the tofu and wood-ear mushroom, and the steamed dumplings could have used more filling and less dough. They have an online ordering system (this is seriously the greatest invention ever, why don't more places have it?) which is functional and easy to use. I've ordered delivery twice on weekdays and it took just a few minutes longer than I thought it should, but not excessively. (I live on a non-contiguous road and almost half the competition's drivers get lost and have to call me for real-time directions, at which point my food is already cold and an hour late. Good Jerry's hasn't done that yet.) The real test will be on a weekend night. I really hope this place sticks around for a while without going downhill too fast.
