Peanuts in a person with severe peanut allergy food

They just put peanuts in my wife's fuckin food!!!!!after being told about her severe peanut allergy. I call back after having to jab my wife with her eppy and notifying them about their mistakes only to be screamed at in an inaudible form off bad language. Legal action is on the way!!!!

Fried shrimp with hair anyone ?
Jimmy B.

By far the worse keep finding stuff in my food no more Hunan China for me smh photo even shows you a hair attached to my fried shrimp no way I could put that in there

Eat/drink from here if you love roaches!!
Alexis W.

the food is ok and all don't get me wrong, but nothing is a bigger throw off than finding a roach floating at the bottom of the half and half you very much enjoyed. I went back to express my disgust and these mf's told me I PUT THE ROACH IN THE TEA!!! They are trifling and I recommend that no one eats/drinks from that place. Gave me another reason not to trust carryouts smh

a box of rice and shrimp

This place not only lacks customer service I have now discovered a dead cock roach inside of my food. I asked for my money back they told me no and decided to make me a new batch of fried rice. This is disgusting, thinking about calling OSHA

I've grabbed sushi from here a handful of times, but I've never actually dined in. It's right…read morearound the corner, so it's super convenient! It's apart of the same complex where my realtor is, go figure... you wouldn't think to find a restaurant there, but expect the unexpected! I have had an obsession with kompyo sushi lately. It's squash, and it's so sweet and tasty in a roll! I'm not vegetarian, but I never tire of avocado and sweet potato rolls either. Their shrimp shumai was delicious too! I have been told to try the peking duck, so I have that and a lot more on my list to try in the near future. Oh, prices and prep time are pretty reasonable too. Looking forward to more visits soon!

We've had many meals inside of this lovely restaurant with great architecture. Now it's only carry-out. They do a steady flow of takeout orders, here. Neighbors love it because they stay busy. We ordered a whole list of standard Chinese-American fare items here and everything was pretty normal except one spectacular entree: the Crispy Beef! Ok, this is not the 'refined' crispy beef that you'd find in more luxurious areas. Wait. Is crispy beef even refined?! Well, I've had crispy beef strips that are thin-cut with a crunchy, fried coating and a savoury, complex red sauce that is slightly sweet but more unami. That's about as refined as I've had it. But at East Pearl Asian Bistro, the crispy beef is like your most fun option at a carnival. It's deliciously-sweet with a thick fried coating. It really is like eating a plate of fun and I love it. The East Pearl Asian Bistro Crispy Beef is definitely good mood food and a choice that might make you smile. Also, the carry-out service, however busy, was excellent.

Found this place after walking around UMD and looking for a local spot to eat. Saw the reviews…read morehere and went with my mother. I will admit I was skeptical when I drove up to park in another hellish mixed use development. It screamed chain and average from the outside, inside...well I was wrong. Nice decor although with a lot of QR codes scaring me (after wrestling for 8 minutes with QR code parking in back) that I might have to order that way too. Again not. We were immediately seated, super friendly server, the menu was super exciting. Authentic Szechuan dishes and some American Chinese, I wanted a lot! Had some great crab/pork soup dumplings, terrific garlic sauce eggplant, and a standout recommended ghost pepper spicy beef dish with celery, snow pea, peppers. Mom got a shrimp lo me-in. A lot of food brought home. Similar with the couple next to us. Hot pots on the menu, whole fish, so much to try. Flavors great, but especially nice service that made a place that felt like a QR card laden chain a lot more like a homey cozy place.

Ordered takeaway- the vegetable spicy hot pot with bean curd sheets, lotus root, woodear mushrooms,…read moreseaweed, bak choy, and green beans, and the beef shank appetizer. Total came out to approximately $42. What's hot - Menu. Pretty good variety! There's something for everyone, even vegans. There's meat, veggies, tofu, seafood, dumplings, noodles (to include noodle soups), and rice dishes. For example, there's a good variety of the different types of tofu, like bean curd sheet, fried tofu, and regular tofu. There's a good variety of veggies, as well, such as bak chow, egg plant, lotus root, woodear mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, etc... - Quality. Very good, with the exception of the spice level, which is addressed below. Both dishes were well-seasoned and not too salty. There are a good amount of spices involved and more than the standard Chinese spices. The beef in the appetizer was tender, thinly sliced, and also came with a good amount of thinly sliced cucumbers and green scallions. All the veggies, with the exception of the green beans (which were a bit on the raw side) in the hot pot dish were tender, as well. For an ethnic Chinese restaurant, my opinion is this place is legit. - Location. Conveniently located in a plaza with other restaurants and shops. It's pretty easy to find, as well. - Layout. Their layout is pretty good, but their tables do not appear to accommodate groups of more than 4-6. They might be able to push together some tables together, though. - Price. Given the portions and quality for ethnic Chinese food, it's reasonable and good value for money. - Service. I arrived a few minutes after I was originally told my order would be ready. My takeaway order was packed and ready when I arrived. The hot pot dish I ordered comes with rice, which was enough for 2 people. The food was also well packed- no leaking and the takeaway containers did not fall apart. Their staff appear to speak both English and Mandarin, as well. What's not - Spice level. For the hot pot dish, I ordered the normal spice level. However, the hot pot dish in combination with the the beef shank appetizer was a bit too much. I could definitely feel my tongue tingling midway through the dishes. I have a pretty good tolerance for spice, so that I could feel my tongue tingling means something. However, that this was the normal spice level for the hot pot and the appetizer dish was too much. My point is to be prepared. - Parking. There is a small parking lot in the complex, but it can be tight. Street parking is dependent on the day and time you go. This neighborhood is a bit dense, so parking is not the easiest to find. Final Answer Would like to return and am less inclined to order anything spicy.

Service is always friendly and fast, and the food is packed with flavor you don't often find elsewhere Konjac Noodle Salad - Sour vinegar flavor with a nice kick. I loved the little konjac noodle bundles -- super bouncy and great at picking up the sauce. It's a perfect summer appetizer: refreshing with crisp veggies like cucumber and carrot but doesn't hold back on flavor. 3.5/5 Sour Soup Dumpling - Delicate skins with a savory pork broth that leans more comforting than sour. The filling falls apart as you bite into it and tastes like a mix of pork and vegetables. Simple, clean flavors 3/5 Spicy Beef Noodle Soup - My favorite dish so far! The broth is beefy, spicy, and rich with depth -- layered flavors that feel satisfying but not overwhelming. The meat was flavorful and chewy with fatty pieces that melt in your mouth. Loved the chewy, knife-cut-style noodles that soak up the broth, and the pickled veggies plus fresh cilantro kept it light and bright. 4.25/5 Cold Rice Noodle with Spicy Fried Chicken - Super sour but well-rounded -- flavorful without being sharp. I usually don't love rice noodles, but these were soft, bouncy, and satisfying. Surprisingly, the fried chicken stayed a bit crisp even in the broth. It's fried in a way that's drier and chewier, but that concentrated the flavor instead of making it actually taste dry. Great summer noodle dish 4/5 Signature Fruit Tea - Definitely on the syrupy side, which I expected, but still decent. Lots of blended fruit flavors -- sweet, slightly artificial, but enjoyable if you're in the mood for something fruity 2.5/5

We have been familiar with the area for years, as my father-in-law lived 3 minutes away, and recently we realized this was his go-to carryout. After 3 visits, I can say it's one of the best in the DMV, thanks to its flavor and food choices. You will find Japanese options like sushi, American-Chinese dishes like orange chicken, similar dishes, and Cantonese food like roast duck, Hong Kong-style noodle soups, and whole fish. They are family-owned and operated. Every time we come, the elder father is always gracious and provides excellent service. The restaurant is always quiet; you can hear conversations in the back, and as customers arrive to pick up their orders, we haven't witnessed any negative interactions. Customers are always happy with their food, and the staff say thank you. The only negative is the space. The building itself is older and outdated. In the summer, it is hot, and now in the winter, there is no heat. They have found ways to make it work, like space heaters on each table, but it can still get uncomfortable if you are dining in. The back area near the bathroom and the bathroom itself need a thorough cleaning. To me, it's a turnoff; it doesn't affect the food, but it does affect the dine-in experience. Again, overall, I love their food and believe it's a local gem worth a try.

I ordered the shrimp and broccoli combo, which came with an egg drop soup and a shrimp roll. Sadly, none of it was edible for me and I ended up having to throw the entire meal away. The rice was undercooked and completely lacked flavor. The shrimp and broccoli itself had an unusual color, a sticky consistency, and a sauce with a taste I have never experienced with Chinese food before. The egg drop soup and shrimp roll were also extremely bland. The interior of the restaurant is also very dated. While the customer service and hospitality were great, the food quality just was not there for me.
