Service is always friendly and fast, and the food is packed with flavor you don't often find elsewhere Konjac Noodle Salad - Sour vinegar flavor with a nice kick. I loved the little konjac noodle bundles -- super bouncy and great at picking up the sauce. It's a perfect summer appetizer: refreshing with crisp veggies like cucumber and carrot but doesn't hold back on flavor. 3.5/5 Sour Soup Dumpling - Delicate skins with a savory pork broth that leans more comforting than sour. The filling falls apart as you bite into it and tastes like a mix of pork and vegetables. Simple, clean flavors 3/5 Spicy Beef Noodle Soup - My favorite dish so far! The broth is beefy, spicy, and rich with depth -- layered flavors that feel satisfying but not overwhelming. The meat was flavorful and chewy with fatty pieces that melt in your mouth. Loved the chewy, knife-cut-style noodles that soak up the broth, and the pickled veggies plus fresh cilantro kept it light and bright. 4.25/5 Cold Rice Noodle with Spicy Fried Chicken - Super sour but well-rounded -- flavorful without being sharp. I usually don't love rice noodles, but these were soft, bouncy, and satisfying. Surprisingly, the fried chicken stayed a bit crisp even in the broth. It's fried in a way that's drier and chewier, but that concentrated the flavor instead of making it actually taste dry. Great summer noodle dish 4/5 Signature Fruit Tea - Definitely on the syrupy side, which I expected, but still decent. Lots of blended fruit flavors -- sweet, slightly artificial, but enjoyable if you're in the mood for something fruity 2.5/5

But I made the mistake to order the Sichuan shrimp, it was totally disappointing and the shrimp were soft and chewy tasteless as opposed to succulent and firm. Of generations literally!!.. my grandma would come here and the seafood spot they used to have next door! for fresh shrimp crabs fish. When she got grandkids all the oldest ones would pile up in her huge truck and head to the seafood spot for crabs and all six of us would go to the carryout for egg rolls then zoom down to the rolling pin bakery for sweets!! ..My uncles and their friends would come here just for Wings and fries and grab beers from the liquor store. The wings are always a Hit never a Miss no matter who cooks them!! they don't taste like any other honey bbq wings they don't look like KFC honey bbq color either!! But the taste is amazing and you don't have to ask for extra sauce like other places!!.. they sauce these wings Down!!! its 6/8/10 wingettes.. my uncle and I when we have lunch here we get ten!! And it's not the small shrinking wingettes these are jumbo!! but not steroids jumbo they're just right!!.. customer service is cool!! Ambiance isn't one fr and that's to be expected with where they are! But you can never go wrong with anything you get here'. Stopped here because of the ratings and the cleanliness ratings on Yelp. I met a few Neighborhood patrons. I love DC. I love the culture. I used to live in DC but it seems as though my Texas accent is making me stick out like a sore thumb but the DMV is home. So many regulars come in and you know that it has to be a good little spot. We got the cheese steak, it came with American cheese not the white cheese... we got the beef and broccoli and also the orange chicken. I wouldn't give it 5 stars but definitely worthy of 4 stars. Customer service was great even though he had so many customers in and out who had called in orders. There are lots of carry outs off of this street so I'll know soon which is best!

The shrimp fried rice had more than enough rice -One eighth of the container contained a few shrimp the remaining 7/8ths of the container fried rice. The rice had plenty of brown color, lacked flavor, onions and eggs. The pepper steak had plenty of onions and gravy, very little peppers and steak. One had to search for the steak in the sea of gravy and onions. In general, both shrimp fried rice and peppered steak were very skimpy with respect to the main ingredients-shrimp and steak. The wait for the order was the best take away. The carry out needs a face lift to make it more inviting. The Carryout is along a strip of other small food business and vacant storefront buildings. The kicker is the business does not take credit cards- accepts cash only. What a bummer! The food is so bad the business only accepts cash.
