I contacted Good Guys Installs after reading a review on Yelp. I was looking for help with installing two flat TVs up on the wall. I wanted the work done quickly. One of the TVs was to be mounted above our fireplace which is surrounded by white wood paneling. The work cutting through the wood paneling was awesome. You can't even tell that they cut through the paneling to allow them to feed the cables from behind the TV to the new outlet they installed. I was very impressed with the work and have to give kudos to Chris who did a fantastic job with the entire installation. His attention to detail is great. I also liked that he explained everything to me before doing it. Lisa in the front office was fantastic too as she responded very quickly to my email request for service and in scheduling the install for the perfect time in my busy schedule. I had cameras installed over a year ago I understand they are not under warranty I paid a decent amount for the install and was happy with how they worked etc. problem is now only 1 of my cameras works and I have called numerous times and was promised even though they are busy they would call back with an appointment for me two weeks ago too the day I have not been responded too not sure if number is changed I have called numerous times and no answer. All I am requesting is a service appointment and willing to pay for whatever needs to be done but apparently that is too much to ask for. read more

Writing my very first Yelp review because I feel obligated to tell others about the extremely poor experience I had with GOOD GUYS INSTALLS.... ....Here's a copy of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) complaint I have pending... No response from the GOOD GUYS INSTALLS as of 3/27/2014 CCTV cameras were not wired correctly to the DVR. Thus, we get a "no video" message on all 8 cameras. Good Guys Installs fails to fulfill contract. CCTV cameras were never wired correctly to the DVR, hence we are getting "no video" message on all 8 cameras. Good Guys Installs has failed to send a technician to correct and resolve the issue. Originally, the Good Guys Installs claimed the issue was a "networking issue" within our home, basically, that there was something in our home network that was preventing the system from working correctly, and that we would have to figure that out. So, to see if Good Guys Installs was right, I contracted NUMA Networks in Orange, CA, specializing in business computer networking applications to come out and troubleshoot the supposed "networking issues" that Good Guys Installs said were causing all our camera issues. It turns out that according to NUMA Networks invoice detail I paid, the problem originated with the Good Guys Installs technician. Based on the IP configuration NUMA Networks saw, the Good Guys Installs technician obviously did not have the technical knowledge or expertise to program the CCTV system that his company had sent him out to install and program. NUMA Networks was able to reprogram the modem, router, and DVR so that they all communicate with each other as they should. However, NUMA Networks does not have the expertise to correct the wiring issues related to the 8 cameras and the DVR. After repeated attempts--(I have all email correspondence saved)--to get Good Guys Installs to come back out and correct the wiring problems related to the system which is causing us to receive a "NO VIDEO" message on all 8 cameras they installed, but they have chosen to simply ignore contact with us. The system was installed back in May 2013, but just days after the install the cameras went down, and since then they have never been up for more than 1 week before displaying again the "NO VIDEO" feed message. I have all email correspondence from May 2013 to now, which details how poorly the response has been from Good Guys Installs despite our patience with them after all this time. The cost of the system in total was $3,214.28 and has been paid in full. In January I suggested via email that due to all of the issues with system configuration that Good Guys Installs issue us a refund for at least the cost of the DVR ($650 USD) and we then could just call it quits and part ways due to their lack of interest in correcting this issue with camera configuration. As with many other contact attempts I have made, they simply didn't respond. Please contact me, I can provide you with my folder of all saved correspondences from pre-install to now, a copy of the invoice I paid, the receipt of payment, as well as other information such as a copy of the invoice from NUMA Networks showing the deficiency of Good Guys Installs. What I want from the GOOD GUYS INSTALLS: I would like them to come out and fix the problems we are having, or provide us with at least a refund for the DVR. I will then contract try and find someone else to contract to wire the cameras correctly to the DVR. I already spent $458.34 contracting NUMA Networks to come out and properly configure the Modem, Router, and DVR IP addresses so that each device could communicate with each other....something Good Guys Installs was apparently not capable of doing. read more

Great work and great customer service! I used these guys for the relatively small job of mounting all of my flat screen TVs to the wall and hiding the cords in the wall. They cost of this was so low that I was almost a little worried to have them do this work for me but every tv in every room looks perfect and the guys who work there are so quick and so good at what they do. It amazed me! If you think you can't afford to have your wires hidden into your wall, then your wrong these guys can do it for so cheap and it looks so tacky to have all those wires hanging down from your tv. Trust me your house will look so much more classy and you will be thrilled! It's worth it. Thanks guys! read more

I was referred by a friend from work, which had two flatscreens installed. I gave them a call to arrange an appointment and a quote. Considering it was during the holiidays, they managed to arrange an appt rather quick. The installers took less than 1hr to install my flatscreen and the component shelf. Im very satisfied with the install. There was a small confusion on the invoice, they charged me for an HDMI cable which i had supplied the installers. Worst customer service I have ever experience. You really do get what you pay for with these guys. First impression was positive and their pricing was VERY competitive. However, resolving issues that take place after the camera system is installed is IMPOSSIBLE. Once they get their money, the customer service is nonexistent. Excellent job installing my tv--they showed up on time and worked efficiently and quickly. There was a gas line that they had to work around which took some extra consideration but they got it done. This was one of the best calls I've made in a long time. I found Good Guy Install on Facebook and I made a call to them approximately a week ago. When speaking to the staff they were very courteous, and as our conversation went on the person I spoke with by the name of Lisa inquired what type of business that I needed the installation done for, and when I told her that it was call Creative Destinations of Life Foundation which is a Non-profit Organization located in the city of Bellflower. She then asked what type of business that we conduct and once she receive more information she offered to do installation Free of charge, if approved by her boss as a good deed. My appointment was scheduled approximately a week later and the installation guys were on time very courteous, very helpful, and install my TV without a problem. I truly believe that I will recommend them to other businesses other residents and I will also be using them again in the future for my own personal use. All I can say is AMAZING Service and a WONDERFUL Experience! We had a house fire in January which has been very stressful and finally moved back home this past weekend. Needless to say we have had some really bad experiences with our Contractors and other things connected to rebuilding our home. The time had come to purchase T.V.'s and installation so we did some research and the best we found was about 280.00 per room which did not include the mounting system. We figured that was to much and decided to purchase the mounting and find our own installers. Finding Good Guys Installation Company was the best decision ever! Chris was knowledgeable,friendly and most important HONEST! He gave us suggestions and allowed us to make the decision (pressure free) which saved us over 600.00 and had everything in the truck needed for the install. They cleaned each room after the installation and moved the furniture back without even being asked. What more could you ask for???? They have a customer for life and will be using them when its time to install our surround sound. The T.V.s look FANTASTIC mounted on the walls!!!!!! Chris mounted two of our tvs and did an amazing job. He was very informative and checked with us with every step to make sure we approved of both installations. He knew exactly what he was doing, and knew the difference between each tv and cable and explained all our options offering advice and not up selling us, but also did offer upgraded options if we chose it.
