He seemed to be very knowledgeable and know what he was doing. During the project, I showed it to a couple of contractors I know and they said it looked like he was doing a very professional job. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is because the project dragged on for 10 months. One of the issues was that each time there was an inspection, a different inspector showed up and wanted changes from what the previous inspector had okayed. That seems to be part of doing business in Los Angeles and I don't hold Alex responsible because he was quick to make each change an inspector wanted. But there were also long periods of time when nothing was being done, perhaps because they were working on a different project. Would I use the company again? If it were a smaller project that didn't take as long, absolutely! Without a doubt! The work quality was excellent, communication on issues was excellent and Alex was easy to work with. His quote came in right around where we expected for the scope of work. Carlos, Jesse, and the rest of their crew were great to work with. They respected our home, kept things clean, consistently used drop cloths, even vacuuming here and there to keep any mess at bay. They fished the vast majority of the new wires so well we had almost no holes to patch after all was said and done -- and any that did exist they also did rough patchwork that was easy for me to sand/texture/finish on my own afterward. Surgical precision that we weren't quite expecting but definitely appreciated. The scope of work was pretty large so a few small details temporarily fell through the cracks along the way (as they do), but Carlos checked in with us every morning to make sure he stayed aware of anything that was previously overlooked and/or any thoughts or tweaks we might want to express. When I called, it turns out he refused to give me an invoice because he thinks I am going to commit fraud all because I asked him the day that he was here if he is licensed bonded and insured which is a normal question to ask of a contractor. He accused me of trying to commit fraud when he was the one who spent two hours here and couldn't even figure what the problem is all the time saying that he had to leave to buy his mom lunch.
