A very hidden rooftop bar in a boutique hotel. Came with friends visiting on a Friday evening and decided to check out this spot. Not sure if this is a gay bar, but the vibe felt that way. Never-the-less, we made the most of our time here and got a round of drinks, which were well made. We were able to get an entire outdoor section to ourselves to soak in the skyline and cool weather. Attended my niece's birthday party here last week and thought it was great. The rooftop's a bit small but has a really nice vibe and, after all, a party on a rooftop in Manhattan is all about vibe and Good Behavior has that in abundance. Drinks were good, food meh but again, vibe. Depending upon the night your party might not be the only one since the place is split into two sides, both blending into the other. Seating is comfortable inside and out and it was surprisingly warm. The space is on the small side and can hold about 40-50 comfortably. If you're looking to do an informal party and want a low key cool place, I highly recommend visiting Good Behavior. read more

Definitely an underrated spot in the city. First, I love how Good Behavior is part of a hotel. If I was visiting NYC and wanted to have a drink, it is super accessible. The layout of the rooftop is nice with reserved seating and great views. It doesn't feel overwhelming like other rooftop bars that I know and the feeling is more so that of a cocktail bar than a rowdy rooftop bar. The drink options were plentiful - from hard alcohol to beers to mocktails, plenty to choose from. We also decided to order some food from the menu - from the cheese board, calamari, and fried chicken sandwich. The food came out pretty quick and the flavor was pretty decent. The portions were decent sized and definitely more finger food. Only downside is the hotel entrance isn't the most noticeable but if you can find it, it's definitely worth checking out! read more

Awesome rooftop Bar in NYC! First time visiting and this was one of the few places that were open at 7pm so we could be out during the sunset. Tip: use the glass door on the right. DON'T be fooled by the door on the left because that is locked for MADE hotel guests LOL. We were those fools and thought the place needed a secret password but thankfully figured it out. You need to take the elevator to the top floor (I believe it was 18) and you'll step out into the bar immediately. It was pretty empty at this time so that was great for getting good seating and enjoying the city views! For drinks ($18), we ordered the - after hours. It's a strong whiskey sour I'll say. Great for bourbon lovers! - okilly dokilly. I'm a sucker for midori but they use Japanese whiskey Toki so it was too strong for me. It had a smokey taste that I wasn't in to. I won't take any stars off for the drinks bc I have a different (more basic) flavor profile for liqueur. The place is smaller and not meant for getting rowdy. Though there was a big group of people coming in from a crypto meet up. People definitely enjoy this place and I would totally recommend this to anyone who wants to add another rooftop bar to their list! read more

Went here for a 30th birthday and it was perfect! Small and intimate. Perfect spot to rent out for a birthday. Loved the decor!! It was too cold to be outside on the rooftop but it would be nice in the summer. The drinks and service were great! Only complaint was that the floor and cups were sticky and the hotel is actually kind of hard to find. There are barely any signs on the street and it's tucked in a little bit. read more

Totally cute, aesthetically pleasing bar! I've been eyeing this place for a while and finally got to visit on a last minute whim. It was a lot smaller than I'd imagined but definitely not too small or cramped. It has an outdoor space but it was a bit cold the night my friend and I visited. But still so beautiful and cute. Lots of greenery and disco balls as decor can never go wrong. The bartender was extremely approachable and charming! Recommended all kinds of drinks and even told us he came up with the whole menu himself! Pretty cool. A really lovely rooftop bar in midtown/Flatiron area that doesn't get insanely crazy like other bars in the area. The aesthetic is dim and comfortable and beautifully decorated. Cocktails are flashy, a bit expensive, but pretty standard for NYC. There is also a bar in the lobby of the hotel that has ample open sitting space. Inside the MADE hotel, it's a mid-size rooftop bar with a few indoor and outdoor seatings that are more suited for large groups, which is fine if you're okay with sharing a sofa with other couples/parties. Came here on a Friday night, and luckily the place was half empty. The frozen drink Coco Loco Bae was exactly what I needed on a hot summer night. The Rabbit Food was also an interesting cocktail that tasted smokey and healthy at the same time. Very laidback and unpretentious vibes. There was only one guy working that night, mainly as the bartender, so service was almost nonexistent, but we didn't mind as it gave us lots of uninterrupted time. read more

Seriously though, when someone tells me to "go with the flow" I still feel that I need parameters on how the flow could potentially be going. But occasionally, plans change. So on Saturday night, when we had plans to go to another bar in the area, plans changed due to factors not worth mentioning in this review, and I met up with friends at Good Behavior. I hadn't heard of it prior to going but shocking news: it was a pleasant experience and one that I didn't carefully curate myself. We were there with a decently-sized group of folks and we had a fun and lively but still relatively low key night. We came here around 10:15pm on a Friday night. Our friends were here first and we met them inside. I love a good rooftop bar, but so many of them are either too packed or too expensive. Good Behavior was neither. I virtually never go out in midtown because it's midtown, and I would never think a midtown rooftop would be fun, but clearly I was wrong. Unlike a bunch of the other rooftop bars I've been to, Good Behavior is on the smaller side. I'm not sure if it's because it's on the newer side or for some other reason, but it wasn't too busy when we were there and we had plenty of room to spread out (we started indoors but eventually moved outdoors as our party size grew and had no trouble finding seating). The cocktails here are solid! I started with the Aww Bell No (rums, bell pepper syrup, tamarind, cherry brandy, lemon juice, pineapple liqueur) which was sweet and savory, one of my favorite flavor profiles for a drink. And then in typical fashion, I switched to dirty martinis for the rest of the night and was content. We had gone out to dinner beforehand at a restaurant that was allegedly fancy but when I ordered a dirty martini they gave me the cleanest and crispest one around, so I was happy to get properly filthy ones here. This is a very nice looking bar with a nice view and a bunch of hanging plants. It actually inspires me to give plants another try, in hopes of not killing them again. It was a warm, muggy day and the rain was just letting up outside. We were lucky to have a couple of drinks while enjoying a light breeze and watching the sun start to set in the horizon. Weather must be a critical factor since the space is rather exposed to all the elements. It is not very spacious, so this bar would fare better as a low key spot for hotel guests to have a quick drink and be on their way. On a less busy day, and preferably when it is not raining, this is a great place to relax and watch the world go by for a while. read more

I was so happy with this visit! We had been in NY for a week, and just wanted a relaxing dusk time drink on a rooftop near our hotel after running around for days. I was concerned this meant horrible crowds and loud music on an unseasonably warm evening. I was wrong! This place is SO welcoming! It's small, but the layout is so great, it doesn't feel crowded (even though all of the tables were taken). We had seats under the roof, but facing the balcony, and it was so great! The interior is packed with greenery, so we were in our own little tropical oasis! The bartender was doing double duty as waiter too, and he was SO kind and friendly! Just excellent service even though he was doing it all himself. I can't recommend this place enough! read more

Find this medium-sized rooftop bar by entering through the lobby of the MADE Hotel and taking the elevator up. This is definitely is less-trafficked rooftop destination with prices that are more reasonable than other NYC cocktail bars ($17 per craft cocktail). In addition, there are parts of the outdoor area which offer partial views of the Empire State Building. Seating outside are plush couches/ chairs which could be a problem with on-and-off precipitation throughout the day. Thankfully, there are a number of indoor tables available. Their main cocktail menu seems small initially with the 7 offerings, but it possessed some balance in style and taste. In addition, they have mocktails, some beer, wine, and a few bar snacks. Cocktail menu does rotate so I imagine they do so to encourage patrons to return. Very laidback, easy to access, possessing city light views and unpretentious which checks all the right boxes in my vibes checklist. read more

I came here with my sister around 11pm after a comedy show, and it was such a perfect place to close out the night! It was my second time visiting, and this time the bar was much quieter (which I appreciate), yet there were a few other groups chatting / drinking here as well. I love enjoying the view here at night, and appreciate that the bar is pretty small so it feels more low-key. The seating areas were all clean and comfy too. Talk about Terrible Behavior. I made a reservation for 3 through Resy. At the time of booking, the fine print read, "Reservations not confirmed by guest within 12 hours of seating time will be cancelled and incur a cancellation fee." There was also a required $40pp spend if seated through a reservation. The day prior to my reservation I asked to confirm my reservation, and did so. Come day of my reservation, there were heavy rains predicted for that evening. At 11AM, I looked at Resy to cancel my booking. There was fine print that read "Cancelling this reservation may trigger a fee of $25.00 per guest". Because they used the word "may", I called Good Behavior (via the number listed on Resy), and was told that I had reached the Made Hotel front desk, and that they did not have insight into the Good Behavior reservations. I then contacted Resy through email, and got the same wishy washy response that I *may* be charged. I ended up cancelling my booking anyway due to the poor weather conditions. 3 days after, I was hit with a $75 cancellation fee. I finally read buried in the Made Hotel website, that Good Behavior is managed by the restaurant inside the Made Hotel, Debajo. I emailed them and was told that, "Our cancellation policy is clearly stated at the time of booking.  Due to covid and limited seating indoors for reservations, cancellations within 24 hours are charged a cancellation fee, regardless of the reason for cancellation." No, your cancellation fee was NOT clearly stated at the time of booking. The fact that your Resy page does not even have the correct phone number for the bar is also a terrible cop-out. Look, if this was summer of 2020, I would understand the covid excuse. However, it's now July 2021 and NYC bars are packed every night. Charging a cancellation fee when I cancelled 9 hours in advance is a pure money grab. This is not a prefix dining establishment, and customers should have the right to cancel under poor weather conditions. To summarize, this is a bar that treats customers as open wallets. I emailed them back, trying to find an amicable resolution: "I understand and sympathize with restaurants and bars during this time, but I would like to believe that patrons have the right to cancel for reasonable cause, like cases of extreme weather conditions. Would you instead be willing to offer me $75 of credit towards the bar, instead of an outright fee? My friends and I have been patrons of the Made Hotel for years, and would love to visit Good Behavior at a future date." No surprise, they haven't responded. Stay away and save your money for the myriad of other great bars in the area. read more

For $18 premade drinks there is a lot of ice and that's a company policy not a bartender flaw. I watched other drinks being made and even ones without ice were never filled properly and only to about 60% of the glass. Both bartenders made sure my drink was 25% drink( most being the mix) and 75% ice. Love the business ingenuity and I'm sure the profit margin is great, but as a consumer in a recession, I can see why it's dead on a Thursday night. I went down the street for dinner and had a delicious cocktail for the same price that actually contained a well made drink with no ice. The spot is cute and nice but not worth the price tag. If I wasn't staying at the hotel , I would not have bothered. I also didn't appreciate the bartender using his hands for the garnishes. read more

Mixed emotions about our experience here. The drinks were tasty, the decor was beautiful, the view was great! On the other hand, there were some issues. Firstly, one of the two bartenders seemed absolutely miserable - taller, brunette female. She very rudely told me to get my own tray to carry a cluster of drinks to our table... In-fact, the hostess caught on to how bizarre this was and was nice enough to help us get our drinks to the table! Little bit of kindness and support goes a long way when your customers are spending $17 on cocktails. Secondly, our seating arrangement was not ideal. For a party of three, we had a smaller loveseat bench and some sort of janky, side-table looking stool which couldn't have been more uncomfortable to sit on. If a party has made a reservation a week in advance, it would be great to give them some decent seating! All in all, this bar has great potential, but we weren't as thrilled as we wanted to be with our experience! read more

Good Behavior is located on the roof of the Made Hotel.  The elevator brings you to a beautiful atrium that opens to 2 outdoor areas.  You can grab a drink at the bar and find a comfortable seat if the weather is crummy (it's heated and covered!) or choose one of the outdoor areas if the weather is nice. The tropical theme cocktail list has something for every mood. If you're in the mood for something classic, you can get a Ginger Spice (vodka, ginger and pineapple).  For those craving to celebrate summer, they have the frozen Summer Feels (tequila, grapefruit, lime).  And for some of us who just want something familiar, we can ask for a Beware: Falling Coconuts (aged run, coconut milk, ginger, Peychaud bitters).  That one is especially dangerous because it goes down so easily!  So, beware, lest you want to be one of the coconuts. Overall, this place is definitely worth a visit.  The staff is cool and knowledgeable, the place is gorgeous and the drinks are delicious.  Go with a bunch of friends so you can taste everything on the menu. I bet you'll find a new favorite. read more
