The technician was professional, friendly, on time and their prices are very reasonable. Fast forward to yesterday, my heat was coming out cool, called them and the gentlemen said he might be able to get someone out today or tomorrow as they were very busy. He called in the afternoon, someone came out within the hour, I believe his name was Matt. Again, professional, friendly and problem was quickly resolved! I'm so glad I now have a company to use for all these repairs when needed!

He replaced our AC system and did everything effectively from the permits to the clean-up and disposal of the units. Our new system works perfectly. Len also literally bailed us out when our hot water system was leaking on a weekend. Problem solved. Totally recommend Len Shaperio.

First, we signed an agreement that they would not stand behind because "the girl that sold the contract no longer worked there"?? Naturally.....250$ more please. No, thank you, we are not stupid. Second, now that I had a reputable company doing the work, I find out that the amateur tech (that was on the phone the whole service learning how to play hvac tech) left the gasket off of the the ignition housing.... leading to leaking gas and occasional ignition failure. Two thumbs, waaaaaay down. Would give less stars if I could.

I had scheduled my day around them coming--they didn't know the employees didn't come to work until 1215? There was no way they could have let me know sooner and respected my time? They asked if I wanted to reschedule for the next day or wait until they knew whether they'd be able to make the appointment I made. Wait, what? They're offering to give me another appointment window that they don't think they can make? Why would I ever take that option? I've decided to go with someone else. I tried to trouble shoot on my on but to no avail. I called on Saturday AM @ 7:15 left a message and my call was returned by 9 AM. The gentlemen asked a few questions about what was going on but specifically if I could wait until Monday. Begrudgingly I agreed and the gentleman said someone would be there on Monday AM between 9-12. Needless to say I survived the weekend, thankfully my children were away. First thing Monday AM at 8:33 I received a call stating that the contractors were about 20 minutes away. They arrived right before 9AM as promised & got right to work. I didn't catch the primary gentlemen's name but he did tell me he was the son of the owner. He was so engaging and informative explained possible issues and once it was diagnosed got the heater fixed. They were here a little under 2 hours. He was honest enough to explain that I shouldn't waste anymore $$$ repairing this heater by explaining the life span and what my next steps would be. I'm totally satisfied and would highly recommend.

I've called these guys twice now…read more First time, my pilot light was refusing to light on my hot water heater. I know how to restart it but it wasn't working, they pointed out that dust buildup was preventing it and fixed it in no time. They didn't charge me for this quick fix! Second time, my frost free hose broke because I ignorantly did not disconnect it in the winter. They fixed it at a great price and explained why you need to do this in detail, I really appreciate that. I can't recommend these guys enough. There's always this fear that you'll get taken advantage of when you have to call service people, you won't have that fear with Hophan Brothers.

Top notch ! Heat went out on a Friday and Jason was here in a few hours to check it out…read more He ran numerous test to determine the cause and determined that unfortunately the heater had died (13 years old or so) because of the heat exchanger. (Prior to Jason coming we had the people who originally installed the system come and check it out and they determined the same fault but we had the feeling we were being rushed into making a decision about replacing it) Everything was delivered on Monday morning by 8am and Brandon & Mat removed the old heater & AC and we had heat again by 3:30 pm. They did a fantastic job with no trace of the old system or work inside or outside the house being visible. Would not hesitate to call them in the future. Price-wise they were less than our first call.

Thankfully, I pursued my search and contacted Out Of a Jam. I've read their reviews, noted the authentic and upbeat tone of their customers, and, most importantly, how the company found the time to interact and respond to its clients. This winter, I'm currently pregnant, and I have four other children; therefore, tackling my heating issue for the comfort of my family took precedence over everything else this week. It was clear within seven minutes of meeting Jason that he was knowledgeable and skilled at his craft. He asked questions, was receptive to my responses, assessed the issue, and promptly began work. There is immense comfort in knowing your HVAC company can assuage your anxiety by communicating with you and making it quite clear that they are here to help, not sell you something you don't need. Jason was extremely personable and educated my husband and me on the coverage under our manufacturing warranty. He was quite meticulous in explaining what was working within our heating system and identifying the culprit behind the problem.  Professionalism and communication are the epitome of a successful business. Period. I appreciate Jason being punctual, respectful, and humorous. I know without a doubt that he is integral to the company's success. Out Of a Jam now has lasting customers, and my husband and I look forward to working with them when it's time to install our new cooling system. I could not recommend them enough.

She made sure I was aware of the special they were running and assured me there would not be any surprise fees. The technician was on-time, extremely professional, friendly and took extra time to explain things in detail and trouble shoot things with us. We were perplexed as to why our electric bill was so high given that this is a 2 year old unit. He truly went above and beyond and probably spent way more time than is allotted for a routine service with us to figure out the problem - turns out the high density air filter we were using was causing the unit to work much harder than it should without moving much air - never would have figured this out without his help. And, as promised, we were only charged the quoted service fee special. Will not call anyone else for service or maintenance for anything heating or cooling related!

As I mentioned in my original post, this was my fault too since they did provide price up front. Will I choose them to do my job next time? Maybe. However I would definitely do some research first if time permits. The new heater is really quiet and I am happy about that. Another point I want to raise is that the plumber did a good job on installation but not the clean-up part. My wife and I spent almost an hour to clean up staircase and basement last night and we also found out there was some new dents on stairs. Below is my original review: _____________________ I felt like I got ripped off today. Water heater was leaking so I called ServiceMark since they installed for old owner and left a phone number on the old tank. They charged me $4663. I was in a desperate mood and was in and out of teleconference so I didn't do any research(totally my own fault). Now I have time and did some research and called some plumbers for quotes. The number was substantially low. I felt stupid and got robbed. I gave them 2 stars not 1 star because the plumber seems nice so I guess it's their company policy to rip off customer. I was going to ask them to install another tank for my investment property now I don't think it will happen. Won't do any business with them again!
