She stood there and stared at me . . . didn't say anything. I asked, are you out of one of the ingredients, and she tells me she's never made one before and just stands there awkwardly. Ended up asking for a vodka cranberry instead. We ordered mexican street corn dip to snack on while we waited for the pizza to be done, and it was quite bland--it really could have used lime juice or maybe just more cotija cheese. The pizza had good flavor all around, so there's that.

The cabin I stayed in this time was an older one but still comfortable and a great northwoods feel with a beautiful view of the lake.

Managing a waitlist for tables is not rocket science. We ate at the bar instead. And beware, if you order a pizza other than what their standard menu offerings are, suddenly you are paying for each individual ingredient. For example, we ordered a meats pizza and added three toppings. Instead of paying ~$20 plus what the additional 3 toppings cost we ended up paying $50 plus for a 15" pizza because each ingredient was itemized separately. Ridiculous! It's enough to make us not want to go back, regardless of how good the pizza was.

Totally fine if that's their policy but the (clearly unhappy and hates life) grey haired woman was so rude and shouting after us as we left. We were disappointed, for sure, but didn't need the added side comments about her having children and wanting to get home. Or "if it made us feel any better they took the last order at 7:45" I was holding the door open for my dad when she made the comment about children, one hand high on the doorframe, and shrugged while sort of tossing both hands in the air...at which point she started claiming to other customers I flipped her off. I would never imagine doing that to someone!!!! Extremely odd behavior when all I said in the exchange was that it was 8:04. Also worth noting that the dining room was 60-70% full, the bar had 6 people in it and food was still coming out. We didn't walk into a sleepy night with an empty restaurant asking for a table, the parking lot was full and business seemed to be steady. I've worked for really nice restaurants in Minocqua for years and would have been fired immediately if I ever spoke to customers like that.
