My foodie travels takes me to Upper East Side for a cold drink to cool down from New York City summer's humidity. After completing my hospital visit at nearby Lenox Hill - Northwell Health I needed bubble tea to sweetened my life from dispirited events. My drink satisfied my cold bubble tea itch. Peach green tea medium, $5.75 My drink order was fulfilled to the tee with 30% sugar, regular ice and including my default topping herbal jelly. The herbal jelly was very minimal, but tasted average. There are small pieces of peach fruit embedded. I do enjoy green tea - particularly Matcha green tea. There is minimal indoor seating and the air conditioning is somewhat inoperable. Customer service is efficient and attentive. This location is within the vicinity of CUNY Hunter College.

My first time at Gong Cha and I really enjoyed it. I had the Mango Milk Tea with, light ice and less sugar. My friend had the Brown Sugar Milk tea and really enjoyed it. Service was fast and very friendly. The only negative, it could have been cleaner. It was later in the day, but, if you take away from the experience.

Convenient location above 6 train and Hunter college. Student discount offered here and limited dine in seating. Poke bowls are offered here but a slightly sparse. Seasonal boba menus and non dairy formulas for most options but always confirm with staff. If you're new to boba, there's a three to four step ordering process: flavor option, size, sugar level/ice, and toppings. There's specialty drinks offered with poke bowl options from vegetarian to protein. Water closet for customers only in the rear of bar. The staff are fast mostly and attentive. Gong cha is a go to since there's multiple locations in NYC.

Gong Cha is one of my favorite boba chains, and this location is very good and makes the drinks delicious

This gong cha location does a great job with their bubble tea. Service was quick and great. As always, gong cha has a diverse menu - from fruity to light, to your flavored milk teams with a variety of toppings. This one hit the spot for me after my party and I trekked uptown on a hot summer day. The server was happy to give us another cup of water when we asked!

Yum! Loved grabbing boba at Gong cha. The service was amazing, the workers were super friendly and fast. My friend tried the slush and enjoyed it, while I loved my green tea with peach and boba. Will be returning here!

If you need to scratch your bubble tea itch while in the UES, this will do! Conveniently located in the close vicinity of Hunter's College and MET / Central Park (well close-ish). The inside is definitely much more spacious than your grab-and-go Gong Cha places with ample seating both in the front and back. A nice surprise is that they also have a decent Poké Bar for creating your own poké bowl. So you can get bubble tea and lunch/dinner and call it a day! Didn't try the poke bowl this time, but it seems that they have plenty items to choose from.

I remember a few years ago I really liked Gong Cha, but lately whenever I have gone I have been a bit disappointed. I ordered a taro milk tea which tasted particularly artificial and sadly did not satisfy my milk tea craving.

I usually bring my own beverage to school, but today I did and I STILL wanted to order from Gong Cha haha! I saw that they had a new drink, honey green tea with limited edition heart jellies, so naturally, I had 2 get it!! Green tea is so good for ur body and honey is just amazing 4 those who are like me and always need some sweetness ( sweet tooth gang ). they ran out of heart jellies, which is totally fine I understand everyone wants heart shaped jelly haha, but I love that they gave me star jellies!! Super cute in the drink and tasted so yummy!! Def recommend this drink! I also got 10% off for being a Hunter Student and 20% off for being a gong cha member ! Don't forget to sign up for exclusive rewards when u go in store, all u need to do is put in ur phone number!

Build Your Own Poke Bowl - very good

The poke bowls are very good. I chose to make my own and I got salmon, spicy tuna, crab meat, avocado, garlic chips, seaweed salad and edamame. Everything tasted very good and fresh. I got the ponzu sauce and poke sauce on the size, but I liked the ponzu sauce better. Overall it was very good.

Great boba! OK poke. I don't think I need to spend any words on how Gong Cha boba is legit, so I'll focus on the poke. First of all, it's wonderful to be able to get poke with your boba order. However, it wasn't the best, I'd say maybe even one of my least favorite pokes in the city. The serving size is generous and there's actually a lot of great flavors! However, the fish isn't super fresh, the sauce was a bit nauseating, the rice also wasn't great. All in all, let's just say I didn't feel amazing after eating it. Will definitely keep returning for the boba though.

I've never been to a yogurt store that makes you pay a set price first before selecting toppings, which also means toppings are limited based on the yogurt size (something I only realized later after looking at a picture I took in the store). The employee who was supposed to help me immediately gave me attitude, as if I was supposed to already know all the "rules" of the store. I said nothing that would have warranted that reaction -- I simply went over to the display. At the register, I scanned my rewards app then couldn't find the card reader to pay. After about 20 seconds, I realized it was sitting on top of a case of water bottles (pictured). The topping limit signage was also placed off to the side of the register where customers wouldn't naturally see it -- it wasn't even on my side and was partially blocked. I only found this out when I went up to the counter after I got my yogurt. While choosing toppings, I asked how many I was allowed, and she responded, "How many toppings do you think you're supposed to choose?" with a noticeably rude tone. When I chose cookie dough as my fourth topping, she only gave me a few pieces, dropped another on the counter (pictured), and ignored it. The cookie dough topping was stale too. I also noticed she did not seem to treat other customers the same way. I eventually went back to the register - I asked her if the yogurt was actually strawberry matcha because it tasted like vanilla. I also asked about her rudeness because I genuinely didn't understand why I was being treated that way for asking simple questions. She said the information was "on the wall," even though it was difficult to see. I actually ended up apologizing earlier because she made me feel like I was burdening her. The only personable thing she said the entire interaction was that I didn't need to apologize, but the tone still felt unfriendly. Two customers sitting nearby ended up leaving without ordering. I understand it was Super Bowl Sunday and she appeared to be working alone, which may have contributed to stress. Still, I left feeling extremely shaken and even spilled yogurt on my jacket afterward. I would not return to this location. I used to come to this location sometimes, but after this experience -- and a previous visit where I ordered a tea and received very little -- I would not return.

Ahh, grass jelly loeng4 fan2 涼粉 is my childhood favorite dessert and summons nostalgia! It is my mission to search for bubble tea businesses that offers grass jelly as a topping for my primary reason to patronize. It was abundant which filled one quarter of my medium sized drink. The grass jelly topping is New York City standard priced at $0.50 at least there is sustainability and a sense of normalcy. I requested regular ice, but the entire ice dispensed disappointedly melted and the drink became room temperate. Heat wave medium $6.00 Passionfruit green tea with grass jelly, 50%, light sugar. The drink alone was good quality. While scanning the electronic menu the drink names appear very comical and not business appropriate as well as this bubble tea business name Ho Ho Te. The sound speakers is boisterously loud blasting music directly at my face by the ordering counter. The cashier associate was 90% inaudible of her customer service questions due to the boisterously loud blasting music as I had to fight loud vs. loud by blurting loudly several times: "WHAT?" Why would a business intentionally place sound speakers in front of a ordering counter station where customers must communicate their food/drink orders? How can customers place their drinks orders with clear specific description/instructions only for the cashier associate to inadvertently obfuscate by misinformation because the message conveyed was utterly misinterpreted? Communication is vital for ordering and order fulfillment accuracy in the food service industry! The cardboard paper straws available are environmentally sustainable friendly for biodegradable and compostable. However, these cardboard straws taste AWFULl!! The drink selection is very limited menu compared with other bubble tea competitors. Disappointedly there is no Jasmine green tea on the menu. There are some food items. Takeout menus are available for grabs. Loyalty card is available which also serve as business card where the back is printed in gold foil. This business is very accessible by MTA NYC Transit at Port Authority 42nd Street's A, C, E trains and buses near the peripheral of Times Square.

They're a little pricey, but each donut is a pretty hefty ring of chewy glutinous rice flour batter. I had them the following morning, and the donuts still tasted fresh. There was a little bit of oiliness from the frying, but it did not taste off or too greasy. I think this is from the meticulous frying process and good management of the oil.
