In the passage of my travels, Yelp mobile application takes me to Boba Whale Hunter located at Upper East Side, NYC intersecting East 70th Street in the CUNY Hunter College vicinity. I have searched for many bubble tea businesses and willing to give new, small, independent boba tea shop a try without any pre-existing condition and without judgment. I found another bubble tea business that actually carries my favorite topping grass jelly loeng4 fan2 涼粉. It is earthy, slightly bittersweet flavor as it reminisce my childhood cherished memories of summers. It is here where I satisfied my bubble tea itch. There is limited indoor seating with high chairs and a window ledge as counter space. It is a small brick-and-mortar business. Customer service is attentive. I did obtained my sales receipt. Boba Whale Hunter is accessible via MTA NYC Transit 6 local train at 68th Street-Hunter College subway station.
Peach green tea, regular size $6.25
Fruit tea base of green tea, non-dairy, 25% sugar, more ice with grass jelly $0.75. My order was fulfilled accurately. The tea was a good consistency. It was refreshing on a very humid, muggy September afternoon, pre-autumn Equinox. The quantity for grass jelly was very minimal. The grass jelly was disappointedly small and tasted like Greek yogurt hard chunky heaped lumps. The 30% sugar level was a good consistently but not entirely sweet. As per my drink cup Boba Whale Hunter uses cane sugar which I highly prefer. Nevertheless, my drink did not contained a lot of ice as requested and served chilled, but not artic cold as desired. The ice melted entirely during my long-haul subway ride home. I like the motivational checklist boxes written on the drink cup for "today's reason."
