I noticed a lot of Juice Generations here in New York and can see why they are so popular. My colleague and I stopped by to grab some freshly squeezed juice to replenish our thirst after spending an afternoon walking around Central Park. I ordered the Green Guardian smoothie and she ordered the Hail to Kale juice. My smoothie had a very strong ginger taste. I like ginger so I didn't mind the strong taste, but for those who don't love ginger, I would recommend the Hail to Kale instead. I liked both drinks and found them refreshing in different ways. Have patience when you come here. Everything is made fresh to order, all real fresh ingredients, and they are packed. We waited a good 30 minutes for our drinks, but it was so worth it! The store is decent sized, but because they are popular, it was a bit packed. They have bottled juices if you want to grab and go. There's a variety of healthy snacks too. We have been visiting different JG since its inception in the city and always loved their smoothee. My wife in particular loves the Sunshine Day one but it has been discontinued. This JG, the guy at the register did not know what she was talking about but one of the Spanish guys in the back came out and spoke with us, asked what it was to jog his memory, made it for her and even gave her the remaining sample. This place was cool for an easy to go juice. They definitely use their fresh ingredients to make the juices. The only feedback would be to optimize some of their pricing. It seems as if there wasn't much correlation between the price of each fruit and the cost to make that juice. For example, a pure carrot juice would be more expensive than a mix of carrot/ginger/apple/etc. and that didn't quite make sense knowing that carrots are in fact the cheapest vegetable for juicing. The juice came out in a timely manner, however the smoothie took around 20 minutes. 3 people who ordered multiple smoothies were served before us. When I asked at the front to check on it. I wasn't impolite, nor did I get an attitude. I was treated as if I inconvenienced the cashier (who had no one in line) to ask about a drink that I PAID for. He just replied, without checking, it's getting ready right now. We had to wait another 5-7 mins for it to be done. The correct answer to a customer who is waiting and inquiring about their order is, "I'm sorry, let me go check on that." Even if you do a "fake" check on the order. I feel like they prioritize the togo orders, and sometimes things get lost in the mix. I come here at least once a week. I work in the area and recently have been on an açaí bowl quick. I love how fresh everything taste. I've gotten a variety of the bowls and they all are really good. My favorite is the peanut butter bliss. It comes with sliced bananas, strawberries, shaved coconut, granola, and peanut butter. If I had one of these in the morning, I'm not only energized, but completely full until dinner time. Usually the smoothies take quicker than the bowls, but everything is made pretty fast and you are never really waiting there that long. Go grab a bowl and sit in Central Park or Columbus Circle.
