New summer menu Playa Passion Bowl Tropical Twist Smoothie
Stacy C.

This is one of the larger Playa Bowl location. More seating and has a bathroom. We came to check out the summer menu. Passionfruit being one of my favorite fruits made this an easy choice today. The fruits on the bowl were fresh and sweet just as always at Playa . The Passionfruit base was an absolute treat . Quite refreshing on this hot day. The Tropical Twist Smoothie also a hit. We got coconut protein bites for our hiking trip. They have Watermelon Cold Pressed Juice on the summer menu which we will try next time. Staff at this location is lovely, engaging and polite . Order ahead if you're pressed for time, this is a busy location.

Nutella Acai Bowl

I placed an order to-go through Grubhub and it was ready when I arrived for pickup. The store is well lit with bright colors and smiling faces as I entered. Everything I needed to enjoy my Nutella Açaí Bowl was packaged neatly within a stapled bag. Fresh ingredients. Full of flavor. Crunchy granola. Exactly what I needed for a little energy boost this morning! I would definitely go back!

The açaí bowl here was pretty good, but I thought it was a tad too sweet for my liking. I usually prefer my açaí bowls to retain a bit of the sourness from the fruits. Service was fast and great, and ambiance was very casual!

I like this location of Playa Bowls a lot. The menu is the same as the others, but the location is very convenient and they have better seating than most. I've been here for both smoothies and bowls, which are made well. If it's your first time at Playa Bowls, my current favorites are the green smoothie (kale, pineapple, banana, coconut milk) and the Pacific bowl (the same green blend topped with granola, banana, strawberries, and almonds), and the seasonal specials are usually good too.

Electric Mermaid Pitaya Bowl and Tide Bowl

We tried Playa bowl for the first time and their açaí bowls were amazing! I had TIDE bowl which comes with Banana base, Kiwi, Pineapple and Mango with honey goji Berry topping. My friend tried the mermaid bowl which comes with Pitaya base, Kiwi, pineapple and Mango with honey and raw coconut. If you want to try more than one base, you can ask the cashier for two kinds which I chose Banana and Green base. Since we went for the first time, when we downloaded their reward app, we received 15% off coupon code. With that coupon, it was around $13 each and the amount was more than enough. They put so much fruits on top which I loved and the base tasted amazing! There are few tables so you can eat in the store. We loved this place so much and we'll definitely come back to try different kinds too!

I'm seeing the guy touching the screen to receive payments, get cash, and then without changing his gloves he goes back to cut banana and else! Disgusting. He needs some serious training. Where is the supervisor?

This is a very cute (Hawaii vibe) healthy smoothie shop right in the busy streets of nyc. I came here this past weekend with my bf and he ordered the açaí smoothie for us the share. It was very good and very refreshing. Also it wasn't super sweet as you may think haha. I would come back here again to try something new :)

My first experience with Playa bowls. I was not sure what to expect but my son wanted ice cream so here we are. Much healthier option for ice cream and he doesn't know any better. We got the pitaya bowl with fresh blueberries and bananas as well as granola, Nutella, coconut flakes and chocolate shavings. Boy was it delicious. We devoured almost the whole thing. Can't wait to try the ones here at home.

Healthy drinks, more on the pricey side, nice vibe and a quick spot to stop by. Cool decor on the inside and you get your drinks quickly.

It was good but my combination was off. I don't think peanut butter mix well with açaí. Nice costumer service. Just little over priced.

Power Acai Bowl

Really great açaí bowls and good coffee! I ordered the power açaí bowl with extra strawberries and it was so refreshing and a perfect mid day pick me up. It's a pretty big portion for the price and I felt full in good way. The açaí base was maybe a tad bit on the sweeter side but the peanut butter drizzle complimented it well. I didn't love the granola though so would recommend substituting the granola. The coffee was also great! The chicory is definitely a unique flavor that I really enjoyed. I ordered the bowl to go and they packed the order well and promptly.

This particular Playa Bowl is very busy. There is very little seating but the food itself is fantastic. The fruit was fresh and the bowl was very well prepared. I'm not sure I like the honey drizzled over the top of everything as it makes it all quite sticky and overly sweet. The price seems a tad high but that rings true of just shout everything in NYC. From the time I ordered to when it was made and in my hand was only about five minutes. No complaints in speed and efficiency. The floors etc, could be cleaner. It's clearly a favorite of the younger local crowd and a dozen or so school aged children were inside.

If you're looking for a nice healthy treat, then look no further. Playa Bowl is here! Conveniently located just a few blocks from 34th Herald Square and walking distance from Times Square. This location has indoor seating available and merchandise available for purchase. Some days the lines can be a little long so I would suggest ordering ahead to be on the safe side. The staff are friendly and they try their best to get your order completed timely. I love that they use fresh ingredients to create their menu items... true definition of fresh not frozen. So far I have only tried the smoothies and the oatmeal. Definitely a fan of both.

I really enjoy browsing and admiring so many of the items, though I do wish the pricing were a bit more accessible. Even if you don't buy much, it's a great place to wander, people-watch, and feel a little extra holiday cheer. I just can't fathom going into my purse for the items. Maybe you can?

She went back and forth and argued that my card was bad. Another employee came and the store manager lady came, who cut me off in a disrespectful manner, while I tried to explain to her that I was the one pointing out to the cashier, that she must have made a mistake and entered the wrong amount. I saved the store $60 and they acted as if I wanted to only pay $1.39 and get away with it or my card was bad. I was concerned to swipe the card again for the remaining $60, because I did not want to be charged twice, in case I was actually charged the full amount. We got into an argument. I asked the cashier lady to apologize but she ignored me and did not say a word. I used to shop here all the time. But they lost a costumer today.
