Best bubble tea spot in the neighborhood. I always come here for some bubble tea to get me through work. They also have delicious food like popcorn chicken with different flavors. The service is pretty fast and timely. They have a few chairs so you can dine in however I always take it to go
Cute lil boba shop with great service and good tasting drinks. Good for a quick pick me up or a late afternoon snack!
The spot inside itself was cool and the staff were very patient and polite, so no complaints there. Personally, I did not like the Oreo drink. I expected it to taste a little sweeter, I suppose, but it mostly tasted milky and not very good unfortunately, so I can't recommend it. That said, I won't pull down stars just because I didn't like one drink. My friend said her passion fruit was pretty good and though I didn't take a picture of it, my boyfriend got a strawberry slush, and that was amazing. If I ever pop by in the neighborhood again, that's what I'd get!
Came here on a Friday after work because I was craving brown sugar milk tea. I ordered ahead for pickup. The store itself is small but cute. There are so many different menus on the walls. There isn't a seating area but there is a long couch and a counter against the opposite wall if you'd like to stay for a few minutes. The girls who were working there were nice. I arrived early so they just politely let me know my order would be ready in a few minutes. I got the flaming brown sugar milk tea, popcorn chicken (pepper salt flavor), and fries. I took my food to go and meet someone nearby. The chicken and fries came in bags with longer toothpicks to stick and eat, almost street vendor style. This would make it convenient to eat on the go. I actually prefer this packaging to take the food a short distance because no condensation forms. By the time I got to the location, they were still crispy. The flaming brown sugar milk tea was exactly what I was hoping it would be. It was sweet without being too sweet. You can also adjust the level of sugar and ice you want. I just got normal for both. The fries were good. They didn't do anything different to them so they were just normal fries. The flavor of the chicken was good. I'll probably want to try the spicy flavor next. Both the fries and chicken were crispy and I could tell they were freshly made. I think the price is fair for what you get. The portion for the fries and chicken were good and could be shared between 2 people. They were $7.95 and $8.95 respectively. I paid $8.75 for the large brown sugar milk tea. It's a bit pricey in my opinion. However, it was for a large and tasted delicious. It honestly might be the same price as other shops nowadays. I'll definitely return when my craving for brown sugar milk tea returns.
My favorite bubble tea spot. I am a regular and they never get the bubble tea wrong... I'm a big fan of Taro milk tea with boba. The staff is super nice too. Haven't yet tried the food items here but they look interesting.
Not sure why this is rated so low. The service was so fast. I know that this is a no frills place and basically all take out items. But what more can you expect from a bubble tea place. I asked what drinks have no caffeine and they gave me a separate menu. I was like wow, other place would just tell me what I can get from menu. This place just whips out a separate menu. If I'm ever in the area, I'll get another drink again.
For what I ordered, I give a 4/5 star experience. I got the strawberry slushee and their curly fries. The fries were seasoned, nothing overwhelming and hot. The packaging it comes in makes it pretty convenient to eat on the go. The slushee was refreshing and delicious without being toothache sweet as most berry slushees are. The service was good. They were nice and polite which is always appreciated. I can't tell if it was because I came during their slower hours but their chairs and decor seemed to be moved to the side, like an afterthought. Other than that it's cute and subtle. I'd bring a friend to talk over another good drink. My friend had their boba and was pleasantly impressed.
So if you drink a little too much Vivi As in, if you drink as much as Me-me You'll say within a minute "Where's the bathroom", then be in it As you desperately expel your pee-pee. This was a super friendly Vivi, and I took shelter here from a rainstorm in New York's beautiful, wet asphalt smell and soaked streets. Such nice people, and lovely teas that they made me as well. It was pouring with rain outside so it was a nice refuge, and even though it was closer to closing time than I wanted it to be, they treated me wonderfully after a long walk in the rain, and I will definitely come back on the regular basis for their excellent bobas. And now for some rap: If you are the lock, I have the KEY-VI If you're Anthony Kaedis, I am the FLEA-VI And unlike freedom, this isn't the FREE-VI So try the mixed fruit drink here at VIVI If you are Edam, I'll be the BRIE-VI If you're the princess, I must be the PEA-VI If you want sausage, you know I'll bring the D-VI But if you want fruit tea, come and try VIVI I ran here so fast, I blew out the KNEE-VI It hurt so bad, like the EMERGENCY-VI But I said no, don't call the EMT-VI Cause first I want some yummy fruit tea from VIVI
The blue galaxy is perfect for this heatwave we are having in New York! It's the perfect combination of sweet and a bit sour because of the lemonade. It's incredibly refreshing with the type of ice inside, a slushy texture that goes easily through the straw. Delicious and refreshing! The inside is pretty small and was crowded the entire time. I would say that you shouldn't expect to be able to eat here but overall it was an easy process. Despite all the people in front of me, I got my drink at a relatively decent time.
Wow! The best popcorn chicken I had outside of Taiwan! Came here and got the matcha red bean milk tea and the salt and pepper popcorn chicken. The popcorn chicken was very crispy and loaded with flavor and super yummy. I'm craving for more now just thinking about it. The matcha milk tea was good too. Only complaint is it was very busy when I got there and it's a small place and everyone waited inside. No social distancing. Perhaps they should enforce limiting the amount of people that can wait inside at once. Ill be back for sure!
This ViVi Bubble Tea location is so cute! The graphics on the menu, the décor, and the general ambience of the place screams cuteness overload. Plus, they've got K-Pop playing while you wait - what's not to love? It helps that the shop is clean with a good amount of seating. About the tea - it's so good! i'm not a fan of bubbles or cold drinks, so i can only opine on the hot Thai milk and almond milk teas that we got. Oh my goodness - i could drink the almond milk tea forever. It's so smooth and wasn't overly sweet. Their process also made sure that there wasn't any weird residue left behind. i was so impressed - i can't wait to go back and try more flavors. It was also good to notice lots of patrons near the shop enjoying their teas. Clearly ViVi Bubble Tea is a welcome addition to this neighborhood. Minus one star: The shop could benefit from better customer service. The girl who took my order was very indifferent and seemed like she couldn't be bothered - no pleasantries or politeness, and she brusquely handed me back my card and receipt. Not a good look in an otherwise pleasant setting. Overall though, lovely shop with great tea.

When I first came here and read the menu I was really excited. They had quite a variety of drinks as well as many tasty sounding snacks. It was a bit pricy, but my friends and I decided to give some of them a try. Sadly, I wasn't too thrilled with what we did order. I would consider coming back though and giving it a try or maybe going to another location because they do have so many options on the menu.
Let ViVi be the reason why the UES needs better boba shops. The choices are either this, Gong Cha in the low 60s, and Boba Fish in the high 90s. For those of us who live in between, we're stuck with this one. I have a love/hate relationship with ViVi. The love comes out of necessity, because there simply aren't many accessible boba shops in the neighborhood. The hate comes from their lackluster drinks. The taro brulée is their most decent drink. It does the job, but it's not amazing either. The worst drink is the strawberry yakult which, I kid you not, tasted like medicine. The strawberry was so artificial. It reminded me of the Flinstones vitamins I was forced to take as a child. Yuck. On the bright side, this neighborhood is warming up to Asian shops, as seen by the two Japanese stores opening in the low 90s and 70s. I just hope more boba shops will follow suit. read more

Yippee, yippee, joy, joy! A 2nd bubble tea shop in my UES hood...Vivi Bubble Tea is best! (The 1st - Jupioca - is decent & my go-to for quality green juices but it only has a smaller menu of tea flavors). Vivi sells many more varieties of tea, drinks & even has some Taiwanese eats. For those who are unaware...you can order teas without boba & aloe jelly (which is too caloric for me!). Plus, you can also request different %'s of sugary & flavored syrup /sweetness. They also list the calories content of their drinks. My LOVES: Grapefruit & Strawberry @ 30% sweet level, Champagne Grape Aloe (w/ fresh aloe jelly & bits of grapes) & Fresh Watermelon Slush (w/ NO sugar), which is my absolute #1 fave..especially refreshing on a hot, summer day! Another MUST TRY: the BEST POPCORN CHICKEN in NYC - a popular Taiwanese street snack in a small paper bag eaten w/ lil' wooden sticks. You can choose from Spicy, (the original classic) Pepper Salt, Curry & Basil but my fave is always the Garlic, which is less salty than the classic flavor. You bite into a non-greasy, super-tasty & crunchy garlic batter followed by a juicy & tender dark-meat chicken morsel. It's 1 of the BEST (Taiwanese) Popcorn Chicken on UES & IMHO, compared to other popcorn chicken versions (eg. Popeyes,' KFC, etc), it's the tastiest of the bunch & doesn't require any sauces! Any popcorn chicken purist would approve. :) OK's: pork chop, (Chinese) ramen & rice bowls were basic w/o the authentic fixings (eg. Tea egg, pickled veggies, minced pork on top of rice). If only they would improve certain food items by making them more authentic Taiwanese...I guarantee that they would not only increase their sales but also bring awareness to UES -a neighborhood lacking in good, authentic Chinese cuisine options- that authentic Taiwanese / Chinese street eats are much more delish than Americanized versions of these dishes. Overall, I give Vivi 5 stars for being the ONLY tea spot on UES that sells boba teas, slushes along w/ the BEST POPCORN CHICKEN I've had so far in NYC (outside C'Town + Flushing)! This Vivi Bubble Tea location sits on 1324 Second Avenue, Upper East Side, Manhattan, NYC. I decided to revert back to my original default drink. This location is accessible via MTA NYC Transit Q at 72nd Street and 6 train at 68th Street - Hunter College. I inadvertently skipped lunch as I was not in a mood, I decided to satisfy my thirst for bubble tea. Peach Oolong, medium cold tea $6.25 Oolong 烏龍茶, wu1 lung4 caa4 cold tea with my predilection and proclivity as a confirmed verifiable herbal jelly lover plaguing my interest continues. Fulfillment achieved. Desideratum attained. Taste. Currently there is a promotion if payment is cash for my order to be upgraded from medium to large for the same price. "Upgrade to large" written on my sales receipt received. My default topping herbal jelly loeng4 fan2 涼粉 for $0.75, obtained is included in my order was well worth the price. The herbal jelly was a joyful delight, but very infinitesimal paucity quantity. I believe the quantity of toppings embedded should be in accord to the cup size. My 30% sugar level request was a good choice for this particular drink as it was not entirely sweet. The ice did sustained my drink to be chilled enduring my long-haul subway ride home. Again, Vivi Bubble Tea's sugar skull female character appears ubiquitous on their cups, drink sealant lid, and wall decor who is wearing pink. There are no Asian melon hard candy for distribution to the public. This location does not offer food. Background music was not boisterously loud, but a reasonable volume and I listened, in a elated disposition, to Katy Perry's "Firework" with optimism and a glow of positivity for year 2026. read more

The food was better than I expected. Never had a bubble tea place that served Ramen, so it was new yet inexplicably delicious. Would definitely go here again if I'm sick of halal and fried chicken wings. The Ramen noodles were soft and tasty, the popcorn chicken was seasoned well, and the bubble tea was nice and sweet. read more

Happy it's close to work! My favorite bubble tea spot. I prefer the one in Chinatown...just a sentimental thing. This place seems consistent with their teas and snacks so far. read more
This is going to be a huuuuuuge money sucker. After Yogurtland closed down, hubby and I haven't quite found a good place to go to for a close after dinner snack. Sedduto is good but a little too far (7 blocks) and I don't always feel like ice cream especially in the dead of winter. Kung Fu is good but still a little far (we are lazy! haha). Vivi is the perfect addition now. The drinks are a little sweeter than other places; 50% sugar is too much, so try 30% to get to a level that tastes like 50% at other places. There are so many different types of drinks to try; so far, I have tried the milk tea with bubbles (cold), matcha tea with red beans (cold), kumquat tea with basil seeds (cold) and Logan honey tea (hot). My favorite is the Logan honey tea - it has pieces of Logan in it! Since this place has opened, we have already gone there enough times to get our stamp card filled. Aside from the bubble tea, Vivi also serves food. The prices seem pretty good for the food. They offer a ramen combo with popcorn chicken for only 9$! I haven't tried the food other than the popcorn chicken. The best flavor out of the ones I tried (spicy, basil, salt and pepper) is the spicy. They give you quite a bit of popcorn chicken too (only 4.50$!). I've enjoyed the variety of non-dairy based teas available at this location especially since it's so close to work. Yesterday was my first visit since pre-Covid times. I ordered a Large Sized Oolong Tea with boba. I've purchased this before and the price was $5.99 including tax. This visit I paid $5.99 for a Medium Size! (Picture included) I have ordered a Large drink before and this was not it. The price went up $1? I understand they mention in their menu prices subject to change but at least make it visible/known to your customers. When you call and order at the storefront, the menu does not show price listings -- these are blocked out with white paper. Be advised, you'll be paying more this time around. It is rare to find a decent bubble team place in the UES, so you gotta appreciate that Vivi expanded its territory to the neighborhood. I am not a big fan of "bubble", so I always ordered the oolong float (oolong tea base topped with cheese foam), the tea was refreshing and the cheese foam added a creamy texture that enriched the flavor. If you are not a milk tea person, they also offer a lot of fruity tea. Besides the tea, they had Taiwanese street food and bento box on the food menu as well. I only tried the Taiwanese bbq sausage, it was $5 for two pieces, pretty tasty, they always made it fresh (but a bit greasy). I have not tried the bento box yet, not sure if it is good. The waitresses were pretty nice, after you ordered, they would give you a ticket for pickup. You can take away or eat there, they have four tables. This is definitely not as fancy as other bubble tea place in Asia but yea, it is in UES, so let's don't be harsh and adjust the expectation. read more

I came here for a matcha milk tea (very good) but ended up falling in love with the popcorn chicken. I've tried the spicy and salt/pepper flavor. The latter was my preference. Great place for a quick, inexpensive snack. read more

They offer lots of variety and flavors of bubble tea but I have not had the chance to try them, so this is only a review of their ramen. They offer ramen and ramen combos which comes with your choice of protein on the side. I had the tonkotsu ramen combo with Taiwanese pork chops. The ramen was mediocre but it did come with an egg which other places charges extra for. The pork chop was delicious but don't make the mistake that I did in placing it into the ramen. All the crispy goodness became a soggy mess. Considering the area, the price is pretty good. Ramen costs around $7.50 and the combos are about $10. It's a good place to have lunch in the area and it doesn't seem to get crowded. There are 3 tables for you to have your meal or snack. read more

It feels like this Vivi popped up overnight! Located right at the opening of the Q train entrance on 70th, it's in very close proximity to the major hospitals and academic centers in the area. This Taiwanese bubble tea place is sure to be competition to the Kungfu Tea on first avenue. There are a few really great qualities. The ample seating and relatively spacious interior make it a comfortable place to catch up with friends. They also offer hot snacks like popcorn chicken and rice plates. The drink menu is enormous! At our visit, we got the popcorn chicken, which comes with your choice of flavoring (basil, garlic, curry, or pepper) and two slushes - lemon kumquat and lychee. The popcorn chicken came out piping hot and fresh. It was well-seasoned but a little on the flour-y side. Prices are reasonable and perfect for a midday pick me up. Service was also speedy and efficient. Some drawbacks - the slushes were overly sweet and one dimensional. The lemon kumquat had very little lemon or kumquat flavor and tasted like generic citrus syrup. The cashier also gave us the little straws instead of the wider ones for bubble tea , which made it hard to drink the slushes. Next time I come, I would definitely skip the slushes. If this Vivi's is similar to their other locations, the fruit teas are definitely the way to go especially because you can usually adjust the sugar and ice levels in your drink. Overall, Vivi is a wonderful addition to the UES and adds a few more options to an already diverse food neighborhood. read more
