The also have the ingredients people are looking for like white or red lihing powder and lemon peel. They also have all kinds of gummy candy and lihing lemon peel gummies. Today they also have a daughter working for them and it's nice to see generational businesses. You still feel that connection with them. I used to look forward to peaches from Georgia back in the day. Then the peaches grove didn't continue doing business because it got so costly for them. It was really a sad thing for it was something I looked forward to and my daughter did too! But, with the times we move on. They have delicious kind mango now in season with big island lychee. The big island lychee has a very small pit inside and so lots of it is mainly the flesh and juice of the lychee. I bought a one day old bag that gets a little suntanned and it $1 off!! Nothing wrong with it. I tasted it and still juicy and softly crunchy. Excellent!! Everyone loves a bargain. I also buy my Chinese seeds from them. They have the sweet seed, honey ginger, and lemon peel that are all my favorite. They also have a ton of other items but today I did not take pictures. I will however do so next time. It's definitely a place to visit and get the best and sweetest lychee and mango during summer time!!!

Best place to get these ;IMO) since it's not always available at grocery stores. They sell all the fresh noodles by the pound. Really love their thin egg noodles (aka Hong Kong noodles). One pound is about 5-6 bundles. They have flat egg noodles , Should have asked what "elastic noodles" are - next time. Also have white saimin, regular saimin, thick saimin noodles. Haven't tried the white saimin noodles yet. The ladies are e patient with your questions if there's no other customers behind you. It's one of the places that most customers know what they want. If you want fresh noodles (no sauces) at a really reasonably precise, check this place out.

New Hong Kong Market in Chinatown is my go-to place for frozen buns (bao). The last row against the…read morewall, has all the freezers and they are stocked with different brands of frozen buns, shrimp dumplings, soup dumpling (xiao long bao) and glutinous rice balls (tong yuan). They have the cleanest freezers because they don't post their price tags all over the glass. They have the salted egg yolk custard buns here and they're $6 for 12 pieces. All the frozen buns in the baby blue colored package are good. The buns are moist and soft when you steam them at home. If you're looking for Asian sauces, dried noodles, Asian canned goods, or authentic snacks, you will also find those here. The aisles are tight, and each shelf is filled with merchandise. If you can't find something, ask the person sitting at the register and they will let you know if they have it and which aisle. The owners speak Mandarin and a little bit of English but if you show them a photo of the product on your phone, they'll be able to help you out. Whenever I shop in Chinatown, I park in the Marin Tower parking. The parking structure is well lit, and they have reasonable rates. It's only a few minutes walk to New Hong Kong Market.

For those not on restrictive diets, they offer a plethora of hot and cold "to go" dishes, bentos, etc... Lastly, they also carry the normal Asian and US grocery items as well. Luckily, I found free street parking on King Street, right in front of Xin Wang Market. It was relatively neat and clean! I took a look around and found the Chinese parsley and green onion. I asked staff for the choong choi. They thought that I meant bok choi and showed me a package of fresh vegetable. I said (in English) that it's not that, but the preserved vegetable, rolled up in a ball. LOL - they were speaking Chinese to each other and told me that they don't have it. Okay... I just paid cash and went to the next store. I think I got a good deal of the green onion and Chinese parsley? $3.50 for both!

The owners are always friendly and nice, and I always have a good experience and get what we I need and want. Of course during this pandemic, it's safer to stay home as much as possible, but you do need to get out once in a while to replenish the kitchen. I try to buy most of the things I need from here to support them. Coming to shop here did bring back some normalcy as opposed to eating the same fruit and vegetables from the Costco bulk size bags, so I'm grateful and thankful they've stayed open as much as they could during the peak times of the pandemic because it's an essential business. A lot of risk was taken during the early months as everyone just wore those blue disposable masks and some did not even wear masks at all. At least now, you have better masks, face shields, and have time to build dividers between the customers. Stay strong. Stay safe. Support local!

The aisles are super narrow and navigating between the shoppers with their baskets and rolling rudsacks is an adventure unique to Chinatown shopping. But with every available square foot used for shelf space, you are most likely to find the exotic ingredient that your Asian cookbook calls for. The outer left edge of the store is dedicated to frozen and refrigerated products with everything from fish, packaged spring rolls to frozen durien. A small section in the back offers fresh vegetables and the front 1/4 of the store contains ready to eat homemade items. The rest of the store is packed with non perishables from a variety of fish sauces, to rice (brown, white, wild, etc...), fermented tofu, and shrimp toasts just to name a few. Been accompanying my mother there for years and it never gets boring just browsing the aisles and seeing all the exotic Asian ingredients. Pro tip - When shopping Chinatown it's a good idea to bring a backpack or better yet a small soft cooler that you can strap on your shoulders. Pro tip 2 - Many places only take cash. Park at the municipal parking on Smith St and walk the 2 blocks to the store.
