My friends and I decided to go to the waterpark to float around the lazy river for the 4th of July. We checked to make sure I wasn't going to have any issues with my holiday swim suit, I have the right to tan my thighs just as much as any women, their website said I was good. Just no thongs. I get it, it's a family place. Floated 3 times around, heard the life guards start talking crap about me over their super loud radios. I'm sure the whole park heard! They sent "management" over to tell me my swimsuit was inappropriate and I needed to leave. I already knew the rules, apparently better than the employees, so I told them to leave me alone, I'm not leaving, their rules said nothing about it. The supervisor left, got over the loud radios again, and told all the teenage guys to stop being so judgmental. As they were switching out the immature life guards, a skinny red headed one mumbled something rude (Google wouldn't like me to say here) under his breath as he walked by us floating. I'm sure he just needs to learn to accept himself, before he will be able to accept others, but I shouldn't have to deal with a "life guard" making me feel discriminated against, and uncomfortable, at an establishment I payed you to be at. My swim suit follows the guidelines. What drove me insane the most was he kept calling it a thong, when it's clearly not, and floating 10ft in front of me was 2, 40+ year old women, with their butts in the air, in actual thongs. When I pointed that out to him, he became quiet, and walked away. It's funny how discrimination works. Men have to follow dress code rules, and when we do it's still a problem. Women on the other hand, they can wear anything they want. I counted 6 women, in 2minutes, in thongs, on my way out, after the lifeguards made us feel unwelcome. What a waste of $100. I used to come here in the 1980's and 90's. After so many years my little has been wanting to go inside the Golfland Castle that she sees when we pass by on the freeway. When we walked in, it felt like I was back in 1980's and my inner child came out. From video games to bumper boats to lazer tag... everything was the same. Even the carpet looked identical. My little one now asks about coming back here...and hopefully she will bring her future little ones here like I did with her. read more

Shame on you Golfland Sunsplash for not allowing outside food for people with medical disabilities(Celiac Disease as an example). As someone who has Celiac Disease it is not easy to have to deal with establishments not complying with the ADA allowing people to bring small reasonable amounts of snacks in. Especially in this Arizona heat hydration and having food in your system are crucial and you not allowing people who have medical conditions which they CAN NOT control to not bring in safe food is absolutely unacceptable. I agree with the person who commented that this needs to be looked into. A business should not exclude specific people's medical conditions that are recognized by the ADA. I will never come here, change your policy to be more inclusive or at least offer SAFE options. read more

CAN YOU SAY Waste of money We took 5 adults and 6 kids. It COST just under $500. 1st of all, it says on their web page that all people must pay (no spectators). Dont be fooled into paying for adults and anyone not going on or using attractions/rides. The no spectator policy is not enforced, and there were many adults without wrist bands on the property. We paid for all adults, and only 2 adults used any of the attractions/rides. 2nd, if you buy the $6.99 video game upgrade, dont expect much. 1) it only works on 60% of video games (if the machine was even working). 2) The card is severely restricted to playing about 1 game every 5 minutes. If you swipe it in a game that is on but not working, it makes you wait 1 to 5 minutes to be able to start another game. (They purposely slow the game play down). 3) All of the 6 video game cards had lots of problems with using them. We went to the counter, and the young lady who said she was the manager (but refused to give her name) was very annoyed and condescending. 1)She talked to me as if i was stupid. 2)She even told me the card was not valid before even looking or trying the card. 3) she seemed very annoyed that I was there. The video game cards themselves were very difficult to use, and all 6 kids (age 9 to 15) gave up within 30 minutes. Now, if kids gave up that easily, you have to know it must have been lame!!!! The restroom was clean but very dark, so i would recommend not allowing your children in there alone. As others have said in other reviews, the employees here (and i now agree) are lacking in smiles, enthusiasm & and energy. What a shame!! Saftey hazzard pointed out to the so-called manger, and she replied they know, and it will be fine. Sure, until a little kid puts their finger get and gets shocked. Dont pre pay for food online. it's the same price at the counter and more choices. they make you feel that they give you a discount if you preorder they dont. as well as the pizza is way over price for frozen pizza. even now that every thing cost more. Review by my 9yo and input from me: The place was decorated for the holidays, but after sunset, it was hard to see the ball you were hitting and there were lots of places to lose your balls on the greens. I feel like there should be a net to catch your calls because even the people in front of us kept losing their balls. There are some where my ball got stuck and another ball would have to hit it out to dislodge it. They made it pretty cool because there was a Santa's Workshop one and there was a lot of variety and a bridge. The bridge was very fun to go on. They had an arcade and pizza. The small pizzas are dense and very big, so we split one for 4 people and brought the second one we ordered home. The arcade is super loud and music at the eating area, but didn't work well. We would return during the day again because it was fun, but not at night. read more

I have been coming here for years, and I understand it's old, but this place has really gone downhill. The wave pool was covered in disgusting, large patches of what I can only assume was slimy algae. Basically everything is falling apart. I've visited Golfland and Sunsplash many times before with my husband, but have only played mini golf. This visit we finally decided to not only take our kids (there goes date night, ha), but also check out the rest of what the park has to offer. I'd advise to check the website before visiting because of special offers, you could save some money. We enjoy everything but the arcade which was not part of the package we purchased. I'm giving them four stars because there were a few times we waited longer than we should have for things that were open like laser tag and bumper boats. Also because we did not playvat the water park. However, shoutout to Monique for helping us and informing us about watermark area during the fall! This is primarily a review of NightSplash. While the park is definitely a fun time, especially in the evening, we were never informed that NightSplash means that over HALF the park is closed down. While crowds are maybe a TAD smaller, if at all, lines ended up being much longer than usual due to the lack of available rides. Additionally, waiting for tubes took forever, and once they became available, we had to lug them up to the top of each ride ourselves (no conveyer belts like other parks). Also one thing to note: towels are NOT provided, so be sure to bring your own. As a whole, though, it is definitely a nice park with lots of great attractions. But that being said, NightSplash is not entirely worth it. read more

We booked an expensive party at GOLFLAND SUNSPLASH to celebrate my "tween" grandson's 13th birthday. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! Nearly half of the arcade games were broken (not working at all) the party pizza was good, and that's the "highlight" of the entire party. Please be prepared to pay OUTRAGEOUS prices for concession "junk food" This place is not nearly as well maintained and FUN as it was in the past (before it was temporarily closed down due to the COVID pandemic.) I am a therapist and teacher for special needs children, and today I brought a group of underprivileged special needs kids here for a birthday party. It was the worst experience I could have imagined due to the incompetence and heartlessness of the manager Monique (she refused to give a last name.) First, the games were not dispensing tickets, and I asked about this I was told that it was credited to the card. When we went to choose prizes, the staff told us the kids has zero tickets on their cards. They refused to let the children choose any prizes (not even one small piece of candy worth 10 tickets), and the kids ended up sad and crying. These children are underprivileged and do not get this sort of experience often. How heartless do you have to be to do something like that to a crying 3 year old with Autism on her birthday? While we were doing the other activities we saw the manager Monique counting the candy behind the counter to make sure her staff didn't give the crying children any. Upon arriving we were also told that Sunsplash didn't open until 5:00pm (even though the google maps page said it opened at 10:00 am.) We were told to come back at 5:00 pm, and that we could get in using our pogo passes. When we arrived back at 5:00 pm, Monique forced us to pay $20 per person instead of using our passes like we were initially told we could. These families don't have that kind of funding, and the parents felt uncomfortable relying on me to buy their tickets. The special needs children were all crying again, and it was a disaster. I'm amazed that this place allows mean spirited candy tyrants to run a children's amusement park. The only good thing I can say is about a staff member named Gavin, who appears to be the only one capable of operating any of the rides. They had to get him to run laser tag, bumper boats, bumper cars, and go karts. I just cannot believe I spent almost $1,000 on this group outing for the staff here to be mean to special needs kids at a birthday party. Unbelievable. read more

GOLFLAND has deteriorated SO BAD!!! I've lived in AZ for 27 years and I'm pretty sure the putt putt has never been updated. The structures are wood rotted, the metal grates to keep the balls from going further into the water are not secure, the doors on the structures stick so the balls get stuck where you have to climb past barricades to get them out. The walkways throughout the course are uneven causing tripping hazards. #10 on the princess path (looks like a skee-ball machine), every group was getting their balls stuck and there is no way of getting them out. The prices have doubled over the years, but there's been no improvements to the course overall. The arcade has been redone, sun splash has gotten new attractions, but not a single update has happened on the golfland side. Get it together Golfland! read more

Came strictly to play mini golf and the experience was fine. The young man working the counter was too busy trying to get his female coworkers attention to even notice there were customers waiting so I took a deep breath. He rung us up quickly and with accuracy once his head came out of the clouds. We had a blast playing as a family. There are three different 18-hole courses, I believe. Unfortunately, Yelp doesn't have the option of no stars so one will have to do for the sake of letting the public know what type of establishment this is. On May 19th, 2024, my sister and I visited with her 2 children. We had. 1.5 year old and a 3 year old. One of them has Sensory Processing Disorder and autistic so this was a completely new experience for him. When it came time to get wristbands, my nephew did not want to wear it as this creates discomfort due to the sensory disorder. Instead of being understanding and trying to find a way to make a reasonable accommodation as the ADA states, we were told that if he didn't wear the wristband, he couldn't go in. I was shocked that they were unwilling to cooperate with us to find another solution. In the midst of this, my nephew is in distress, crying and physically having a hard time controlling his emotions. We told them he was autistic and that he has a hard time with textures and wearing things as it causes him to become very upset. The woman with the wristbands was completely unprofessional and downright rude throughout this whole time. We had to pin our nephew down to get the wristband on long enough to make it past the gate before taking it off immediately. While I understand these are a safety precaution for who is allowed inside the park, this was no way to handle this situation. We've never experienced this kind of discrimination from a business before and will not be returning and ensuring others find another water park to visit also. We will be looking into filing a formal complaint and will pursue any other legal action needed so that no other child or adult has to go through this torture for the sake of a wristband. It is such a shame considering my family has spent many years growing up and coming here during the summer. I would advise anyone to reconsider going here and take your business to one of the other AZ water parks. read more

its a fun place to go if your rich and ok with half the slide being closed. we got ice cream and the lady forgot which ice cream was which and was sniffing them and then handed it to us and said i don't know which one is which. the milkshakes also took like 10 minutes to be made and the fries tasted like salted cardboard. not to mention you have to pay $60 to get in and then there's like 2 fun rides that are open until 8:20 which is 40 minutes before they say it's goung to close. also dont bring water with you because they are going to make you dump it out and the only water fountains they have need new filters and give warm water. the lazy river is filthy and we even found a diaper in the wave pool definitely don't recommend going your better off going to one of the high schools with a pool. read more

The staff at the go karting was inconsiderate and had poor customer service, and to be honest were quite rude. My family met the height requirement when purchasing the tickets, but when we went out to the karts the workers said no. My friends and I went here last night every thing was going fine until we got to the go karts. We all got into the go karts and we were in the process of buckling up and hearing the rules. My buckle was to loose and I didn't know how to tighten it so I looked over at one of the workers to see if he could help me. He was very nice, gentle, and explained what I need to do. As he was helping me the other worker came over, said nothing and tighten the buckle as tight and aggressive as she could. As we started driving my kart was bouncing like crazy to where I almost couldn't drive it. It also didn't help that the worker that was very aggressive started yelling in the speakers sounding very upset telling us to stop driving and she did that about 3 times. After we all got off my friends also said how rude and aggressive that worker was and how it was very hard to drive. The go karts were so bad, I'm brused on my back and legs and I'm very sore. We looked forward to having season passes here and we were so excited because this year was the year! BUT don't plan on becoming members unless you're willing to hand over you and your children's private biometric information. We had paid for full platinum membership and had photo ID and information ready. But the ONLY way members can enter the park is to release their private biometric information into Sunsplash's computer system and then have the back of their hand and wrist scanned. I love Sunsplash and I come back almost every summer! I enjoy coming to "nightsplash" to avoid the scorching hot sun. I've been to both Friday and Saturday nights and they are both just as busy. Pricing isn't bad and it's about $18 per person for nightsplash. On Fridays, nightsplash runs from 6pm to 11pm and on Saturdays they are open from 6pm to 10pm. Employees are usually friendly and some just don't want to be there, but hey, I would be in a bad mood too if I had to stand outside in 100 plus degree weather. Nightsplash tends to get pretty busy and parking can get a little crazy! The lines for the slides are usually pretty long, but they move quickly. The rides are FUNNNN! They do rent lockers! We paid $18 for ours upfront and when we returned the key, we got $10 back! Beware of wedgies... they will get you on some of the rides!! You are allowed to wear sandals but you must hold on to them when getting in the rides! read more

It was actually really good and done quickly. They do allow you to bring it in the waterpark, but only their food. My family really enjoyed our time here. We had some confusion about where to get tubes and which tube went with what slides. I would have loved for that to have been labeled better. We saw a lot of people in wrong lines with the wrong tubes so it wasn't just us. Staff was available and friendly when we had questions. There is plenty to do for all ages. Plan on spending the whole day here. There is a splash pad and slide area for 7 and under, another slide area for all ages, and of course the big slides. Definitely worth the trip. Let me start off by saying the only reason for 2 stars instead of one is because this place is pretty cool. My review comes completely down to the staff. They were the worst lazy rude batch of kids. We brought our child here for her 8th birthday on a weekday. So in regards to how busy it was, there was no more than 10 cars in the parking lot each time I looked that way. I bought the 3hr fun passes with the added 3hrs of video games. After getting our wristbands we walked 20ft to the bumper cars. Nobody there. After ringing the doorbell multiple times it took 10 minutes to get someone there. Then it took 5 min to get us up and running. Two of the cars didn't work and our wristbands wouldn't scan. Finally she was like, I know these are good because I just printed them for you and let us in the gate. Then we headed down to the bumper boats. Once again nobody was there. Had to ring the doorbell multiple times and wait another 10 minutes for someone to come. Basically this was par for the course the whole time. Now to the game cards that worked 3 or 4 times out of every 10 times we slid them. The card readers kept flashing red. Then you would uave to wait 30 seconds before sliding again. Then most of the times it was just red again. So basically you had to jump between games and wait 30 sec here and 30 sec there. What a freaking joke. I've never been to a place that have had card reader issues like this. Overall I tried over 10 or 15 games that would never take our cards. The kids were very very upset about all of the card reader issues. We ended up last in laser tag which nobody was there. One of the vests wouldn't work, then the girls scanner broke to set us up. Once again par for the course. Wait wait wait! For the staff issues. Every time a looked for them I would find 5 or 6 of them just talking amongst themselves. Staring at their phones or sipping on a soda. I would try to ask them for help and they would just flat out ignore me and keep chatting amongst themselves. It was almost comical the way they were. So for paying for 3 hrs, I bet we were held up for at least an hour of that time because of staffing. So if anyone that runs this place actually cares, please reach out to me to discuss. read more

Where do I start? Bought unlimited passes for the family yet didn't even get 3 rides/attractions completed in 3 hours even though wasn't super busy. Luckily they scanned our wrist bands when we got in line for go-carts as it was 3 and a half hours when we finished that ride. We never even stopped to eat or go to the bathroom, just went directly to each ride. The unlimited bands actually cost us $40+ more than if we were to buy the rides separately. They wouldn't give partial refund, claimed manager wasn't on site. Everything was run extremely inefficiently, they could've got many more people through the lines if they really wanted to. The arcade was terrible. Almost half of the machines were either out of order or partially broken. I'm not exaggerating about that either, it was almost half of the machines. read more
