Awesome coach. I met Rebekka through multiple referrals from my office that had taken her classes. She is a consummate professional, good sense of humor, very supportive, has good coaching tools and will work with your swing. No ego. Just fun golf talk and a kind person. The other coach...a guy at Blue Rocks is pretty cocky, walking around like he's cool... nah he's not.... he just starts to set up all his stuff for his class, as you and others are putting, yells for people to move and then when I asked what he was doing, he brings out his "pro" card or employee badge or whatever. Apparantly means, he owns the place. Anyways. Do not go for that guy. Rebekka is the Wo'man' for the job. She works w your swing and gives good practical tips to improve. She films your swing and sends it to you, I have spent many hours looking at my swing and playing back her words of wisdom and it has given me lots of helpful tips and you are able to work on them, on your own. She has a set rate and also a package rate that save you $$ (I got the package rate of 6 classes) She is awesome and soon will get booked up. So, give her a call ASAP. I truly enjoyed my lessons with Rebecka. I signed up for her beginner's package after dropping in for a class. This was my first time golfing and she was extremely helpful from the start. Rebecka is professional, very knowledgeable and makes everyone feel welcomed. You'll be golfing beside a diverse group of women who are friendly and supportive. I looked forward to my Saturday classes with group. I highly recommend her beginners series if you're interested in golf, but not sure where to start. I needed a tuneup before playing my annual tound of golf (I only play one or two rounds a year), and decided to try Rebecka's women's golf clinics to get back into things. She is very encouraging and her clinics (small, capped at 8 wonen) are really enjoyable to take. she finds time to give inidividual attention to each person. I decided to take also some private lessons with her, and I have to credit shooting my lowest score to date to a couple of drills she had me work on. Highly recommended! read more

Rebecka has been instrumental in revolutionizing my golf game. During the last 12 months, I've had several lessons (1hr x 7) with Rebecka and this review is long overdue. During this time she has helped me reduce my handicap from mid 20s to single digits. Her lessons have not only improved my game, but I've become more knowledge about many more aspects of the swing, strike, d-plane and other technical aspects of golf. Her knowledge has enabled me to be much more dynamic when I'm out on the course. I'm equipped with so many more skills to deal with an array of situations (ball above my feet, driver going left/right, low shots, high shots etc). During lessons we use Trackman to both diagnose and troubleshoot issues. This is the same technology that tour pros use. What I enjoy the most about lessons with her is being able to dig into the data immediately and translate that into solutions that I can directly apply on the course. After each lessons, I receive a recap from her via CoachNow - which allows me to replay aspects of my swing we were working with video/photos and/or stats etc. It's a great tool for reviewing lessons and helps make time on the range much more productive. I've completed 12 private lessons with Rebecka since last September. Over the course of 23 years, I've had lessons with several coaches and she is among the best, if not THE best. Why? Experience - She has been teaching since 2004 (Class A LPGA Teaching Professional since 2011) and prior to that she played professionally. Long enough to know what she is doing, yet still interested in finding different ways to reach her students to make things "click". I've struggled with shanks and poor bunker play lately. On the practice tee she offered a few suggestions as to why it might be happening. I was still struggling, so she decided to take me to a nearby bunker to see what I was doing. It was the most stressful lesson I ever had because I turned into a shank machine! But Rebecka was glad that she could see what was going on first hand. She went back to the drawing board and came up with more ideas to make things "click" for me. I also had some suggestions about why I couldn't get out of the bunker, so in a way it was a collaborative effort. This is a hallmark of a good teacher - including the student's input and working together to find a solution. Even though I had that setback, I've since realized how important the lesson was and I can see that I'm going in the right direction. Technology - Rebecka uses TrackMan on the range to collect a bunch of data about your swing. If you are into data this is wonderful. If you are like me, too much data makes my eyes glaze over, but it is neat to see certain things like swing speed, club face at impact, and ball carry. She also takes video clips during the lesson and shows you on the spot what you are doing. The other tech Rebecka uses is the CoachNow software/App. This is like a golf diary tool that allows you to see the clips of your golf swing with her commentary. But you can also upload clips that you take of yourself at practice sessions and in return get immediate feedback, before bad habits can set in. At the end of each lesson, she records me giving a recap of what I learned. While she offers prompts to make sure everything is reviewed, but the summary is my main takeaways in my own words. That's a powerful means of reinforcement and is also indicative of good teaching. Since everything is stored on CoachNow, I can refer to information from all of my lessons anytime and anyplace. Mechanics vs Mental approach - I've never had a coach focus on the mental side of golf. When I explained that confidence was one of the biggest obstacles I face on a golf course. She introduced me to a program called HeartMath, which is in a way like meditation in that it allows you to regulate your emotions to reduce stress. It involves imagining positive or happy feelings or experiences while breathing in a rhythmic pattern that syncs up with your heart rhythm and puts you into a state of "coherence" or as I like to think of it as "focused calmness". I've worked this into my preshot routines and while it takes practice, it really does make a difference. Personality - Rebecka is full of it! She has an easy going, genuinely friendly demeanor. No question is too silly. No confusion is dismissed. While she wants everyone to love the game of golf as much as she does, she is aware that may not be the case for all of her students. So at the first lesson she will ask a lot of questions to figure out how to improve your game for the kind of golf you want to play - competitive or social, aiming to be the club champion or just to "suck less", or somewhere in between. She's happy to help everyone. She makes you feel welcome to be on the practice tee or on the course with her. Those are some of the pros about Rebecka, but what about the cons - there must be a ding. I've thought about this, and there aren't any. But if I had to come up with something it would be that her lessons run over time. Sometimes, I had to wait 10 minutes while she finished up with her earlier lesson. Horrible, right? Until I realized that my lessons typically ran long! That's the sign of someone who is engaged in teaching and not paying close attention to a clock. So the "con" is really a "pro". Now go get some lessons (she offers group clinics, women only clinics, private, semi-private, and online consults) - they are worth every single penny, I promise! read more

Rebecka gave us an hour long joint private lesson a few weeks ago at the Oakmont Golf Club and WOW! I had not picked up a golf club in around 20 years, and had never really had formal instruction. Well, I through the short period of time with Rebecka (less than one hour), my golf game improved about 5000%! Suddenly I was hitting balls and they were traveling far further than I had ever gotten them to travel before, with just a 7 iron! Now I see how addictive the game of golf can be! She was super patient and kept the instruction fun and engaging for us both, building from basics. She is an extremely gifted and talented instructor and I could not recommend her more highly. I've been taking lessons from Rebecka for about 6 months now. I started with a 6 pack of individual lessons and immediately re-upped on another 6, and will do so again in the near future. Golf lessons anywhere aren't cheap; hers are competitively priced, and I'm getting way more than I ever have from other instructors with similar price points. However, she also has a variety of options depending on your budget, including group lessons, tutorials/classes, and one-on-one individual lessons. For me, there are several key reasons I'm so happy with her instruction: First of all, her ability to isolate and diagnose little details causing issues with my swing, and how to go about correcting or changing them, is extraordinary. Lots of instructors, including her, understand swing fundamentals, but she is able to tweak and work with the swing I have, rather than force feed me standardized swing mechanics. She incorporates movement and swing fundamentals in a way that makes sense with how my body moves. I have back and elbow issues associated with golf. Her work has greatly reduced the stress on my back, and my tendonitis issues have vanished completely. She's not a doctor, I'm just saying she was able to get my body moving in a way that greatly reduced the stress on my back and elbow. Second, she is current with technology. The Trackman data she provides, video and stills of my swing, notes during the lessons, and reminders of what to work on moving forward, is all memorialized and accessible in a coaching app she uses. It also allows me to give and get feedback with what is going on while I'm out playing in relation to our lessons. Finally, she is a really good coach. Golf is a mental and emotional game, and she does not shy away from those components at all. She has helped my mental game improve as much, if not more so, as my technical swing issues. She actively listens and never condescends, regardless of the age, skill level, or knowledge base of who she's working with. I sought her out for lessons because I was at the driving range and overheard her working with other golfers. I really liked how she related to and coached them. She helps people find THEIR golf swing, not just a golf swing. Basically, I'm a huge fan and very grateful to have found her. Golfing is something I'm absurdly passionate about, and my experience is that she will meet me step for step with however far I'm willing to work on my game. There have been times my every waking moment is thinking about golf and I'm blowing up my page on the app, and she's always responsive and supportive. But sometimes life happens, I don't practice or go a while without scheduling a lesson, then show up discombobulated. That's ok, too; Rebecka rolls with whatever I'm able to bring on any given day, week or month. I highly highly highly recommend her. I'm working on getting my kids lessons with her, I almost have my girlfriend convinced to get a pack of lessons to start learning this great game, and my golfing buddy, they all get the same recommendation from me. Rebecka is awesome. My first lesson we went over chipping and she showed me the art of the "bump and rub" which have been incredibly useful tools in improving my score. In my most recent lesson we addressed my approach/set up to the ball and my posture. It felt like a complete transformation. I have been golfing for a few years but never had professional lessons. I was getting by but after I took a couple of one on one lessons with Rebeka and attended her 2-day golf clinic my swing/game has improved 100%. I am a long time golfer-learned as a kid. I have had lessons with Rebecka both at the range and on the course. She is a coach who can assess you quickly and suggest changes without trying to completely overhaul your swing. She has technology to show you the details of your swing including before and after photos/video. The setting at Oakmont is ideal. The course is quiet and unpretentious. I worked on my golf with Rebecka long time ago when she was in Walnut Creek. She helped me to work on my swing and got a lot of basics done, she is really good at helping you with your unique way to swing rather than just following the book. Rebecka is an incredible golf coach -- not a golf pro who happens to teach. She devoted an immense amount of time and effort to become an incredible teacher, with a deep understanding of the learning process. She quickly adapts her lessons and drills in order to fit your learning style. Her explanations and demonstrations are simple and clear, so you can quickly implement her recommendations. I can't recommend lessons with Rebecka enough. The Trackman system (computer/camera equipment that measures how you swing your club) is unlike anything I had ever seen and allows her to diagnose your swing instantaneously. My wife and I have been taking private lessons with Rebecka for a few months now and the difference in my swing is incredible! Using the CoachNow app I get feedback from each lesson with tips and reminders on what I should be working on outside of class. As my skills increased , she has incorporated more technical parts of the game to keep me challenged and progressing. The trackman is a huge plus because I was able to see my club angle at impact and get real time swing analysis during my lesson. On top of all that, Rebecka has done wonders for my mental game. I'm avid golfer who needed some adjustments to my swing. Rebecka had high ratings on Yelp so I decided to schedule a lesson with her. I had an hour long private lesson at Blue Rock Springs. She quickly identified two changes that I could make to improve my swing (grip and backswing). I saw immediate improvements in my game. I met Rebecka at a 2-day golf clinic in April and came away so impressed that I've started lessons with her at the Oakmont Golf Course. She is an excellent trainer - she allows your golf swing to reflect you and not some "out of the box" swing. She does a great job of explaining what she wants to see in your swing and if you don't understand she will go out of her way to find a different way to explain it to you. I also like that she focuses on all parts of the game -0 not just physically what you are supposed to be doing but mentally focusing and staying calm and enjoying. But wait, there's more! She also employs technology so you can get all sorts of data about your swing and she hooks you up on this app and sends you video of your swing and things to focus on during the next week! Earlier this year, I wrote a review re: a regular golf lesson with Rebecka I purchased in January. Two weeks ago, I decided to give myself a "playing lesson" with Rebecka at Oakmont's 9-hole executive course. This lesson costs a little more but was worth a whole lot more. She was able to see how I made decisions on the course, was able to coach me on everything from alignment to sand play to putting, etc. It was well worth it, folks. I got so much out of that lesson! She also took notes and made these available to me online for future reference. She can teach at any level and provides information for the student at the appropriate level of play. Rebecka helped me big time with my swing. It can be very scary changing the way you swing the club, but she has a very convincing and welcoming way about her that made it easier for me to try something different. She explains (through video) your swing so it is easier for your mind/body to "get" the reasoning behind the change. Within one short lesson I was hitting the ball solid and that carried over to my golf game the next week. I met Rebecka at her two-day trouble shot golf clinic, where she guided us through many of the problematic shots in golf-- sand trap, bad lies, side hill, downhill, etc. The experience was inspiring and fun!
