Recently played at Peacock Gap for the first time this past weekend, and I gotta say, this place…read moreexceeded expectations. First off, the practice facility has to be one of the nicest ones I've seen for a public course in the Bay Area. All grass driving range, a couple different putting greens and practice bunkers as well. If I lived closer or in the area. This would be the place to practice. Especially during the dry months. For the course, while it's mostly flat, it challenges you to hit almost every club in the bag. Lots of hazards, OB, but also some wide fairways. It's better to be accurate than long here, which for me is a fun way to play. The greens were a little inconsistent though but at least they are more than playable. Since there's a good amount of par 3s and handful of short par 4s, the was a bit of waiting at multiple tee boxes. Overall, very solid course. Great for all skill levels and would definitely play here again

The golf and restaurant staff I encountered is pretty friendly and attentive, too. I played on a weekday and the senior rate is $50 to walk. The greens are in pretty good shape but there are signs of some sort of disease on some. The rough and fairways are mostly fine but there are patches of crab grass. My ball actually came to rest on a large, tough crabgrass weed near the green and my wedge sort of bounced off it while chipping! I have played here many times over the years and although it's not as good as when it was first reopened, it's nice to have a good, affordable course in Marin County.

With the Ritz Carlton hotel in the back drop on the finishing holes of both courses and the spectacular ocean views, it's a memory you remember for ages. The Old Course is my favorite of the two. More character and variety of holes to challenge your skills and course management. Good greens and fairways among the quietness as you wind through the nice neighborhood homes along the course. 17th and 18th are their signature Pebble Beach like holes. On that final hole, nothing beats hitting your approach onto the green after carrying the water in front of all those Ritz Carlton guests!! You might even get some applause for it. The Ocean Course is what most visitors want to play, with many more Ocean view holes, but not as much variety of holes and shots. Still a good colf course with challenging shots and bunkers to navigate. And being on the water, it can get pretty windy, too. It's not cheap but when compared to rates at some of the other top public courses in the Bay Area and Monterey, it's a pretty good value and you definitely don't want to miss it.

I had booked our tee times well in advance, but there was a bit of a miscommunication on the books when we arrived, and the staff seemed surprised by our family check-in. Honestly, Nate was the absolute MVP of the day. Without him, our day would have been ruined. So, we truly appreciate him and we were so grateful that he went above and beyond to get us completely taken care of, ensuring our family was able to stick together and play/spectate as a group for the whole round. We timed the day perfectly, wrapping up on the 18th hole right around 8 PM. To cap off a great day, we had dinner at The Conservatory. The customer service there was top-notch, and the food was exceptional. My dad enjoyed it so much that he already wants to come back to try out the Ocean Course next time--hopefully with a more organized situation at check-in!

So for once I can actually say "thank you" to my care provider. StretchLabs seem to have multiplied as fast as bacteria. In Marin alone there are now 3 but I've come to learn something worth knowing: Though the art on the walls may be the same at all, the experience you have there is not. StretchLab Greenbrae is owned by the same folks as StretchLab Novato. I've been to both (and more) and formed an impression based on this. Namely, the owners of these two StretchLab outposts run the place with excellence. There is always someone to greet and welcome you, it always feels genuine, and it lends to my enjoyment of the overall experience. When a place is well run it filters down to the staff. Here (and Novato) I've never had a Flexologist arrive late, start late, or cancel altogether. If this has happened to you I'd bet it occurred neither in Greenbrae or Novato. Each Flexologist (their term) comes to the job with a different background (e.g. yoga, personal training, etc.) and I've found it interesting to try stretches performed by differing staff members to experience the variety and see whose touch I prefer. Though I have identified favorites, all have been uniformly excellent. I always leave feeling better than when I arrived and further, I find the whole process enjoyable. If you have the means, the need, and the inclination, StretchLab Greenbrae and StretchLab Novato provide what I can only describe as a perfect experience from the moment you step inside until the time you leave.

I have not had this much movement in my rotator cuff for decades, a testament to the practice, the place and practitioner. The studio staff is personal and professional, and the entrepreneurs Pam and Jeff that own studios in Greenbrae and Novato are deeply committed to the process and have created a special place. As I increase the number of sessions per month, I anticipate more flexibility in multiple areas.
