Love that the place is nearby but I recently soured on them for a simple reason: I couldn't find someone who knew how to operate Trackman. I visited to get my distances dialed in, and got assistance after with an email of the report. Turns out it was a single video of someone else. After several days of waiting, I finally got a report with some data. But Carry and Total Distance were not available - whether via browser or the Trackman app. Then I was told I had to have signed into the their bay when I was onsite. But when I arrived onsite with a buddy, we both said we need help getting set up and thus we thought we were - turns out that wasn't the case. Seems to me that if you know Trackman this place may be worth a try. If you don't, you should learn before you go or risk the chance of not having key data available after the session. Unfortunately, with all the back and forth and the fact I never got the 2 most important data points I wanted (the reason I signed up was to dial in iron and wedge distances) I would reconsider going here. When I suggested that all employees become proficient in Trackman and asked what they thought I heard nothing back. Probably worth a try, but, buyer beware. If I were the shop owner, I would have offered a return session on the house. This never crossed their minds. Too bad. read more

Kevin is a great instructor. He helped me improve immediately. I am very new to golf, and was swinging on top of the ball quite a bit. I was frustrated with hitting little dribbler shots. I don't seem to have that problem too much since training with Kevin. He helped me pick out new irons, my old set I bought off Craigslist and was missing clubs. The drills, the set-up, the swing are all improving my game. Looking forward to learning as much as I can through his instruction. read more

I am a 7 month old golfer and have been going to KP at The Golf Spot for about 2 months and have learned so much about the game. KP is like a doctor if a doctor had a giant screen where he could walk you through what ails you, why it ails you, and how to remedy it. He is a great teacher, communicator, and facilitator of the game. Before I went to KP, I felt pretty good about my swing. But boy has it been illuminating to see how much I wasn't doing and how much I could grow. He introduced me to core fundamentals I had never come across and he taught them in ways that no YouTube video could. He uses video, data, and examples to help convey his teachings. And what I appreciated most is that he personalizes everything to you. I am very happy with my progress and am motivated to keep going. Golf is a humbling, maddening, and rewarding sport. TGS has made it more accessible. I 100 percent recommend TGS. read more

My husband and I reserved a stall to play virtual golf last week. We had a great time and wouldn't hesitate to return. However, It would've been really helpful to have some sort of tips sheet or intro. Neither of us had played virtually before and most of our time was spent figuring out how things worked (ex: changing the club on the screen that we were going to hit with, etc). I totally understand there's probably not enough demand to have someone dedicated to this role in person, and I would never expect an instructor to step away from a lesson they're giving but our experience would've been better with some guidance or intro. Overall, happy to have this place in the area and hope it does well enough to expand! read more

I paid a guy who previously worked here a large amount of money for a package of lessons. I made it to about 3 lessons with him before he passed away unexpectedly. The people at golf spot were literally worthless in helping return the funds. I took a loss that was well over 1K!!! And not to mention...these lessons were the first lessons I ever paid for as a new golfer, the people at golf spot didn't even care. I was never offered any help from these people. All the guys that work here are SCAMS!!! I'd recommend going to a course and finding someone who will actually let you hit off real grass. This place is a joke. read more

I walked in hacking, slicing and having Chris wanting to wear catchers gear while I hit balls. I left making solid contact and feeling comfortable enough to play 18 holes. I just started swinging a golf club in January 2024 and after 4 lessons with Chris Curnutt, he had me years ahead of where I would've been if I had just kept hitting balls at the range. I would definitely recommend Chris for lessons and I'll be back soon for help with the almighty driver swing. read more

The golf spot is hands down the greatest golf lessons / improvement center I've been to in the Bay Area. Had a lesson with Kevin Paule. Hands down greatest teacher. He improved my iron game drastically in one hour. With approach and stance, hip movements, club path etc especially with the trackman, Kevin is by far humble and respectful in the ways he teaches and you end up just wanting more from it. Definitely learned a lot from him and had me leaving like I was ready for a local tournament asap. WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE / Kevin Paule as your instructor. You won't regret it read more

Trackman facility with great people running it! Craig is THE MAN! Not a cookie cutter coach thats going to throw a band-aid on issues in your swing. Breaks it all down and builds a swing that fits you. Everything is explained so you have the tools to get better. Couldn't give a higher recommendation! read more

The Golf Spot is a golfers dream. Coming from the Northern Bay Area, I've been a student of KP since 1/2021, I can say my knowledge, understanding and skill of the golf swing and game have been growing exponentially. Being in a fully immersive facility with state of the art equipment will only accentuate the talent KP brings to teaching the golf swing. I 110% recommend this place to anyone, from a rookie to a pro. I can't wait to continue learning from KP at The Golf Spot. read more

The Golf Spot - Coach KP practicing what he preaches, great coaching coming from an exceptional golfer. - Golf Lessons Near Me - Pleasant Hill, California

I've been taking lessons from Kevin for a few months now, and it's been a game changer. Literally. I'm finally taking my golf game seriously (I've been playing for fun off and on for years) and the progress I've made with Kevin continues to motivate me. He's an incredible coach. Articulate, observant, thoughtful, and highly skilled. To take it even further, the Trackman tech that Kevin now has at The Golf Spot is insane, allowing an incredible level of detail in understanding your swing mechanics, where/how you hit the ball, and more. This, in complement to Kevin's insights, takes your lessons to a whole new level. Plus, the place is dope and a killer spot to hang and practice your putting while you wait for your lesson. All of the coaches at TGS are legit, too. So if you're looking to improve your game or simply to get more serious about golf, definitely reach out to Kevin or Craig or anyone at TGS. Zero regrets! Level up!! Best spot in the Bay Area! read more

Kev is the best coach in the Bay Area hands down. He guided me from a 23 index with a dusty swing all the down to a 6 index in 2 years. Practicing at the golf spot has also been a big part to my golf game, having the access to the simulator helps me dial in my yardages, and view my swing with the help of the cameras they have set up in each bay. All the coaches there are welcoming l, very friendly place to work on your game or just have fun. read more

I moved out the Bay Area and my former instructor who I loved was too far of a drive to see anymore. Got a recommendation to reach out to Craig. Did my evaluation over the weekend and can't say enough about this place. My wife and son came in and the lobby area is perfect for them to hang out while I was there and the atmosphere was very laid back and welcoming. Craig checked out my swing and talked to me about goals and got to know me. He then jumped in with a couple of things to work on and next steps. There's no cookie cutter approach with him and I could tell right away. I am taller at 6'7 and he right away pointed out that a lot of the generic stuff won't work for me. I am excited to continue working on my game with Craig. read more

I've been casually playing golf for 15+ years. Last 5 years, I've been playing a bit more, 2-3 times a month but progress has been very slow, breaking 100 would be a decent day. I finally decided to take some lessons, found Kevin on Instagram, and scheduled a swing assessment. Kevin was responsive, super chill, and easy to talk to. Just from the first meeting, my swing was more consistent and the improvement was obvious. I was doing it all wrong. 3 lessons in and my whole outlook on my golf swing has changed. Since my first lesson, he's moved into a much larger space that's SICK!! He's rocking Trackman and the amount of info he presents you is insane. He's shows you what you're doing wrong, what you need to be doing, and how to get there. If you're deciding if you should buy new equipment or get lessons from Kevin, it's a no brainer. My only regret is I didn't get lessons from him sooner. read more

My first encounter started off with a swing assessment, from there he broke it all down. He took the time to establish a roadmap and timeline for my golf game (very beginner and new to the game, i'm also a Lefty!). He helped establish my goals and what I wanted to take away from these lessons. He caters each 1 hour lesson to my own individual game and progress. Kevin is very knowledgeable, also I've never see someone switch so easily between right and left handed golf instruction lol. I have a lot of friends and family that go to Kevin, I hear nothing but positive words about him. It really is a small world, a lot of the people I know who plays golf knows the name "Kevin Paule" Also The Golf Spot looks great inside! 2 instruction areas, a putting green, and waiting area. Check Kevin out to get your golf game started and/or improve that game! read more

The Golf Spot is without a doubt the best indoor golf training facility in the East Bay area! I get excited coming here when I have a lesson. I found Kevin not long ago and had only a few sessions yet my technique has improved a lot. He is helping me so much to build that solid golf swing. Kevin's instruction is very effective. He analyzes your swing and pinpoints what I need to work on. Then he shows a simple drill that can be applied. It works like a charm every time! Kevin is a coach who is knowledgeable, approachable, and enthusiastic. I'm excited to continue learning from him to achieve that perfect golf swing. read more

I've been taking lessons from Kevin for about 9 months now and prior to that having been playing golf for a little over 2 years (as a lefty). I already knew my swing needed a lot of work but Kevin's ability to break down my swing, coach me on the basics and build a solid swing foundation is exactly what I needed. He has all the qualities I'd look for in an instructor: knowledgeable, patient and concise. I started out at the previous Walnut Creek location, but The Golf Spot (coupled with Trackman) takes our lessons to the next level. Leveraging Kevin's knowledge and mental approach to the game while simultaneously receiving instant swing feedback (via Trackman) is exactly what I need to become a better golfer. Regardless of whether you're new to the game or having been playing golf your whole life, I STRONGLY recommend taking lessons here if you want to take your game to the next level! read more

I have been working on my game by myself since I started in 2015 thinking over time and YouTube, Reddit, and friends could get me where I wanted. I was constantly spending $$$$ on the newest clubs thinking it would help my game. But believe me it's not cool having the newest gear and still playing bad!! Pleaseeee take it from me, spend that money on lessons!! Worked with coach Kevin and I must say it's been the most progress I've seen in just a short amount of time. I ended up buying a pack of lessons and went from shooting in the 130s to consistently breaking 100. Each lesson you learn more and build on your game I wish I started lessons sooner!!! The Golf Spot has all the tech and feedback you need to improve your game at whatever stage you are at. All the instructors are super cool and they are available to make your game better!! Sooooo if you are about to get the newest driver or bout to spend any money on clubs, balls, etc. Save it for lessons and thank me later!!! Thank you again KP for everything!! Here's to the next goal of breaking 90, then 80!! Gonna get there one lesson at a time!!!! ‍ read more

The Golf Spot - Practice greens + full simulator bays = golf gains!! - Golf Lessons Near Me - Pleasant Hill, California

I am a beginner and went to Craig White. Craig White is the best coach that I have had. He observes the swing motions carefully and taught specific techniques to correct or improve. He is very patient and encouraging. He is also very charismatic, so the lessons went by very fast. I progressed a lot from having zero background. I would strongly recommend Craig White to anyone who is interested in learning golf from all levels. read more

Been going to see Craig for lessons for about 3 months now. He's completely transformed my swing. More consistency, more length, and more confidence over the ball when I play now. You'll get great detailed instruction breaking down what you need to work on using the trackman data and video breakdown of your swing positions and leave with a plan for what to work on until your next lesson. On top of that Craig and Kevin are both incredibly nice and fun people to be around and learn from. Can not recommend getting started here enough whether you're a beginner or a long time player looking to shave a stroke or 2 off your handicap. read more

Kevin Paule is a great teacher. He not only helps with physical aspect of the golf swing, he also helps with mental aspect of the golf swing which as we all know is practically 90% of golf! I had 'stage fright' when I kept fatting the ball, losing distance, losing golf balls every round. Kevin helped me gain my confidence back. I have had golf lessons before but have never been shown each aspect of the golf swing from the feet on up...GAME CHANGER!! Since taking lessons from Kevin, I am hitting the ball farther with ALL my clubs. I love the game of golf even more. Thank you Kevin Paule!! Linda Tsai read more

I'm only a few lessons in, but can already feel a huge change in the efficiency and consistency in my swing since I first started working with Craig at The Golf Spot. I've taken golf lessons from other coaches, but none with such a modern approach - Craig uses video, Trackman, and other training aides in really effective ways to help make just the right amount of change in your mechanics vs. trying to break everything down and start over. With other lessons I've often found that things "click" during the lesson, but then when I get back to the range or course I have no idea what to do to reproduce that feeling. Craig does the work to send you home with "homework" - swing thoughts, drills to practice, etc so you can actually improve when you practice, and will quickly respond in the CoachNow app with tips if you send video of your practice sessions. Plus, the vibe in this place is amazing - not your typical stuffy golf outfit. read more

I came to Kevin knowing nothing about hitting a golf ball, but after just a handful of classes I'm now able to make consistent contact and get some decent air and distance on them. His attention to details is great, he breaks each step down to a T, has drills to help practice your swing and his high end equipment can give you great insight on every aspect of your swing and point of contact with the ball. This is easily the best place to go if you want to take your game to the next level. read more

This is the future of golf lessons. Kevin has created a revolutionary new vibe that is cool and different. The new shop is every golfer's dream "golf-cave" setup with the best tracking equipment available. I learn so much from Kevin each lesson. I was a lost puppy before taking the step to get proper instruction. Kevin came highly recommended by 2 good friends and I only wish I would have started the journey sooner. read more

Started working with Kevin on my golf swing last year when I decided to take golf as an activity during the pandemic. Placed me on the right track from the bad habits I formed. Definitely would recommend for any beginner so you don't develop any bad habits. Even for experienced players, the diagnostic tools this place has can analyze every part of your swing and dial you right to your goals. read more

TGS is thee spot for anyone trying to improve their game. I've known KP since our high school days and it amazes me how far he's come along to reach his dream. He will get your swing gucci if you are willing to put in the work. He's help me get back into golf and be as good as I am today. S/O to Ninja & Christian too for opening up such a sick golf facility. They have two full screen bays with trackman technology (play Pebble or compare yourself to a PGA pro) and a good size practice putting green. Now, on to the facilities at the Golf Spot - they have a large practice putting green (with ~6 pins) and two Trackman bays. This was my first time using the Trackman and the technology is amazing. I recently got serious with my golf game and decided to go all-in and prepaid 15 lessons with Kevin Paule (KP). He was recommended to me by a coworker who was constantly taking my lunch money on the golf course, so I decided it was time to take it back. After three lessons within about 2 months and a little bit of practice on what I learned from the lessons with KP, I was striking the ball the best I've ever been. I carded a personal record with an 81 at a local course and a 33 on a par 30 9 hole. I also scored my second ever eagle on a short par 4 (258) with my 3 wood from the tee. My three wood before KP never flew over 250 and usually got me into trouble when I got the courage to try to play it. If you want to break your PR or learn the game for the first time, KP's simple concepts and easy-to-grasp teaching style will take you there. It also doesn't hurt that his new state-of-the-art facility is every golfer's dream man cave. I can't wait until it's fully open for the public! Don't hesitate and book your lessons; just leave some time slots for me! read more

Our son has been taking lessons from Craig. To say there's been improvement his game would be an understatement. Our son literally improves after every lesson...which is just so cool. The tech (which is state of the art and just so damn fun) coupled with the ability to teach from both Kevin and Craig, is exactly why we just signed on for 10 more. We played 18 holes last weekend and my 12 year old was shooting 5d and 6s. I wasn't lol, but he was. Blew my mind. Our boy trusts Craig. Big deal. The technology really is unbelievable. The simulator they run is like...I don't know...the future(?). After the last lesson my kid played three holes at Pebble Beach! Virtually, but still. It's beautiful really... Everything is filmed and brought back in real time so they can see exactly what's going wrong and what's going right. It all happens in really time...and then those same recordings are sent to you (and your kid) for reference and to study. You don't have to, but the fact that you have all that is really valuable. It's modern professional level golf instruction. read more
