That fact that some a** gave this place a poor review because he was an idiot, is actually insulting to this process. I thought I would jump on the review train and let everyone know that this place, despite being a 9-hole course, is one of the most well kept, friendly and welcoming course in the area. Every single thing that people have complimented is absolutely a FACT. But what isn't being said is what this place is doing for the game of golf and the golfing community. I have played golf (not very well) for 40 years. I had taken about a 13-year break and lost interest until Father's Day last year. My son-in-law, who had never swung a club, wanted to go try out a range. We dug my clubs out of the shed, cleaned them up and headed to Skylinks. I had never been, and just remembered how drab the place looked a few years ago. We showed up, walked into the club house, got a bucket of beers, a bucket of balls and headed out. I was blown away by how friendly and customer-oriented the staff was. We both had a great time, hitting the sticks, drinking some beers. The next day, the son in law bought a set of clubs and later that week, we brought our wives with us and they thought the atmosphere was great. That weekend, we played a round at Skylinks. No pressure. So much fun. Since then, we have both taken to golf. We have played multiple times after work. Played a host of courses in the area. We played in a charity tournament. We have even played in Hawaii and Mexico. Thanks to Skylinks, I am officially a golfer. And, I couldn't be happier. read more

I was in the area killing time and decided to give Skylinks a try today to hit a few balls at the range, so I'm not commenting on the 9 hole course. Skylinks was an interesting place. I wish they had one similar where I live in the North Bay. One thing I noticed was all the parents bring their kids to hit some give golf a go. This place seems very kid friendly, especially when the bouncy houses are open. There are an abundant amount of bays at the range, so there is room for everyone. I like the self dispensing machine. Just tap your card, select your bucket size and whack away. I also liked the bucket w/ extra plastic tees...just in case your bay is missing the tee. Music was a nice touch as well. My only gripe...the range was too busy with signs, flags, 1000's of balls all over the grass. It was a bit of a distraction in trying to find the flight of my ball at times. Very small issue. I didn't go into the "clubhouse" so I have no idea what that was about. The food truck wasn't open. This place still rocked though. Odds are I won't be back, but I will remember this place fondly and wonder why I haven't seen another like it anywhere else...especially in the Santa Rosa area. read more

This course has a new owner and he has been doing a to turnaround the course. The grounds of the course still need a bit of work but it's leaps and bounds better than it once was. The driving range is fun with live dj music on Friday and Saturdays and it's great for families and groups of friends. They have made this place very family friendly with large bounce houses, a little putting area and a food truck. read more

If you're expecting a super uptight, quiet, traditional golf environment--this might not be your place. But if you want something welcoming, laid-back, and fun, Skylinks is honestly great. The vibe here is the complete opposite of stuffy. Everyone is friendly and inclusive, and they even have a posted rule that says something along the lines of: bad golfers allowed, bad attitudes not. That pretty much sums it up. They have around 50 driving range bays, and one of the coolest things is that ppl volunteer to paint them--I actually am painting one myself (if you ever see a unfinished Pokemon bay... that's me ). There are plenty of places to sit and relax too, which makes it great if you're sharing a bay with friends or just hanging out. It's also dog-friendly, which is a huge plus--we bring our dogs sometimes and it's always a good time. They have food on-site, and the space is extremely family- and kid-friendly. On weekends, they even have free inflatables for kids, which is such a nice touch. In the summer, they host Live Music Fridays, and overall it really feels like a community hangout rather than just a golf course. They also have a 9-hole course that's very affordable and beginner-friendly. It's not the most scenic course, but it's accessible and great for newer players. The only downside for me is that tee times are spaced pretty close together (about 10 minutes apart), which can sometimes feel a little rushed--especially on busy days. I play ready golf and try to keep things moving, but there can be a bit of pressure when it's crowded. That said, memberships here are surprisingly affordable, which makes it an easy place to come back to regularly. Overall, Skylinks is fun, casual, inclusive, and approachable. Get 200 balls for $20, solid deal. I often go with a buddy and split it or gift some when I'm done. Haven't brought my kids yet but they have fun events and places for them to play which is nice. This review is for the Range/Venue Area. Checked out this place casually on a Friday night with some friends and it was awesome. The perfect place to practice your swing, hang out with family, warm up for your round, or just drink and have some good food while listening to a DJ. PLENTY of stalls just get there early enough as the wait time may get longer with people trickling in more around 7pm-9pm on a Friday. Plenty of parking too with a short walk. My favorite part.. a jumbo bucket gets you 200 balls! At my regular range in the peninsula its $17 for 117 balls... this definitely entices me to make the drive from SF to practice here knowing the amenities are a plus. If you have kids they have a jump and play area for them. A kids putting area too for fun. All I mentioned above is right next to the actual golf course where there is also a professional putting green. One thing id love for them to add is stadium lights to the driving range. I was hitting my woods and driver 250+ yards and would lose sight after the 200 yards marker. If this place puts stadium lights Top Golf may have some problems. Also, business would be booming more if they affilated with Top Tracer! I would come on a daily basis from SF haha. Tbh this is a much more inexpensive option than TG and everything is more affordable! I'm making it out on Fridays! read more

1st time visit. Walked in and got out within minutes n a Friday morning. 9 hole course is in a B- to C condition. Lots of dried out areas on tee boxes, fairways and greens. $25 is a bit pricey for these conditions. Flat course that's really meant for I be walked. The carts and cart paths do not make sense on a short course like this. Lots of hitting bays on the range. Environment is lively with music and kids games. They did a good job with the vibe. Seems like a fun place to hang out. Overall, they offer a fun time for different ages. Lots of parking. read more

My family and I have gone twice so far, exclusively for the family friendly areas with the bounce houses. We also enjoyed the food truck and the cold drinks in the shop. The first time we went was great. The dragon bounce house was inflated and the size of the thing offset the amount of kids that were there. It didn't feel out of control, and it was a little more peaceful. Today, the dragon bounce house was deflated, because the bigger kids there were just destroying it. Not with malicious intent I'm sure, but these bounce houses are really not made for teenagers. Since the dragon bounce house was down, the big kids moved on to the remaining two bounce houses that are not even comparable in size to the dragon one. The big kids dominated the bounce houses, which made the smaller kids nervous. It was unsafe for the littles. Parents of the bigger kids were completely checked out and paying no mind to their out of control kids that were knocking over the smaller bounce houses. Additionally, you had big kids climbing on top of the roofs of the small play houses, which I was hoping my 11 month old could play in. No way would it have been safe with the much older boys literally jumping from the top of one roof to another. This place is so incredible, and highlights more of what we need in the area. We definitely need the dragon bounce house repaired, and absolutely need better safety measures to keep the smaller kids safe amongst the bigger ones. Parents need to be better about watching their kids, and perhaps an additional staff member can be assigned to the play area- making sure the big kids aren't destroying the bounce houses that they shouldn't be on anyways. read more

This really sets it apart from other local practice facilities. The Clubhouse is comfortable, and while dining options can vary, they maintain a very good selection of drinks and beers. It serves its purpose well as a central gathering point. In terms of logistics, Parking is generally easy to manage and free. Be advised that during high-traffic times (weekend afternoons), the lot can certainly get full, which speaks to the venue's growing popularity. Overall, Skylinks is a fun place to be. It is a little old and some of the equipment could be fixed. There is no tracking. But it's a great value and people are nice. The upgrades to the range and the focus on making it family-friendly have definitely succeeded in creating a welcoming and functional community golf center. read more

I highly recommend this driving range. I haven't tried the golf course, but I go to the driving range, all the time. I went with zero experience and no golf clubs and I was even able to borrow one of those from the shop.. I go with my kids. Sometimes I even go by myself and it is just an amazing way to have a great time and not spend that much money.. but also, if you do feel like spending a little bit, they've got drinks and food and wonderful things for the kids. It's honestly such a perfect place to go to with family & friends. It makes it an easy outing since there's so many different things people can do. There's a delicious Mexican food truck too! I couldn't find anywhere what the hours of the food truck were so I took a pic for others. It's every day except Monday 11-5! We've also reserved here for a party too and it was great!! This place is not what I expected driving by every day! You can come here and just casually hit some balls onto the field or use the driving range. I came here not knowing how to play a lick of golf and ended up having so much fun! If you forget your clubs they have loaners. It is pretty reasonable what you pay for balls. It is such a relaxing time. During the evenings you are in the shade and can catch a nice sunset. Drinks and snacks are served in the main area where you buy the balls. There is also an outdoor area where you can use your credit card to buy balls and use their baskets. Soft couches and benches to relax while you have fun. They are not sticklers with what you bring in either. We only brought in water but it seems you can bring snacks if you wish. Free ample parking as well! They have done an amazing job of revamping everything, the course is well taken care of, the staff is great, there are 75 bays at the range, nice putting and chipping areas, and my favorite part is the family atmosphere. So many kids running around being introduced to the game. I try to come here at least 1 time per week. I love that I can go after work and still get a full 9 holes in. Bruh....this place has come a LONG way! I've been coming to Buchanan Golf Course, which is now Sky Links, for a while now, and with my numerous check-ins, I can confidently say this spot is legit. They really renovated everything, and it shows. I come here to practice, chill, and escape the everyday stress just me, my clubs, and the sweet sound of drivers and irons smashing golf balls. There's something about being out here, talking to people about golf swings, trying to correct mine (or pretend I know what I'm doing lol) that makes this place chill & relaxing Weekends? This place is CRACKIN'! So many people are out here enjoying the weather, and it's awesome to see how much busier it's gotten. Plus, they actually have stuff for kids now, which they never had before. Definitely a solid move. If you're looking for a place to work on your swing, vibe out, or just enjoy the course, this is it. They allow a lot of kids who are just hacking away, don't have a marshall, etc. And the greens are atrocious, barely usable - worst of any course I've seen. if you want to hack around, this is fine. and if they'd repair the greens, I'd give it an acceptable rating. I used to really enjoy coming to Skylinks at Buchanan Fields. The improvements over the past few years--especially to the driving range--have been great, and it was exciting to see the facility getting new life and attracting more people. That said, the range experience has recently become frustrating. I completely support the effort to make Skylinks more family-friendly and welcoming to a wider audience. But lately it feels like the pendulum has swung too far away from being a place where people can actually practice golf. On several visits, I've seen range bays occupied for extremely long stretches by people doing everything except hitting balls--eating meals, reading newspapers, hanging out socially, etc. Meanwhile, others who came specifically to practice are waiting around for a spot. It's discouraging when you come with the intention of working on your game but can't get access to the range. This seems like a policy issue that could be easily addressed. Implementing reasonable time limits for range bays during busy periods would go a long way toward making the experience fair for everyone. Many ranges already do this successfully. Skylinks has done a lot of great work revitalizing the facility, and I'd love to see that momentum continue. A few adjustments to how range time is managed would help ensure the space works well both for social visitors and for golfers who are there to practice. read more

Needed some work on my short game and the Skylinks is the perfect place to do so. If you haven't played here or gone to the driving range recently, you're in for a pleasant surprise. We booked online and checked in easily. The pro shop staff is very friendly btw! Teed off on the first hole. Wasn't backed up, even tho there was multiple foursomes ahead of us. Tee box was neat and clean. I think the yellow broken tee funnels help. Fairways and greens were in good shape. OOB wasn't crazy messy so it's not a ball-eating course. Good mix of short par 4's and 3's. Wish I could say I did really well, but... you know how it goes. Lost my putter cover on hole 4 but I'm hoping someone turns it in. Skylinks was previously called Buchanan Fields Golf Course. It was in utter disrepair when the new owners stepped in 2023. The new owners have completely revamped this course and practice facility. They've expended a lot of effort, time, and I'm sure, money, in improving it. The course is well maintained, flat, and generally not difficult. As such, it's meant for casual, fun, play and is ideal for families, beginners, and seniors. It's easily walkable. It has 9 holes which include some shortish par 4s. The practice facility includes a short game green for chipping and bunker play. There's a separate putting green too. The driving range is expansive with good quality mats and balls. Music, mostly pop, is played through loudspeakers on the range. They've developed a kid's area with a bounce house and a field for kids to play directly adjacent to the range and a big patio. Lots of families patronize it. People rent the range stalls for parties. Food and drink is available. Birdie, an awesome and cool Black Lab, trots around the place. The staff are nice but if you're just hitting range balls you can just buy them with a credit card at the ball dispensing machine. Prices are reasonable. I practice at Skylinks 2-3 times weekly. It's great place and the new owners have done a heck of a job in refurbishing and updating it. read more

My wife and I play here once a week we see improvements every time we come. Great place for a fun round very family friendly.
