Hi everybody I don't know jack about golfing. I couldn't tell one club from the other. We don't know where to put the tee in the carpet we don't know how to hold the club. Literally my son and I checked out some YouTube and then thought I wonder if we could just go over to the driving range and just hit some balls. We went to this facility the young men working here were highly professional very helpful and loaned us a golf club they were great! Super helpful. They have great personalities and made a whole experience that much more enjoyable. We went over to the machine and we laughed our asses off when the bucket wasn't close enough and the balls were flying all over the place. We went to our Lane I sat in a swinging chair they have and watched my son hit those balls like a hot shot. We laughed at each other and thought man this is a lot of balls we have to hit we should've got a smaller basket. Some balls went to the left some to the right some went straight up and some never left the tee. But we pretended to know what we were doing we laughed so hard and had such a great time this place is outstanding. We probably won't take lessons but we're going to come back many times just to let off some steam and enjoy a beautiful sunset. read more

I really enjoy my practice time here. Staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable for practice balls. Plenty of stalls and I really like the stalls with the uneven lies. Not many places have that. Good short game areas although the practice green has a slope that's a bit too extreme. 30% of the green is unputtable. Other than that, it's a great place to get some good practice. Located right next to the freeway, so very easy to get to. read more

Very friendly environment to just relax and hit some golf balls. Plenty of room to play away from people because there are so many lanes to hit from. Also the area is very clean, and new looking with a relaxing view of the Valley. Will be coming back often. read more

This was my first time at a range or golfing for that matter and Charlie was a very kind individual who guides us how to pick a good club and how to use the ball machine. Ed Sheeran/Connor McGregor (Charlie) was very nice when me and a couple buddies came in. It was my first time ever golfing and he gave us really good tips on how to swing and use the clubs. Yikes. Just came in to hit a small bucket of balls. Wasn't prepared for the high pressure sales pitch. I wanted the $21.00 package they advertised on the board. Young lady at the counter basically told me I'd be stupid to buy that and I should buy their $50.00 deal instead. WTF. I've been playing golf for 50 years and have never been treated so rudely. You guys need to rethink your customer service. The clerk was really rude!! read more

For staters, the chubby lady in the shop was pretty rude. I asked how many balls were in a medium bucket and she just pointed to a sign hanging in the window. So ok, i want a medium size bucket and all I had was a twenty dollar bill and she asked if I had anything smaller. Had to tell her no twice. Then she asked if I needed a tee and told me I had to buy one. One of those shitty rubber ones! I asked if they had any place there where I could stick my own peg in the ground and her short curt answer was no! I said forget this and left. Won't be going back there! read more

Scene the place from the freeway for years, looks cool at night. Made the drive up from Pasadena to Moorpark, wanted to take advantage of the windy conditions. The winds are tricky up there. Love the layout of the range, lots of stalls and if your lucky to grab a stall with the alignment mats your set. Putting green is natural grass but it's fast, not what you will find on the course, love the slopes of it. Now the range, the astroturf sucks your ball will never stop where it lands or even give you a true rollout for your shot. But if you are looking to work on shot trajectory, shape, flight, or just want to bang a bucket of balls it's cool place. Prices are what the market is, they even have a jumbo bucket which not many places offer. I would go back. Staff is nice. 3/5 rating is because of the astroturf range if they had grass range definitely 5/5. read more

i stopped by the golf complex to hit some balls. i still had some credit on my prepaid golf key from the previous owner Tom Barber. My key didn't work so i went into the office to ask why. i was told that the key was no longer usable as all memberships and prepaid keys were not being honored. i find this regretable as most business would honor previous customer agreements it is golf balls after all. so i agree with Ryan M this lot have no business acumen. read more

I'm not a good golfer at all. I bought a set of used clubs online for 80.00 and my son and I can come here for 30 mins and we just get the 15.00 bucket of balls and we're done. We ususlly come at least 1x a week. They keep it clean. I used to like to auto-ball feeder but I don't see them anymore. read more

I was never into golf and this was my first introduction. The staff was very helpful , explained how things work , price was very reasonable and we got around 120 balls for 10$ I think . It was great way to spend time and hang out and get intoduced to golf. read more

I purchased a key for $150 from Tom Barber, which is now Golf Development Complex. When I went into use it this past week, I was told that they are not honoring anymore and that they would call me back. Needless to say, I never received a call. I stopped by again to find my key still sitting in the top drawer and was told they are not honoring. I asked why the owner didn't call and was given a card. The owner called me back after receiving my message and reinforced their stance and frankly was extremely rude about it. I will never use this driving range again and will be sure to tell everyone about my poor experience. It truly is not about the money, but about the poor experience and how it was handled. By honoring the key, they would have gained much more credibility and wouldn't have cost them, but the use of their balls. Instead, they lost a customer.i read more

This is a great practice facility! All kinds of different mat surfaces to hit from, covered stations, mats with different elevations and angles, great array of yardage targets. This is the best driving in Ventura County. They are the place I have ever been to that has a place to practice full shots on uphill, side hill and down hill lies. They also have a ton of targets to aim at and most importantly they don't use limited range balls like another range in the area. Great service and good golf balls to hit. read more

This is just a great practice facility. The balls are new and top notch. The range is well marked, making it perfect for distance practicing, even as short as 20 yards. The mats are not your traditional hard mats - you can get a real feel for the ball, even though you're not hitting on grass. Shaded hitting areas work great when it's sunny, too, and if you don't like the heat, wait until the night. It's just about everything you'd want if you're trying to work on your game. read more

I only golf occasionally so have not been here for a while. Unfortunately, attendant on duty tonight did not honor my old range keys which had some significant value. I know that it's probably out of his control but he was so staunch that he did not even compromise on anything! So I was "this" close to leaving this place but decided otherwise and just get some balls to get ready for our annual corporate golf tournament (paid full price of course). Would've given only 1 star but the range was not crowded and it also has a pitching/chipping and putting areas. Oh yeah, btw, they have a deal for a discounted bucket if a Yelp review is submitted, so maybe I can show this and finally get a discounted bucket? read more

Saw on yelp that this place was offering if you check in then you get a half bucket off balls for free, so I checked in and it said redeem my free half bucket but the guy at the front insisted it was leave a good review to get the free half bucket even though my phone clearly said redeem half bucket by checking in so I'm not sure if he can't read or what so I just paid for it regardless. read more

First time here since it's been under new ownership. Love what they did to the driving range. Like the new driving range mats. (No longer automatic tees.) Also I like the additional targets on the driving range. You can really practice your short game here. You can dial in your distances for your wedges. Also saw they have stalls for different lies you may encounter on the course -- downhill, sidehill lies, etc. They also have specials going on now. In addition, I like coming here as they have a lot of stalls with shade covering overhead. Nice to have in the summer. Also there's a nice view out to the hills of Moorpark and the freeway. Rates are a cheaper than the driving range at the golf course across the street. read more
