During a big golf trip two years ago, I developed a major shank in my irons and had lost all confidence in my game. I was back to three digit scores and would celebrate if I broke 100. I took a break and finally decided to seriously consider lessons. I found Laurent through TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) as he was one of the highest rated teachers in the area. I went in for an assessment and in that session alone he was able to address some things that had me go from shank to baby draws at the end. I signed up for a lesson package that consisted of 5x two hour lessons. In my first and only lesson, we focused on iron shots and permanently removing the shank. He tried many different approaches to get me to address my problem and we used the entire two hours to find the right fix. After the lesson, he texted me a practice plan with a breakdown of the drills I needed to do every day. His follow-up and willingness to put in the extra effort in communication outside of the lesson shows he cares and see this as a team effort. He holds you accountable for the effort and discipline needed to succeed. This is where the value of his coaching style stands out, you get way more than you pay for. Rather than go back in for a second lesson, I focused on the drills and implementing what we worked on in my game. I did this all summer on a regular basis. I'm now consistently shooting in the 80's and my playing buddies have noticed the difference. This with just one iron lesson. I'm now anxious to go back and work on some of my iron misses and start working on woods. On top of all the great coaching, he also shows a lot of interest in me personally and has helped me connect with other folks in his network. I feel fortunate to have found him and to be a part of Team Laurent!

I had assumed that would be a personalized plan on how we would improve my game. But it was just a list of his rates for different ranges of people. I'm sure the same thing he sends to everyone. If that was all he was going to send, why not just give me that info before the assessment? Also, I understand this is an assessment and not a lesson but I think the assessment is not only for him to assess me but for me to gauge how I like his teaching style. Alas, I didn't get any comment on my swing or what he would be trying to improve. So I asked him over text what his plan for me was but he ignored the question and just responded with something about not competing with youtube or range "pros". edit(Response to his comment): Nothing I said is incorrect. You are right you sent me your rates on Sept 24th 2022 at 12:54pm. That is AFTER the assessment @9am on the same day. I've attached our texts as proof. When I checked in, Dave at the front desk told me I would still be paired with other players. I explained that I had no issue being paired if someone had actually booked the same tee time, but I did not understand why the course would force a pairing when the other spots had remained unbooked. The starter, Rick, was extremely dismissive and rude. His response was essentially that if I wanted the tee time to myself, I should have paid for all four spots. That policy was not clearly stated during the online booking process, and the way he communicated it was unnecessarily confrontational and disrespectful. Unfortunately, this was not an isolated impression. I have experienced the same arrogant and unfriendly attitude from other staff members here, including employees at the driving range. I genuinely do not understand where this attitude comes from. It is a shame because Oak Creek is a very nice golf course. The course itself deserves a much better customer experience, but the attitude and professionalism of some of the staff seriously undermine it. I can't say enough good about Jay Lim's Pure Impact Golf Instruction. In the 15 years since I started playing golf (at age 50), I have taken many lessons from other instructors all over Orange County, spent a lot of money, hit countless thousands of practice balls on driving and pitching ranges and still couldn't hit below the low 90s. After hacking up a golf course, often overswinging and hitting two to six inches fat three or four times per game, my upper body would feel like it had been in a car wreck. My neck and back were always stiff and sore. I was ready to give up but decided to to try one more instructor before putting my golf clubs in cold storage. Fortunately, I found Jay Lim on the Internet and something about his sales presentation impressed me. I have taken four lessons from him now and plan to take the rest of his series. He is the best intructor I have ever had. When he teaches me something, I can repeat it long after the lesson. Not so with any of my previous instructors. He started by correcting my stance, which was way off. Since my neck and back pain have gone away since then, I suspect poor stance was causing them. I had abandoned my 60 degree lob wedge many years ago, believing it was impossible to chip with. I can now hit my new 60 degree lob wedge effectively and often chip on within a few feet of the hole with it after just one lesson from Jay. I had given up trying to start my down-swing with lower body motion and Jay had me doing it consistently after one lesson. You have to master this if you want to consistently hit the ball straight and far. I just got my first hole in one at the 16th hole of Oak Creek in Irvine. It is a 199 yard par 3 (hitting an Adams Tight Lies 3 wood off the tee). I never even came close to a hole in one before the lessons with Jay. I just sank a green-side sand trap shot at Goose Creek, Mira Loma with my 60 degree lob wedge. First time for that also. That same day, I birdied the 18th at Goose Creek (#1 handicap), something I could only dream of doing before Jay's lessons. I am now hitting far more fairways with my driver than I used to. All thanks to Jay. Also, his fees are far less than most of the other instructors. I now have a lot of confidence that I can consistently shoot in the 80s if I keep working at it. I may not need many more lessons, but if I do, I will go to Jay Lim. His phone # is 714-225-5805 His e-mail is www.JAYLIMGOLF.com read more

I recently had the pleasure of taking golf lessons from an exceptional instructor named Josh, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. From the very first lesson, it was clear that Josh was not only highly knowledgeable about the game of golf, but also incredibly passionate about teaching others how to improve their skills and enjoy the sport. One of the things that sets Josh apart as an instructor is his ability to explain complex concepts in a way that is easy to understand and apply on the course. He takes a personalized approach to instruction, taking the time to assess each student's strengths and weaknesses and tailoring his lessons accordingly. He also provides clear, actionable feedback and drills that help students make real progress in their game. Perhaps most importantly, Josh is an absolute pleasure to work with. He has a friendly, approachable demeanor that immediately puts students at ease, and he creates a relaxed, supportive environment that makes learning fun and enjoyable. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced golfer looking to take your game to the next level, Josh is the perfect instructor to help you achieve your goals. Overall, I cannot recommend Josh highly enough. His combination of expertise, passion, and personal touch make him one of the best golf instructors I've had the pleasure of working with, and I'm grateful for the progress he's helped me make in my game. If you're looking for a skilled and supportive golf instructor who truly cares about his students, look no further than Josh. read more

8/1/2018 After several years absence from the game, I decided to play again. I worked on getting my swing back but, hit a wall and needed lessons. I researched several pros until I came across Golf Code 360. I was a little skeptical but impressed at the same time. If you have ever studied the game of golf you can seen immediately from the students in their videos they know how to teach. Each student in their videos is in a good position when they swing. So I decided to purchased my first lesson with a Groupon what did I have to lose? The first thing Max asked was how tight I was gripping the club. I was strangling it for sure but, I was amazed he was able to see that just by my swing so, I bought 6 lessons. I couldn't be happier. Bio-Mechanics may sound a little Sci-Fi for golf and perhaps too complicated but, the opposite couldn't be more true. Take a lesson from Max. He will break down the swing is such a simple way you will improve not in months but weeks. Thank you Max you have made golf fun again. Andrea read more

Prior to my moving to Portand, Oregon, I was given a free lesson by my brother-in-law with Jay. What followed were a full set of lessons and the best experience I have had with a golf professional. Jay was patient, understanding of my problems and the result has been the best golf I have ever played since taking up the game. I used to shoot btn the high 90's and up. Now I can shoot into the mid 80's. Even on a bad day I can craft shots I never thought possible. Ask Jay about using a 60 degree wedge! It will change you game forever. I am keeping it a secret up here in Oregon and my player partners are amazed how close I can put the ball to the hole. So do not hesitate and get over to Jay if you want truly great results..His techniques are easy to learn and they work!!!! PS. I have played Peeble Beach since those lessions and shot an 88 with a hole in one on number 12. I was looking for a place to help my game out. I had hit a plateau in my development and wanted to find a change. I touched base with Josh and he was instrumental in teaching me fundamentals about my swing and how I can improve. I have to say his lessons have completely transformed my game. I improved four strokes on my handicap after five lessons. I continue to work on my development through his advice and teachings to acheive the next level of where I would like to be as a golfer. His analytical approach has helped me look at the game differently and play it with much more confidence, even on my bad days. I absolutely would recommend Josh to anyone who is looking to improve their fundamentals or any aspect of their game. His lessons are worthy of praise and are game changing! read more

If you really want to get good at your golf game. Go to these guys! I live in Hawaii and I only get little portion of instructions from the free videos/post they have and it literally has made my game better. When your golf game is better, it's a lot more enjoyable. Having a repeatable swing and not having to second guess your self prior to hitting the ball is the best feeling. I can not wait to be able to take an actual lesson. If I can get better from just looking at videos and post, It gets me excited to see where my game can go with physical instruction. So, if you're in the mainland and wanna get GOOD at golf, before you even hit your next ball on your own. Get some wisdom from GolfCode360 first. Mahalo read more

I had to wait about a week and a half for my first lesson but it was totally worth it! I've been to a few instructors and no one was able to explain, demonstrate and teach like Jay. I had a playing lesson with him recently and it was really eye opening to see how easy golf can be. He hit the fairway, hit the green and 1 or 2 putts for par or birdie. After 9 holes, he was 2 under and didn't do anything spectacular! Being able to see someone score under par makes it seem a lot more "do-able" than before. I honestly think he's one of the best kept secrets in the business. Not going to be long before he's known on a national level. I just wish I started lessons with him sooner. read more

I went to s Jay a few months ago, he understands the swing. I was a lost soul with my old golf swing, couldnt break 100. What a difference, even my friends tell me I hit the ball alot better. I recently have had 4 rounds in the 80s and shot my lowest 83 at eagle glen. Rating 4/5 Stars…read more Overview This would be 5 stars if the chipping area was bigger and people fixed their divots. Overall, it is a great practice course for a par 3 and a great price for a 9-hole. The course is challenging enough to work on all approach shots and avoiding hazards, and the two par 4s are great for practice with a 3-wood, mini driver, or driver. The Good It allows you to work on almost all facets of golf for a par 3 course that's a 9-hole. Also, the greens have some hills that will make even a scratch golfer rethink their line. While the driving range isn't the best, the putting green is great for practice due to the slopes. They also allow chipping around the green, but it is in a very limited space. The Bad The greens could be a little more taken care of, and the divots desperately need to be filled. Because it is an affordable public practice course, it unfortunately means there are divots everywhere. Personal Thoughts/Experience If I could, I would play this course 2-3 times during the week, and save the nice courses for the weekend.

In one lesson with David (so far) I learned several things to improve my swing mechanics and was hitting the ball straighter and longer than I ever have in the past. Mike Williams Golf Instructor

Mike Williams is a phenomenal swing instructor. I have been working with Mike for over 6 months on…read morea complete swing overhaul. Quick background, I have been golfing for over 20 years and prior to working with Mike I felt I was playing good golf, but had lost quite a bit of yardage and could not figure out what had changed. I had worked with a few different instructors and did not care for their teaching styles or philosophies while trying to find my way. After my initial meeting with Mike I felt this is someone who was going to take me in the right direction. Since I knew this was going to be a complete overhaul from rotation to swing plane to mentality, it was going to have to be a total commitment. The first couple of months was complete frustration as we worked to remove bad muscle memory. First we started with chipping and wedges to create a proper grip, take away and balance. As we graduated to a full swing we moved into greater detail about weight transition, shoulder turn (down not around), and hip movement (out not away). During these first few months, my game was bad and I was beyond frustrated almost to the point of giving up. But I knew this would happen from the outset and had to stay focused. This to me was part of the mental aspect and sticking to a firm commitment I had to my game improvement and to Mike's philosophy. As my game began to finally improve I was starting to play consistently good golf (back into the low 80's again). Mike saw that I became stagnant in some of my swing habits and reminded me that because I was playing good golf I was accepting these habits. He "forced" me to step up my game and not just accept my bad muscle memory, but work on correcting it and that I could do better. Within a couple of months I was then shooting constantly in the 70's. My experience with Mike is that if are willing to make the commitment to your game through hard work and practice he will be there to push you and not let you settle for anything less. He is extremely knowledgeable in the details and how to work with you on correcting them and he knows that there is not a one swing fits all. But, he also knows that there is a wrong way to swing a club and a right way. At some point everyone needs instruction on their swing (Tiger and Phil pay big money for that) and you should find the right person that you feel comfortable with. Life it too short to settle for anything less and there is no better feeling than kicking your buddies butts up and down the course.
