I have so many great things to say about Onyx. First off the staff are SUPER friendly and very professional. I went there for a birthday party in the VIP room and we were given an hour before the event to setup which was plenty of time because the room is already set up beautifully. We paid to bring food from another place to the party ($25) which is super reasonable, and the only reason we did that was because we wanted a family style dinner but the food at Onyx is more snacks and bar food. The only thing that was a minor setback was the echo on the karaoke machine was so high that no one wanted to sing using it haha! read more

I recently started golfing and found it tough at outdoor ranges to tell how straight my shots were going or how high they were flying. Onyx has been a game-changer for me. It's perfect whether you're brand new to golf, a seasoned player, or just looking for a fun spot to hang out with friends. We originally tried it because it's only a few miles from our house, and now we love it so much that we've been going three times a week. The space has a really cool vibe, and the staff are great the manager especially is always so nice and helpful and she makes that place flow seamlessly. You can tell sees been in customer service industry or a manager before. The simulators use an app called TrackMan, which gives you detailed shot analysis and keeps track of your distances and clubs. It makes practicing feel way more productive than a traditional range. At $40 an hour, I think it's totally worth it. The only suggestion I'd make is that it would be great if all staff were as well-versed in TrackMan as the manager. Sometimes the system glitches and the staff on hand aren't sure how to fix it, which cuts into our sessions because we spend extra time trying to get set up. When the manager is around, though, she knows exactly how to troubleshoot it and gets everything running quickly so we can make the most of our time. It can get busy on weekends, but they take reservations, so that helps. Overall, I'd highly recommend Onyx for anyone looking to practice their game, improve faster, or just enjoy a unique golf experience indoors. read more

1 year later this place is still earning all five stars if not an extra one for the white glove club washing that Johnathan provided before we entered one of the VIP bays. I have a UCI intern working with my company and we went to give him some reps to develop his swing and get ready for some on course business opportunities. The weather outside was in the 90's this week and we were originally going to play a full round at Strawberry Farms yet I had a meeting pop up limiting my time plus I really wasn't looking forward to sweating it out as I played with a very green rookie. Onyx was the perfect option. We took a VIP bay for 1.5 hours, stayed cool, developed a good set up and swing for him and then played 9 holes at Pebble Beach. I came here with a group of friends for the first time and it was surprisingly fun. It was my first time trying out a golf simulator, so I had no idea what to expect. Service was very helpful and friendly. They even wash your clubs as you walk in (to ensure that their practice balls don't get dirty). Each party gets their own booth. They also have party rooms to rent in the back. You can order food and drinks from the booth which was perfect after we've been working up a sweat. I ordered their matcha cream top latte from the coffee bar and it was surprisingly really good. There were a lot of course options to choose from on the simulator and they also had some fun game options. WOW!!!! What an incredible experience I had today! First time at Onyx Golf, and I wasn't disappointed!!! You first walk in, and you're immediately greeted with a smile, I certainly felt welcomed. I was given a tour of this spacious and friendly establishment. I needed a lesson to check my posture and such, since it has been a while since I golfed. My golf coach, Jeong, was incredible. She was kind and so patient with me. She is very knowledgeable and beyond qualified in teaching EVERYTHING about golf. I highly recommend her and Onyx Golf for all your golf fixations. They even have a coffee bar with snacks for purchase, and a small pro shop in case you forgot anything. And each bay is clean and well maintained. Of course, there's a soundproof pod for anyone that needs to make a private phone call, this place can be a little noisy. This place is pricey, but, after all, golf is an expensive sport. This is a first class training center in everyway. The bays are layed out PERFECT, trackman in the later and the screens are easy to navigate. The service level is off the chart, starting with: they clean your clubs, they provide you Titelist Pro1's to hit with. I've signed up for the monthly fee that allows me to use 1 hour a day Monday through Friday all day, all month. I picked this place for date night with my lady since she has never golfed but expressed interest in it. It's perfect, no pressure, can rent clubs for 20 dollars that fit. The tracker is on point and has every stat needed to improve your golf game. Staff was super friendly. I thought the price was high but for everything you get to improve your game, it seems worth it. The different scenarios you can play is awesome. One issue would be the limit on how long you can tee the ball. Definitely too high for any iron and some woods. He was so knowledgeable and really helped my driving and putting! I feel like I've been playing better ever since! My husband found this place thanks to an Instagram ad. I had a great experience here from start to finish. First, I went inside, and my jaw dropped. This facility was awesome, and I loved the modern interior design! Super clean, cool environment. It is a fun, indoor entertainment spot for sure. They even had a legit high-end coffee shop with delicious coffee.   They have golf, a karaoke room, coffee, drinks, etc. I was very impressed with the service and instructions they gave me. There are instructors walking around to help you with anything you need. The best part about that is that there is no extra cost for instructions. They were there to just help you, and they were all very patient and accommodating. Simulators are all Trackman, and they are crystal clear. Hitting surfaces is top quality. I had to work on irons, and by the end of the 30 min session, I was able to strike my irons consistently. With Trackman Technology, it was easy to figure out what I was doing wrong. It will basically tell me how to do the proper address/ ball impact in golf. I have some bad habits in my swing, and it was easy for me to figure those out. Of course, the instructors there help me how to read the results from the Trackman. Hope this translates to a better game soon with constant practice. I say the price was really good compared to TopGolf. Plus, you can actually work on improving your golf game with all the metrics and cameras the system has. Can't wait to go to the facility again! I imagine that this company picks up business very soon (which will probably happen because the experience was so fun, and playing in an AC room is nice). I highly recommend this place to anyone who needs to analyze their swings. I look forward to returning. Will be back soon. read more
