They were more than happy to relieve me of my skateboard and longboard. I had a mortgage to pay. I did not want to risk a broken bone. Time to adult I thought. Five years later my awesome wife got not rollerblading. She wanted me to roll around with her while she practiced. I am not a roller skater nor a roller bladder. I used to be a skateboarder. I told her about Active. How when I was twelve, I used to scrounge up my change to buy bearings and wheels at Active while my mom, brother, and I washed our weekly laundry at the coin-laundry place next door. We live in Vista now. I wanted to check out the Active in Escondido; however, it has since closed. I try to spend local and checked out local skate shops but kept thinking about my old Active. I convinced my wife that we could go to Temecula and pop in for a bite at Old Town after to make it worth the drive. I felt like a kid again walking into Active in Temecula, same shopping center, but in the new location. I had the fortune of meeting Jackson. He is enthusiastic about skateboarding. I told him that this would be my last board, and for me, it was like buying a car. We talked about styles, boards, form versus function, etc. Jackson led me through each category and made me feel confident that I was selecting items that fit my riding style and personal style preferences. This is my favorite board that I have ever owned. The front cashier said my board was dope when ringing out. I already knew, but to hear the first person say it, made me grin from ear-to-ear. I hope Active comes back strong. I will try to spend my money there when I can to support the cause. The Return. Thank you Jackson, the woman in the front, and Active. I felt like a kid again. I stopped by today, and the man who assisted me squatted down, took a quick look, said it would require replacing two parts, including the bumper, and that it would be "very expensive". I thanked him and left. DO NOT GO HERE!!! Driving up the street, I spotted another auto body shop - Auto Body of San Marcos - and stopped in. The owner, Martin, invited me to wait in his lovely, air conditioned waiting room while he put my car up on the lift. Within five minutes he was back, and said it was fixed. The animals are so friendly, and the hour just flies by as you feed and spend time with the animals. The pigs love belly rubs and will come up to you for some snuggles! They don't like being picked up though, but if you stay still with a bucket of lettuce they won't leave you alone! :) We also got the VIP Mini Cows package and the owner, Wes, truly treated us like VIPs. We were lucky enough to be the only ones to spend time with the cows, and we got to feed them and lounge in the VIP area. The farm also doubles as an Airbnb with stargazing, and the suites are named after each of the cows! We were only here for a day, but are planning on coming back for the Airbnb and get the full farm and stargazing experience!

We received a complimentary bucket of greens to feed the pigs. Definitely wear clothes you're comfortable getting dirty in - the pigs love the mud, and they also love cuddling up with you! We would love to visit again and stay in their Stargazer Suites that overlook the cows' ranch area!
