Noticed this new coffee shop on my way to work and popped in for an Americano. The cafe is very nice inside with plenty of spots to work, study or chat. Order at the front and go up a couple stairs to the back for your drink. I'm sure they would be happy to bring your drink to the front if you're not able to go up the steps. My Americano tasted excellent. The back has some nice art up and it's a very relaxed and cozy room in the back. Prices are on the higher end compared to similar coffee shops in the area. Staff are very friendly and the barista was nice to talk to. Will definitely be back!

Very sweet staff and great coffee. I just got a latte and it was so pretty too! I also had the breakfast sandwich and I loved it.

We stopped by Goldstruck on the Sunday of the Toronto Marathon, and the cafe was busy with spectators and runners alike. I overheard a barista mention that he had come in on his day off, as they don't typically see too much volume on weekends. The way the cafe is set up, you order at the counter at the front, and then go up some stairs to the back of the store to pick up your item(s). I'm not sure if this necessarily makes it more efficient for the customer, but because the entrance area is quite small, I think it does prevent congestion at the front door. We ordered a Halva Latte and a Pumpkin Spice Chai Latte. I liked the Halva Latte better, which was a nice mix of hazelnut and vanilla, my go-to flavours. We took a seat at one of the tables in the back to get some work done in front of some cute wall art. Overall, I appreciated Goldstruck's offerings, but could do with a little more space. Good option in the downtown core!

I am not kidding when I say this was one of my top 3 meals in Toronto. I know this is a shaved ice…read more/ specifically a bingsu place and I say as a big shaved ice fan that this is probably the best bingsu I have had outside of my Korea. Given that I have not been to Korea in approximately a decade (excluding the airport), it may be the best bingsu I can remember ever having. We got to try the matcha affogato, persimmon bingsu, and the injeolmi bingsu. I learned what an affogato was for the first time (they pour espresso into ice cream, so this was matcha poured into matcha ice cream) and that was yum but not what I would come back for. It also becomes soup lol. The stars of the show are the bingsu. In my many years eating shaved ice in various places, I have never had a persimmon bingsu and I am so glad that I got to try it. The persimmon flavor was light but delicious. Of the three other people here, this was their favorite. I loved this one but my favorite was the injeolmi - a lot of it is more milky because the injeolmi powder is at the top but I loved that. The texture of this bingsu was excellent - we all marveled at it. The cornflakes throughout were a stroke of genius. I love this place and lol I am not kidding, this place might be the reason I plan my next trip to Toronto. I am half kidding I guess but it would very much be a factor. Run, don't walk to this place.

Delicious desserts, waffles ice cream, smoothies, and more. We ordered: Medium Mango Smoothie - $7.95 Simple Pleasures Waffle - $15.50 The waffle was light and fluffy and the toppings of fruit and chocolate were a great combination. I requested to be lighter on the chocolate but there was still a LOT of chocolate on our waffle. The mango smoothie was refreshing and sweet. I started going to Holy Choco when they first opened and their service was really good from some of the owner. Super attentive and caring staff. Unfortunately, it's since gone downhill since they've hired new staff and we had a number of small problems when visiting this time (dirty tables, dirty cutlery, requested if our food could be put in to go containers because they didn't want to do dishes, unfriendly, etc.) I hope they improve upon these staffing issues soon. Their seating area is good for friends and groups to loiter. Also, if you plan on bringing a laptop, they have MANY OUTLETS!!

For items: we chose strawberry, banana, halal marshmallow, waffle bites, brownie bites, and Oreo with a round of cappuccino's ($5.50 each). The interior is nicely decorated with a cute angel photo op in the back, and window bar seats and couches to choose from. Great spot for 2-4 people. The only criticism I could have was it took a while to get our order. So, it's not one of those places you can be dipping into expecting to be done in 20mins! We stayed for nearly 3 hours and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.
