Frozen margarita

Margaritas are pretty good at this place. Two bucks off on happy hour which is pretty cool. Came here on a Friday evening and it was good. The place has started to fill up after 6pm. The decor is cool.

What a cool little spot! I had zero expectations except that they would have frozen drinks on a 90 degree summer day. The decor is super cute and certainly sticks to a retro gold theme in the best way - almost glam but not really. I love a circular bar, it feels more communal and friendly than sitting in a line. There is also a cute very lush back patio; however, since it was hot and the patio seemed crowded and partially closed off for an event, we sat inside. My friend and I opted for the frozen margaritas, as that was the only frozen option, although the menu listed frosé - I believe their slush machine was down. All frozen drinks were $12 - it probably could have been $10. It was tasty and refreshing, very light but didn't entirely taste like a margarita, maybe because it did not have salt? The beer selection looked legit and was mostly priced $5-7. The bartender offered us complimentary slices of pizza as the private event hosts ordered too many - what a nice surprise! This is a great spot to pop in if you're in the area. There were only a few folks when we arrived but a gradual steam was coming in by the time we left. Bathrooms were clean and also had a funky decor, which I liked!

Great decor, like you're on the set of The Deuce or something. Decent beers, good crowd, and a backyard!

I love this bar. I wish they opened their patio more often though. Good locals bar in Greenpoint.

This is a gorgeous bar but the bartender won't stop playing The Beatles and it's making me want to slit my wrists.

This place is awesome. Mirrored ceilings in the bathroom. Chill vibes. Horseshoe bar. Don't drink the Taiwan beer.

Had several fun nights here. Good pool table, cheap drinks, GREAT decor, and goldfish to snack on at the bar. A local favorite.

The music is at a low enough volume that you can hear your conversations, it doesn't get too crowded so you can spread out, even if you're in a large group. Downstairs, it's a lot tighter, with a DJ, dance floor, lounge seating area, and a much more packed and busy atmosphere on the weekends. I like ping ponging between both vibes when I'm with friends. Admittedly I've found the music both times to be too experimental for me. Confessing that makes me feel like an old person shaking my fist or at least shaking my head, misunderstanding what makes the youth tick. But I had no trouble twirling around the dance floor to this weird experimental music after throwing back a few tequila sodas upstairs. A few times while here my friends have split up into the group that wants to go downstairs to dance and the group that wants to stay upstairs and chill. It's relatively easy to navigate between both vibes, which I enjoy about this spot very much.

Came here on a quiet weeknight by a total mistake!…read more We came to grab some drinks at the rooftop bar and catch the sunset and gorgeous views. When we saw "Water Tower" on the elevator we decided to press it. SO GLAD WE DID. We landed at the Water Tower and walked into a fairly empty space decorated with art all the way to the ceiling, filled with natural light coming in and the views of the skyline were out of this world. We had to try their drinks of course to enjoy with the incredible view. Though the drinks are $21 and served in a plastic cup that evening, I was NOT expecting my drink to be this insanely delicious. I ordered the inferno Paloma which they infuse themselves with- and it was true perfection. By the way, each bar has their own menu which is pretty awesome and makes it even more fun. Also, Axel is the most incredible bartender and we absolutely loved his creations. Later that night we ordered a custom mandarin margarita, with a spicy twist, and WOW. He's truly talented and absolutely made us some awesome drinks that we can't stop talking about. Sunset with a view and a spicy mezcal drink? Yes and YES. We had this place all to ourselves and can't wait to be back. Friday nights they have DJ nights and you can also book the Water Tower for your own private events which is pretty cool!

I discovered Kokomo because I knew I wanted our wedding celebration to be in Williamsburg -- a neighborhood that holds so many memories for me growing up in the Bronx and exploring the city as a kid. We flew in from Los Angeles and truly made it a full wedding week experience. I planned the wedding myself, so I had been communicating with Joel for months leading up to the event. We reserved the Champagne Room, which felt like its own beautiful oasis. As a Jamaican-American woman, it meant so much to know my disabled mother would feel culturally comfortable, welcomed, and safe in the space and with the food. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, attentive, and calming. Our server especially helped ease my nerves while we were finalizing seating and guest details, and after that, I genuinely did not have to worry about a thing. And the food? Absolutely incredible. Truly perfection. As a vegan, it meant so much to fully enjoy every part of my wedding meal without compromise. The rum punch was fantastic, our guests loved the open bar package, and the entire evening flowed so seamlessly. The aesthetic is pure island luxury -- elevated, warm, vibrant, and beautiful. The communication from the owners and management team was excellent throughout the entire process, and I even had the chance to finally meet Joel at the end of the night after months of planning together, which was such a lovely touch. I was also able to personally thank the chefs. We even accidentally left my bouquet behind, and the team kindly helped us retrieve it the next day. Kokomo NYC is officially a staple in our family now. I already know we will celebrate future milestones there and visit often whenever we are back in New York. It makes me proud to support a Black Caribbean-owned business that creates such meaningful experiences with so much care and excellence. I truly cannot imagine our wedding without Kokomo, and I'm so grateful they were part of our story. : @lensofher

Both were perfect for a chilly night and nicely spiced. The hot toddy especially hit the spot. For food, we tried a few things. The Sweet Potato Beignets with hot honey & parmesan were definitely interesting--sweet, savory, and a bit unexpected. Not my favorite item of the night, but still worth trying if you like unique flavor combos. The BK Sliders (3 pc) were solid: thick applewood smoked bacon, American cheese, Russian dressing, and pickle on mini brioche buns. Simple, satisfying, and nicely done. The real standout though was the Calamari with shichimi pepper, jalapeño, lime zest, and herbal dipping sauce--absolutely amazing. Crispy, flavorful, and the seasoning had just the right kick. Easily the best dish we ordered. Service was friendly and the atmosphere made it easy to linger. Overall a great experience, and I'd definitely come back--especially for that calamari and another hot toddy.

I've never ate here, but I recommend grabbing drinks during the summer months when they open the canopy. It's a nice rooftop feel. However, I went on a fall Saturday night and the place was completely empty. I walked upstairs and even wondered if the bar was open due to a chair blocking the entrance. If I didn't ask the waiter if they were open, I would assume they were closed and would've left. If it was near closing hours, I would understand, but it was 2 hours prior to it. It is too bad Yelp doesn't allow half stars as I would honestly put this one at a 3.5 and am rounding up. While the quality of the elevated seafood bites is immaculate, they are just that: a bite or two of food, for an elevated price considering the amount of food you get. After spending $76 a person, we were still hungry, whereas that amount would have been enough to feed two average women at another good restaurant. But if you go with an expense account or trust fund baby, definitely get the scallops and the yellowtail pastrami because those two items will blow your mind. Our waitress pointed these two out to us and we're grateful for her guidance because it was spot on. Paying for bread at a Solomonov joint is odd. No dessert menu is odder. Wheelchair access details: The bar is on a terrace. The accessible entrance is through the Hoxton hotel. A staff member will take you through the k'far kitchen and up via a service elevator. No barriers once you are upstairs and plenty of accessible outdoor and indoor/outdoor options, including a small length of wheelchair height bar. A perfectly functional though unexciting wheelchair accessible restroom is available.
