Way too expensive. To go from Medford and pick up my partner in Everett then to Logan Airport which isn't far total trip they wanted almost $200. I got a minivan from Malden Taxi the guy was fantastic Plus $43. That was a total of six miles. Oh well never using them again I took them out of my phone book. read more

We had an outstanding experience with Goldie Rides and driver Amir. We were stuck in Philadelphia due to weather and terrible communication from American Airlines. No flights to our destination for a family reunion for 3 days, and no customer service from the airline. I called Goldie Rides and was pleased to have a person answer immediately instead of a recorded message. A driver with a passport was located and we were on our way shortly. Great limo service. We went to the airport during a snow storm at 3:00 AM . The limo was a beautiful Tesla. Steven, the last driver we had going to and from the airport, contacted us the day before our pickup, arrived on time, was cordial, loaded our bags at pickup, and unloaded them at the airport. My daughters wedding was last weekend and I needed a company to transport my out of town family from Salem, MA to the venue about 30 minutes north and back on a Sunday evening. I had contacted a number of limo services recommend by the wedding venue, but the prices were too high for me. I resigned myself to use Uber to set up the rides, but I had some uncertainty on how many people the vehicles would hold and I was unable to book more than one vehicle myself. I took a chance on Goldie Rides and called them. They worked with me to set up two large SUVs to transport 12 people that day. The pickups and rides were on-time and smooth. The drivers were very kind and patient especially at the end if the night when we were gathering everyone to leave. The company contacted me the evening before the event with specifics of the drivers phone numbers, names and vehicle specifics. I changed the pick up times a couple of times and that was no problem. I had to make some last minute transportation plans from Middlesex County to Boston Logan because as we all know, Boston Logan Parking coupled with kids' winter break is a hot mess. At best you get there and spend an hour finding parking, taking shuttles, all under a tight deadline and spending $200 or more depending on how long your trip is. There's also the Logan Express which is a completely reasonable option. However with a 6am flight and a 3:30 am wake up call - we just didn't want to bother with any of those options let alone the risk of not being able to find parking once we got to the airport. I submitted a project through Yelp (transport my family and 2 large pieces of luggage), and got 5 responses right away of which Goldie's was one of them. Fast response, not the cheapest, but definitely more affordable than a limo. The dispatch service's communication was top notch and extremely responsive. One phone call to confirm itinerary and payment details and we had a driver assigned to us. Driver showed up about 5 minutes late, but to his credit, he called and told us he was running a little behind, plus we built in a nice buffer anyway. Showed up in a Tesla Model X which was more than enough for 2.5 pieces of large luggage and 4 passengers. Car was immaculate, driver was friendly and professional and got us to the airport with zero issues. Return trip was the same, and especially considering I made a mistake with quoting the arrival time. I texted the office with the correction, they coordinated with the driver, driver confirmed, and he was where he said he would be (passenger pickup zone 4 right outside baggage claim), when he needed to be there. This company is a lifesaver. First of all, they actually answer the phone with a real person, and they respond promptly if you fill out an online request. The prices are incredible. For just a few dollars more than Uber, you will receive a text message a few hours before your scheduled pick-up, confirming the namer of your driver and their phone number, and the driver always shows up reliably and on-time. You will never be stranded, or, if you are in an out-of-the-way place, stand there anxious over wether an Uber driver will accept your ride or not. Major peace of mind. I hired Goldie Rides to pickup my wife and kids at Logan from a red-eye flight from CA. Was told we would get a text from the driver before 7pm the night before. When I didn't hear anything by that afternoon I called and was told that the driver would definitely text my wife before 7pm and not to worry. I gave them my # and my wife's # again and asked that the driver text us both ASAP, and mentioned I was feeling nervous that the pickup wouldn't happen. They assured me that everything would be fine. 7pm comes and goes so I call Goldie Rides back and get a recording saying I can only leave a message between 7pm - 6am (my wife's flight arrives at 5am). I leave a message asking (again) that the driver text both our #s ASAP. My wife's flight is on time but no text from driver. She calls Goldie Rides and leaves a message. Eventually the driver calls and says he had the wrong number for her and has left the airport and needs to come back. Eventually they get picked up, but wife said the car was a bit beat up and not too clean. Will not be using Goldie Rides again... read more

The first ride with Goldie was almost perfect, but totally good enough to say I would recommend. The communication was just not top, but our ride from the airport was totally fine. The second time there seemed to be a communication issue, again, but this time between them and their driver. The latter clearly did not know exactly where they had to be to pick us up, which caused a major delay, not to mention a stressful start to a vacation. They did manage to work things out and got another driver to make it to us. I'm sure that driver had to do some pretty creative driving, nonetheless to get to us. Long story short, I would definitely recommend them, because they really did try to make it right. The drivers we had were good with clean cars, and their rates are also quite good. BEWARE- This was so reprehensible, that I am writing a detailed review. Goldie's CANCELED my ride 3 hours before taking me to the train that I was taking to the airport. The details: On 10/24/23 I searched Yelp for transportation from my location to the train station for 10/30/23 (which would take me to the airport)- 16 miles and a 25 min drive. Yelp sends a request to different vendors who text me back with quotes. I received a text from William at Goldie Rides quoting $55 for the ride. Next day,10/25/23 I received a follow up saying, "Was the rate ok with you? My boss said that we can actually lower the rate a bit. We'd be glad to work with you for your ride, we do that venue a lot. Please let us know". I reply- "sure- that would be great. What rate could you do?". The next day he texts: "Our apologies. Our minimum fee is $55 plus gratuity". I then ask what is the fare all the way to the airport and he replies $135. I confirmed with him that I'd just take the ride to the train. When I booked it on person with "Maggie" in the office, I wanted to give instructions for the driver to locate me easily on the campus. She said, "well, I can write it down but the drivers don't look at it. It's just easier if they talk to you in the morning". Then I called to re-confirm on 10/28 or 29 and spoke with Stacy. Again, I said, I'd like to give directions which she took and told her of my conversation with Maggie. I received a text the night before my ride from the driver, Portier, with his phone number. I called him to make sure he had the directions to find me- which he did not. So, I texted them to him directly. Imagine my shock when, after all these communications with this company- and more than twice confirming my address, when an unidentified woman called and said, "Unfortunately, we misquoted the rate and we're canceling your ride." Me: "WHAT? I booked this 5 days ago and confirmed and I have to be at the train station in 3 hours". Her: Well that's why I'm calling you now. I can't find any driver that will do it for this price. Me: YOU misquoted it. Your company won't stand behind this price? Her: No. I don't have a single driver that will take this ride for this price. UNBELIEVABLE! I scrambled and found a friend of a friend that was able to take me. Out of curiosity, I texted Portier, the driver to ask him where he was located. BOSTON- only about 400 miles away! Clearly, they didn't pay any attention to my location. Someone was asleep at the wheel- literally. AVOID! 11/5/23 In response to William of Goldie Rides: You want to stick with that story? 1) Your office called me at 9:03 am (per my phone records) and the ride was scheduled for 12:55 pm- less than 4 hrs later- NOT 5 as you claim. 2) Car problems? Your driver told me he was in Boston which is about 400 miles from my location. You were sending a driver 400 miles to take me 16 miles for $55? If you are looking for a ride from Boston to Maine or other points at a distance, I highly recommend Goldie Rides. They were the only company out of Boston that did not charge an arm and a leg. In fact, their rates included all of the tolls too. (No hidden costs!) I tried to book a 4 hour slot with this company but it became too confusing. I was quoted $99.00 per hour but was then going to be charged an additional $36.00 per hour to stop anywhere. Then, if we were caught in rush hour traffic there would be a 12% up charge. I went with a different service. On a positive note, they did get back to me quickly. read more

Scheduling transportation a day or two ahead to Logan airport on Thanksgiving day, at 5 am was a challenge. GoldieRides had people to communicate with by phone and on Yelp. This was reassuring because other services had poor systems to notify me that there was a driver available a day or two ahead. I didn't want to risk not having a ride. Goldie's gave me driver contact info the day before. The driver showed up 15" early. No pressure to be ready early but it relaxed me to know my driver was at my home. Too many bad experiences in past with no shows. Also, the price was decided and paid ahead of time so there weren't any surprises. I'm grateful that my driver, James was a careful driver and courteous. I'll use Goldie Rides again. read more
