Orange Chicken, Egg Roll, Ham Fried Rice
Nicole M.

The sauce is very sweet for the orange chicken. The sauce had a weird taste to it. Price was very fair. Egg roll was really good. Rice was average, it was just rice and ham but no veggies. I would try something else.

$5.95 lunch special- Cantonese chow mein and orange chicken were extra charge. I also got sweet and sour pork

My kids and I got takeout here today. The hostess was super friendly. She was patient while we decided what to get and she made conversation with my kids. I liked that she brought the food out in a cardboard box so none of it would spill while I drove. I also liked that all the sauces were on the side so the breaded meat stayed crispy! I got an egg roll and loved it. The sweet and sour pork was pretty good. The orange chicken sauce was intensely orangey... maybe artificially flavored? And the chow mein was fine. My kids loved everything and raved about it the whole meal. The 3 item lunch combo was more than enough food for me and my 9 and 5 year old kids could have easily split one!

Potstickers (with two missing because we couldn't wait)

By far one of my favorite places. Sure the decor isn't great but the food is and we love going here. And have for years.

My mother-in-law recommended this to me. I'm usually really hesitant when people recommend Chinese…read moreRestaurants to me. I'm not a big fan of the "Panda Express" tasting Chinese food. For starters, we ordered the Wor Wonton Soup. The broth was rich and hearty. The shrimps were large and plentiful. All the vegetables blended in with the flavors. I just wish the beef was a little more tender. A little marinade in baking soda would fix this. We ordered some chicken lettuce wraps. This has minced chicken, celery, bamboo shoots, and carrots. These are good by themselves but are best with hoisin sauce. I just wish the lettuce leaves were bigger. The Honey Walnut Shrimp was also good. The sauce had a nice blend of mayo, honey and lemon. It had a little too much breading for me but still tasted good. For $16.99, I wished there was a bit more shrimp. One thing I really appreciate - they GLAZE the walnuts! This is one of the few places that I actually like the sauce and they glaze the walnuts! The Crispy Beef is definitely my favorite. In fact, I think this is better than the one I get from Red Maple. It was not too sweet and had just the right amount of heat. Again, I really wish they would marinate the beef in baking soda to soften it up. The last dish we ordered was the Garlic Chicken. The server forgot to put the order in for this dish and there was a rush to get it out to us. They forgot to put garlic in this dish so wee sent it back. It was perfect when it came back. This place is fast becoming our go-to-place for Chinese Food. It's was a nice surprise and I'll can't wait to try the other dishes!

You know when the feeling hits that you must have Chinese take out for dinner? Well that was…read moretonight. I wanted to try something new and we found Red Dragon. It was close and the pictures looked like just what I wanted. We learned though don't leave your house at 5:30 pm ever. It took as an hour to go 5.3 miles. The traffic was extra horrible in all directions. When we finally arrived we were both really hungry. We ordered the Family Special B. We both chose our own entree and we picked Walnut Shrimp and Mongolian Beef. It comes with four fried shrimp and 4 cheese wontons, fried rice and of course the mandatory fortune cookie. The inside looks cute and cozy. Buddha greets you and he's happy because he was dripping in dollars. They were really busy and people kept pouring in so I didn't get to ask why he had all those bills. The food was delicious. It came with Hot and Sour Soup which was hot in temperature and in spiciness. The shrimp was fresh and melted in your mouth. The Mongolian Beef is drenched in onions, celery and peppers and had some heat too. They were kind and we will be back. That way I can get to the bottom of the Buddha.

The shrimps were big and there were 8 pieces which was generous. The dinner combo was missing the egg drop soup I selected for my order and the ham fried rice was hard (-1 star for this). However, the sides egg roll, cream cheese ragoon, and pan fried chicken were a plus to the dinner combo. The wonton soup I ordered separately was amazing and I could eat it in two meals since it was one big size. The price was pretty good for the amount of food and quality.

Our longtime favorite -- worth the drive every time!…read more We've been going to Joy Luck for several years now, and truly, it never disappoints. It's hands-down the best Chinese food in the area. We happily make the trek out to Sandy just for this place, and whenever we have a show at Hale Centre Theatre, Joy Luck is our pre-show tradition. This visit was no different: no wait, quick seating, and incredibly fast service -- which is a lifesaver when you're trying not to be late for curtain time. We started with the deep-fried cream cheese wontons, perfectly crisp with a delicious sweet-and-sour dipping sauce. (Confession: I sometimes pour a little of that sauce over my rice instead of soy -- it adds the best hint of sweetness!) We each got soup as well: hot & sour for my partner and egg drop for me. Their egg drop soup is the best I've ever had. Sometimes I crave it and stop by just for a bowl. For mains, we ordered the black pepper steak and the cantonese noodles with chicken. As expected, everything was flavorful, saucy, and served in generous portions. You absolutely get your money's worth here. One thing I love is their huge menu -- so many options, and everything we've tried over the years has been great. I'm also a big fan of their combination dinners where you get an entrée, soup, rice, eggroll, and fried shimp. Perfect if you want your own complete plate, but also easy to mix, match, and share if you're going family-style. Joy Luck has been consistently wonderful for years: friendly staff, fast service, big portions, and truly delicious food. We'll keep coming back -- pre-show or not!

The host came within a minute or so for drink orders. Menu had tons of great options - they even have a menu just for kids. Our waitress was very attentive. Food was really good! Yes, it may be on the pricier side of Chinese food, but you get a good size portion. We opted for a dinner combination plate and a chef speciality. The dinner combination seemed like the best bang for your buck. You get an entree, sweet and sour chicken or pork, egg roll/cheese wontons and egg drop soup. We had beef chow mein - the flavor was good & beef was cooked perfectly. Not too chewy, not too dry. Had the salt pepper shrimp - it was decorated very nicely! I do wish the shrimp was head-on because that's traditional, but it was still tasty. Had a nice crunch on the outside and shrimp was cooked evenly. We also got hot and sour soup which was delicious! Definitely one of the better ones I've tasted. We will be back soon!
