We used this company 2 times Our windows were very old single pane We switched to double pane vinyl amerimax Gary was the consultant very easy to communicate with. Easy to get in touch with and very smart and knowledgeable. The showroom was great and they brought samples to our house . My husband works long hours so it was very convenient for him to see everybody as well before we made the decision. We replaced 17 windows and 2 patio doors everything was done in one day and clean up was great. The building inspector was a pain in the butt because our smoke detector batteries were old so he said we don't pass until we get new batteries. He said the the installation was good quality . We purchased a house with old aluminum Rusty Windows. Trying to improve our energy efficiency we ordered double pane Amerimax vinyl windows from Golden State. we really enjoy the smoothness of having new windows and not having to struggle opening the old ones. We ordered low E glass and it really helps blocking out the sun and the ultraviolet rays from damaging our hardwood floor's. Five Stars!!! Wow- who knew ? I called to find out if they had patio doors, the sales consultant came over to my house, measured told me what kind of doors they had, which I was easily able to access online, picked out which door I wanted. Wrote him a downpayment check and in a few weeks my beautiful door was here. The installer spent hours with my cruddy door frame re-doing it rebuilding it and then even touching up with white out on some white vinyl trip pieces. Look out for the sleazy salesman! They have all kinds of sleazy techniques they try to invite you to the store. When me and my husband showed up to the showroom little did we know we're surrounded by the salesman his manager and some other guy. All of them were trying to pressure us to buy today. Me and my husband felt really uncomfortable and left Then there was the other company who came in measured explained nothing and were thousands of dollars less than everyone else. They made me kind of worried as well. Golden state windows really seemed to have the right fit for us. They came on time were honest fairly priced and installation was five-star. We desperately needed vinyl double pane windows. With all this rain I'm glad we got them. The old aluminum windows we had were double pain but didn't really do anything come to find out the sales person told us that they are a conductor of heat and cold which makes matters even worse. Golden state windows did a great job! We went with the Milgard styline series for more glass less bulky frame it's a slim series. I really like the auto lock which basically locks the window by itself automatically when you shut it. Clean up was very detailed! We Scheduled someone to come out and do an estimate. Sales staff was excellent and knowledgeable. The windows came in ahead of what was estimated and installation was a breeze with only one issue. I wanted to get milgard windows only. I called many companies down on the peninsula. Everyone I talked to was good, but golden state windows impressed me the most with their presentation and that there was no rush or pressure like some other companies I spoke with. Mark and Andre were awesome, these two guys completed the whole project in one day, amazing. My salesmen Gary and Jeff were really on point with giving me all of the detailed information. I like the fact that they didn't try to pressure us into their show room like the other two companies we called. They simply showed us the different samples at our house carrying what looked like briefcases they had in their truck. The other companies only wanted to come to their place so that the manager will force you into making a decision without going anywhere else for more information.
