I would like to rate zero , even that would be too good for this outfit. As a general contractor and building envelope specialist with over 30 years experience I was aware prior to engaging in their services what their limitations are, they are a small mom and pop who only provide basic window/glass service - custom glass/window work and or work that requires thought and planning is not at all what they do. For the job I hired them to do, all they had to do was show up with their tools and their basic glass/window knowledge [ materials and expertise/supervision provided by others] - they couldn't even figure out how to schedule the work [ work is local, 5 miles from there office] - they do not respond to emails or phone calls or texts - they even stole from my job site when they initially came out and agreed to perform the work. I am very pleased with the professionalism and craftsmanship of Kevin and his team. I wanted to replace eight picture windows with bird safe glass because I was having too many bird strikes. I had done a lot of research and found a special product sourced out of Southern California. The other glaziers I called were uninterested in taking on the job because it was not a typical product. I want to recommend Kevin, the owner of Morgan Glass & Window, as someone who is very knowledgeable about windows and glass and is a super nice guy! Kevin came to our home in El Granada to help us replace a glass pane in our Milgard window that had been broken by a stone from our lawnmower. He diligently tracked down a code that was not visible on our windows and was at our home for a good while. As it turned out, soon after, Kevin found out that our windows were still under warranty with Milgard and that they could be repaired at no charge by the manufacturer. He did not charge us for his visit and was quite nice about the fact that he did not get a paying job from us. It's great to have connected with someone as genuine as Kevin and a business owner who obviously cares about customers. His assistant, Brook, was very responsive and cheerful, too. Kevin installed three replacement windows, replaced a smallish picture window with a french door with side lites, and installed a dog door for us. He gave great advice on the french door and managed to get the dog door into a tricky spot (probably helps that he's a dog guy). He quoted a price and that's what he charged. When you work with a small business, contractors are trying to keep themselves and their employees busy so things do get moved around. For us, it was good as we got moved up a day, but Kevin checked in with us to make sure it was okay. I like working with someone who is accountable and knowlegable. We plan to use Kevin on future window replacements. read more

He failed to show up, did not call to explain why or reschedule and did not return my subsequent calls or emails. I was going to give him the benefit of the doubt, that for instance he had a family emergency. However, I saw him the next day working on a project at Strawflower Shopping Center. He came into our large residential project and literally put the entire window and door section of the project on track.
