My faucet had been slowly leaking through a handle. I was able to get the valve out of it but it rotated the handle base with it. Meanwhile, another sink had started leaking through the drain trap. Daniel came out and was able to realign the handle and get the new parts in to fix the leak and fix the drain pipe in the other sink in no time flat. Daniel with Golden Rooter is a gem! We contacted Daniel at the recommendation of many people in the neighborhood. He came out to replace our toilet. (The toilet has a double flapper and 2 previous plumbers, plus a supply company, had never seen that before. There was a clog in the actual toilet that they could not get through as well (which was why it wasn't flushing) and everything together could be costly... probably most cost effective to just replace the toilet.) First off, he was very available to communicate with while we were choosing the new toilet. When he came to do the work, he first took time to inspect our current toilet. He asked questions and tinkered with it. Wrapping up the story, he adjusted a few things in the tank, and turns out, we didn't need a new toilet. That was already great news, as I didn't want to contribute to the landfill, but he also offered to take the toilet to Home Depot and meet us there so it could be returned! So kind. And then, he didn't even charge us!!! He said he didn't really do anything. Kind, kind human and really good at his job as well. I took a risk and decided to hire Daniel based off of the reviews here, the pictures, and anyone who puts a dog on their work vehicle seems pretty cool to me. We weren't disappointed! Daniel came to give us an estimate said he'd arrive between 11-11:30am and arrived around 12:15pm, so not bad on timing especially for this industry. He even text saying he was on his way. When he arrived he asked if we'd like him to wear a mask. Super courteous. We needed 2 hose bibs sweated off (changed) and to change the main water shut off as they are old and don't shut off completely. His price seemed fair compared to other estimates $700. He also did a great job explaining the process, so we decided to hire him. He got straight to work the same day. He had to drive to a few places to get some parts and was done within a few hours. Daniel was in charge of my whole house repipe, it was a huge job for a 2 story 56 year old house with original galvanized pipes and it couldn't have been done better.
