I've been coming to Pro Nails salon off and on for many years and it's difficult to tell which one…read moreI am reviewing, so I will review both noting what I feel are the key differences. The Sepulveda location has been around longer. I usually call and ask if Helen is available and usually I can get in quickly. I think each technician at the Sepulveda location has a different style. Helen opened up the PCH location and it was later sold to a different owner. I consider both locations about the same rating, but I like them for different reasons. I prefer Sepulveda location if I want white French tips, which I just went in for and they did a beautiful job. If I want them to use my own nail color I also go there. They have easy parking and easy to get in and out fast. The PCH location does not carry white tips, will not use polish that you bring in and parking can be a challenge. The PCH technicians all seem to turn out a similar nice result and they use more variety of small bit attachments on their tools. Small bits can get into tight spots and clean up under the nail better in my opinion. The PCH salon is better maintained with more spacious. I didn't touch on sanitation. That's something to ask about.

Vinny did my manicure and I wish I got the name of the tech doing my pedicure, but both were really meticulous when it came to shaping and cleaning! I always fear getting cut on my toes, but not a single cut today! Walked out of there feeling like a new person. Super friendly staff and can't wait to come back. Bonus points for whoever curated the playlist because it definitely gave me mid 2000's MySpace music (think Stevie Hoang & George Nozuka) vibes. Wish I had my hands free to Shazam a few tracks. There is a receptionist in front and you let her know what you would like done. They offer you either Pepsi, bottled water, or a bottled sangria. I always get water. The salon is spacious and super clean. I don't have a regular tech that I request and open to whoever is available. They do a great job for the most part especially the massages on the feet, calves, hands and arms. I usually get a French pedicure and a regular manicure with just clear polish. I'm a regular and very likely to back in a few weeks! 4 stars cause I like to relax at Nailax!

Mie, the owner, did my nails. She's very friendly and accommodating and also very talented. I knew I wanted to have some kind of design on my nails and I told her to do whatever she wanted. I chose the color but she created the design in silver as you can see by the picture. They are a busy salon so you have to plan ahead to get your nails done. I've been doing my own nails for years now because I've been to a few nail places with questionable sanitization practices and it freaked me out.) First off, I loved the comfy recliners and was glad it wasn't the kind with the jetted tub attached. Those can never truly be cleaned and sanitized, so I'm not a fan. They only do gel polish here and their pricing is a tad more than the typical nail salon you see on every corner. It's WELL worth the price though. The quality and care is top notch. I will absolutely be back.

I've been getting them done since I was 12 with my grandma, so I know exactly what I like. That being said, this place really delivers when it comes to quality -- especially Morgan and Vu. Morgan does my nails and she really listens. She pays attention to the details that matter to me, like getting the polish close to the edge, shaping them exactly how I like, and helping me choose the right colors. But, most of the time I bring my own. :) Vu does my pedicures, he is sooo nice and a sincere person, and I don't even have to say much -- he just knows what he's doing. I always leave feeling super relaxed, and honestly, he gives one of the best massages I've had. Overall, I'm really happy I found this place. Like another reviewer…read morestated, what I asked for on my pedi was overidden by the tech doing my mani who said they'd let me know after seeing my nails. What?? I just asked for my nails to be cut short not anything fancy. This isn't my first rodeo getting a mani pedi in my life. And she wasn't even doing my pedicure. She actually ended up painting my toes though and while I didn't request three coats of polish, she took the liberty of doing so and I didn't notice until she got to the second foot when I noticed how thick the polish was. I told her that next time I only want two coats. She replied that next time I need to tell her but how would I think she'd do three coats when she did only two on my hands? I am a little surprised at her retort. I still tipped generously because I appreciate the intention but not likely to come back.

Never did he ask me if I was okay with the nails a once he was done. All he said was $45 and if it was cash or card. I left in a hurry because my son had an appointment. I called after and the male answered the phone. I explained to him what the issue was and his words were "paint over them so you won't see through " I told him can't you fix you did the work. He said I don't need to be difficult! Extremely RUDE !
