AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Completely unacceptable way to run a business. I placed an order online for a new car key, paid for it, and then received absolutely no meaningful update about shipping. After waiting and seeing no movement on the order, I finally had to call them myself, multiple times, just to find out what was going on. Only then was I told there was apparently a "mistake" on their website and they didn't actually have the key I had already paid for. What I find most disturbing is that nobody contacted me to tell me this. They had my money, couldn't fulfill the order, weren't shipping anything, and apparently had no plan to proactively notify me or issue a refund. When I directly asked whether they were simply planning to keep my money indefinitely if I hadn't called, the person I spoke with couldn't even give me an answer. That's outrageous. Mistakes with inventory happen. What is NOT acceptable is taking a customer's money for a product you can't provide and then failing to contact them, update the order, or promptly refund their money. Had I not repeatedly followed up myself, I genuinely don't know how long they would have held onto my payment. The entire experience felt incredibly poorly managed and completely eroded my trust in this company. Based on my experience, I would absolutely not order from them again. Avoid this company and take your business somewhere that actually communicates with its customers and fulfills the orders it accepts payment for. read more

Omar does not honor the warranty on key fobs purchased through him. In May 2025, I purchased 2 keys fobs for my truck for $250. Omar said the warranty on the fobs was good for 1 year. In March 2026, the fobs stopped working properly. When I went to Omar, he initially said he would charge $125 to replace them but I insisted they were under warranty so he eventually said he would order 2 new keys. When I went back to get the new key fobs. He proceeded to reprogram the old ones (which still didnt work properly) and give me a third key that was not the right type. When reminded that he was not honoring the warranty and providing 2 new fobs like had said he would, he replied that the dealer would charge more. And when I pointed out that the new fob wasn't even the right one, he said that was all he had. I feel scammed by Omar who did not honor his warranty and did not live up to what he said he would do. I would not recommend using Omar and Golden Locks at all. Despite your response Omar, the fact remains you failed to honor your initial statement that you would order 2 new key fobs, since both fobs were under warranty. Known issue aside, if the product is under warranty, then honor that warranty and provide a full in-kind replacement. You said you would order two and never did. Thats not acting in good faith. And then you only provided one key instead of two, since both fobs stopped working, and that fob did not have all the functions and is not a true replacement. And to expect me to accept the loss of the remote start function (which I actually use) is ridiculous. Honoring your warranty should not be a "courtesy" but instead an essential part of any business operating with integrity. You did not live up to your word and you did not honor your warranty. read more

They didn't show up three times to rekey three doors. I called another locksmith and they showed up next day and he texted me the was on his way. My initial call was first part of March after remodel, in April you didn't show up because you van was not running with no call saying you would you would not make it. Then I called twice to have rekey 3 locks and again no one showed up. read more

Amazing service! Car got broken into through the lock a long time ago. Came in to get a new battery for my key (I was doing it for years). He advised me that it doesn't look like it's the key and gave me a quote for a new lock and key that connects to the sensor. Because I was unable to bring the car to him, he was able to come to me and return to his shop. All in a 2 hours work. Thank you so much for looking out and getting a quick fix! read more

Fast, efficient and extremely helpful all of an incredibly low price. Other locksmiths were giving me quotes for twice as much. Thanks O

I like the fact this is a brick and mortar business. Walk in and get your keys done. Friendly service and knowledgeable. Reasonable prices. Better than the dealer if you need a key fob. read more

I had disconnected my car battery whilst repairing my interior handle cable. Had forgotten to reconnect the external handle rod to the lock assembly. Locked myself out of all four doors. Omar was there in less than 10 minutes, and finished the job just as quickly. Thanks Omar. read more

Terrible customer service and extreme lack of professionalism. Ordered a product from their online site and after 3 days in a row of calling the owner he said he'd have the product out and would provide tracking info. Each day he said he'd have the product out that day. I cancelled my payment, don't have time to deal with poorly run businesses. Ended up buying my product from betterdoor.com read more

Lost my last key for all of our property locks that were keyed the same. They were so great! They were able to make a key impression from one of my locks and saved my life- and expedited it on a Saturday, no less! Highly recommended read more

This guy is absolutely amazing :-) I had lost my car keys in the past and I nevvvver just call any locksmith or just any service provider/company I ALWAYS SHOP AROUND But when you do that the service suffers Not with this guy He showed up on time After hours on a Sunday a little late in the evening He got the job taken care of made me a key and programmed it for me The dealership and every locksmith had told me "YOU HAVE TO ORDER THE KEY FROM THE DEALERSHIP NO OTHER WAY" Well guess what He did it all for half the price of the other locksmith and far far less then what the dealership was asking About one tenth the price 10% Now that's all wonderful butttt 3 years later I had a car seating and the keys had lost the key code And when I called him to come over and make me a set of new keys He told me (you don't need it) Is your battery dead and I said yes And he told me once you put in a new battery it will auto reprogram the key I couldn't believe it So I called the dealership service department also known as unscrupulous shady con artists Told me oh no you need to order the keys and the key fab and it's $1275 dollars So I figured before I do that I'll install a new battery I'll need it anyway So I did and turned the key and that sweet beautiful roaring sound of the engine came on after four years So nice little surprise Now I have a little cheeching $$$ in my pocket and I'm sure I'll find something to do with it Thank you Omar A++ :-) read more

It took a few calls to find a locksmith who could help, and I'm so glad I found this one! We recently bought a car that only came with one key and needed a spare for peace of mind. He was friendly, answered all my questions, and gave me a quote over the phone. When I arrived, the service was quick, easy, and hassle-free. Highly recommend! read more

Thank Goodness for Omar @ Golden Locks Inc!! On a desperate Saturday afternoon, and holiday weekend!!! EASTER WEEKEND- My car key fob had been acting up for a few weeks, but that day, it decided it wanted to lock me out completely! Unacceptable!!! So, I called my local car dealership first, it was about 1:12PM. They were Completely NO Help, they closed at 2PM and were not accepting anymore service orders. So then, I called AAA for a referral/ reference. Had to wait for a callback from the company they suggested. They connected me to a locksmith who said they could not help me because they were in RIVERSIDE (NOT LOCAL AT ALLLL!!) and that "my issue was not an emergency". They could only assist if I was in a "real true emergency, thats how AAA helps, in emergency situations only"...Really. Well, it sure as heck was an "emergency" to me... It's getting later and later on a Saturday holiday weekend, and I've got NO help yet. After a half frantic Yelp and Google search, I ended up calling five places- One guy was nice, with fair pricing, but he was currently at OC Orange Co. swapmeet working at a booth and I would have to come to him by 2:45PM. Another place referred me to call a company in Los Alamitos. I did not. Another guy couldn't do it, so he referred me to another man who was confusing, hard to understand, and expensive. He quoted me different prices and scenarios, said the work was "not guaranteed" also, he was waay pricier than the others. F I N A L L Y -- after all that, the right call was made. We found Omar at Golden Locks!! Omar gave me one, clear, transparent fair price. No confusion. I even called him back before I came to make sure he quoted me right!! He asked me to send him a picture of my key fob, and nothing changed. All was well and good. When we got there, Omar was right outside the shop working in his mobile unit. He happened to be working by himself at the moment, he said one of his workers left early, around 12, but it actually got quite busy for a late Saturday afternoon. By now, it was 2:30PM. There were two people ahead of me, one after me, and another came up while we were waiting. We waited for a bit, but it wasn't excessive or extensive, and the wait was even shorter once Omar got to my vehicle. Thankfully, he solved my key fob emergency fairly quickly, at the same wonderful price he quoted me over the phone before my arrival, gave me a brand new key fob, said he could reprogram/ repair my old broken defunct one and even said he could help us out with more keys for our other vehicle. I cannot thank you enough, Omar!!! You really really came through for me in the clutch !! We will definitely be back soon : ) THANK YOU SO MUCH read more

Services were good! Request filled. Best value in the area. It took me longer to get there (4miles) than it took Omar to cut and program 2 honda keys. read more

Wow, here you sound professional, but on the phone, you did not explain any of this to me. You did not tell me that you were going to set the ignition to where there's only one key. You did not explain any of this. You didn't even explain anything to me in person.. you also dented the front of my hood! And broke that stick that holds my hood up! You do not take value and pride in your work because you would've fixed this problem. You did not tell me that you gave me a broken key that does not open and lock my door. And you called me a bitch multiple times on the phone. I do not recommend anyone to come to this place. I stand firm in my truth. read more

Omar at Golden Locks is super helpful and caring. He saved me a ton of money by recommending trying a different plan of action on my car that meant he would miss out on being needed but that would save me a major purchase and repair. This was despite him already having taken his time to research my particular vehicle. It seems indeed rare that a business truly puts the customer first. Also the time prior to this when we needed a lock smith, he gave us quick service at a really great price. He certainly has earned my family's loyalty and I can highly recommend Golden Locks read more

FRAUD ALERT FILED WITH BANK ON THIS COMPANY. Ordered an ENCO Lockset and never delivered it. They (Mary Perez.employee) kept telling me to wait another week. After 6 weeks of waiting. They advised me they woulld refund my purchase in 5-7 days since they didn't have it in stock and hadn't received it from the manufacturer.. Waiited for a refund for 2 weeks and still no refund processed. They sent an email with a cancellation after the 2 weeks advising of a refund in 5-7 days more and still no refund 2 more weeks after. Total of 4 weeks now waiting for a refund on an order placed 2.5 months before. They are buying time, to steal your money. I contacted my bank and filed a claim and a FRAUD ALERT. read more

What a great company to work with. I ordered an EMTEK lock and did not get what I needed the first time. Omar took care of me, sent me a return label and ordered the replacement quickly. The value provided for what I spent was well worth it. I will be buying all my door hardware from Golden Locks from this point forward. Thank You! read more

tl,dr: Got the job done, short and sweet. Likes: + I called multiple key-making businesses on a Saturday afternoon. One turned out to be closed, another would take an hour to get to my location. Only Golden Locks answered right away and was available to help immediately. + The employee was able to immediately understand my needs and start duplicating the key with a handle. I just had to sit and wait for a couple mins. + The dupe unlocks my lock just as nicely as the original. A little better actually cuz the original doesn't have a nice handle. The service cost $55. read more

This company has no integrity! I ordered a hinge and was sent the wrong part. SCAM ALERT! I contacted them for a replacement lock. They sent two even after I wrote them and told the second order was a mistake as the first never showed as completed. After receiving both, ended up nt needing them as door was replaced. After multiple attempts to send back they finally just said ship them back. I did. They never contacted me. I finally get through again and they say the locks are damaged and show some bs pictures- not what they sent me or I sent back. Maybe if you are in the area and can deal in person they might be good - but NEVER - EVER order anything from them online. If they are this devious for something like this I'd suggest you not trust them with keys or locks to your doors that's for sure. So my review, slow Responding - Lying Scammers. read more

My car's remote control and key fob were stolen. Four days later, the thief attempted to drive my car out of our garage but failed. I was really worried the thief might come back that night and tried again. I needed to have my door lock re-keyed and have remote control re-programmed the same day. My dealer did not have time to do the work the same day and did not have key fob in stock ,and quoted me around $800 just to do onboard reprogramming. I rushed to Golden Locks in Huntington Beach close to the their closing time. They re-programmed my original and new remote controls, and modified my door lock cylinder to create two new keys in half an hour. I was only charged aruond $600. This company offers a lot of great products and delivers on them. AND they honor their return policy. All you have to do is 1) call, email and website-chat until you get a representative to confirm that the shipment arrived (I recommend saving all info regarding address, tracking, date, etc.); 2) pay to ship back the products(s) in resalable condition; 3) pay not only the actual cost of shipping the product(s) back to them but ALSO an arbitrary shipping cost that they assign for the return; 4) accept a substantial hit to your refund in the way of a restocking fee; 5) Repeat step 1 until you get an email confirming your refund. Please do yourself a favor and be certain of what you want to order from them as this return process is for the birds. read more

*update* After 6 weeks with absolutely no reason, they cancelled my order. Stating it isn't in stock after 6 weeks. Horrible horrible service! I placed on online order for a Mil Gard sliding door trim on May 11th. I called the next day to confirm the small order and the female said she would email me the tracking number. After 2 weeks of waiting on an email or delivery, I called again. The female assured me again that it would go out and email me a tracking. Last week June 14 I used their online inquiry for information. The next day a male called me and transferred me to the same female. She said the order came in damaged and she was going to reorder. I called the next day patiently asking for a follow up and she confirmed my email address, even sent me a quick email to make sure it was correct. After that...absolutely nothing! I was polite and patient each time when speaking with her. I never raised my voice nor was I at anytime disrespect. It's a small 45" sill molding. I really don't get it! I decided to call Mail Gard direct thinking maybe it's on back order. The rep confirmed it's in stock in both Southern California locations! At this point I feel I'm being discriminated against because there is absolutely nothing I did wrong! read more

Serviceman was not able to open the lock after 45 mins of fumbling around. Was not delicate with door and lock. Stated it was impossible to pick and would need to drill out lock.
