GrubHub order for pickup
Gretchen S.

Man, if I knew this place had a drive-thru I would have come by a lot sooner lol. It's so nice to find places like this and Don Pedro, for example, that will serve up a hearty meal and you don't even have to leave your car (and it's not McDonald's!). I recently ordered thru GrubHub and decided to go with the stew pork and stew chicken for my mom and I with steamed veggies on the side and rasta pasta. The dishes come with plantains, but you can order no rice and peas like we did, if you're trying to reduce your carbs. I also ordered us the ackee and saltfish, as I've been meaning to try the dish for awhile. When I pulled up to the drive-thru I was pleasantly greeted. I was told they didn't have any stew pork but would probably have more on the weekend and was told even though the app let me order the dish, the ackee/saltfish was only served during the mornings (which makes sense as I've heard this is usually a breakfast meal). The lady asked if I could come in and pick out my substitutions, so I did. They have a nice little eating area, a hot line with most of the selections ready, a fridge for desserts, an ice cream freezer with yummy sounding flavors like pistachio and rum raisin, and a fridge for beverages. They have a 96 A health score, which is always reassuring to see. The ladies working were all super friendly and helpful. I ended up getting the stew beef to sub for the pork and got a red velvet cake slice and mac and cheese to sub for the saltfish and ackee. They almost forgot my spicy beef patty I had also ordered, but thankfully for the attentive worker, she caught it before I left! I would've been sad had that not been in the bag lol. Everything was packed nicely and securely. No leaks or spills when I checked at home. I gotta say the portions are huge here, so although it's accurate that it's a little pricier, I'd say it's worth it. The seasoning, tenderness of the meats, and overall quality of the plates were great! The cake was also super moist! This is only the 4th Jamaican restaurant I've ever tried in my life, so I'm no expert, but my mom and I enjoyed every item we got. I have no complaints. Great customer service, good location with drive-thru, and good quality food - we'll definitely be back to try more!

Jerk Pork, Bhaji Rice and sweet plaintains. So good

Newly renovated during the pandemic, this new looking Golden Krust is so clean, full of Caribbean (jamaican) food, bakery and beverage options, and pleasant service. They give large portions and the prices are reasonable. There is a lot of free parking in front of the restaurant. Go there today!

Newly renovated. Has a lovely Caribbean feel and if you imagine you can probably feel the breeze and fresh air coming from the ocean when you stand near the koi pond. No, seriously there is a koi pond. Beautiful always clean and tidy inside dining area. Step up to cafeteria style counter. Most meals come with a meat, starch and vegetables. You name it they have it from oxtail to vegan friendly meals. You can even order a la carte items. All things being equal their fresh juices is where I get mesmerized. Cucumber, sorrel, ginger, pineapple even carrot. I'm getting thirsty just thinking about them. They have refrigerated drinks and snack items as well. And of course their world renowned patties. Flaky and fresh. Yum. Quarantine notes: order food delivery, drive thru -this may take some time so be patient. Only 10 people allowed inside at a time, so drive thru can get packed up. No worries, it's worth the wait. I just want to bottle up the chef and take him home. Never had a bad meal, ever!!!

I really enjoyed my experience here: fresh and delicious food, very adequate portions, prompt and friendly service, protein options for vegetarians, fresh juices and baked goods, good reggae music playing in the background. The premises was clean, well staffed and everyone was following health protocols, wearing masks and gloves. I often pick something very humble, like cabbage, as a culinary weathervane, my guide to determine the care and love put into the food at a restaurant. If the basic staples are neglected, bland or overlooked, this bodes badly for the rest of the menu; for as we know, a house cannot stand without a solid foundation, and the winds of Yelp reviews shall dash it upon the rocks of our brutal economy. The cabbage here was the rock of ages, a solid foundation for a menu, perfectly cooked and well seasoned, moist, revelatory, proving once again that it's often the unassuming under-spoken little person that'll surprise you as the toughest fighter, not the loudest person with the biggest muscles (Jerk Chicken, Braised Oxtail, Curry Goat). When done properly, as it was here, cabbage is mighty. With just the Rice and Peas and Cabbage alone I would have been happy, but with some Plantains, Beyond Meat Patties, and Curry, I temporarily found a deep sense of inner peace, a little spring of joy inside me to water my parched soul, true comfort food.

Where you go to order the food! Be quick cause the line does form real fast

First time having Jamaican & Caribbean food! My friend's family is from Jamaica and this is their 2nd go-to spot for when they want something close-by and already made. I bet when they open for dine-in (it's only take-out at the moment) it would be such an experience because the place was pretty clean with a pond outside! They also had a sandy area kind of like you're at the beach. If you're like me and are a newbie to Jamaican cuisine, you definitely need to check this place out. Pretty simple set-up where it's like Chipotle/Panda Express where they display all the food behind glass windows so you can choose what food you want in your "platter". You go to the start of the line and tell them what size platter you want or if you just want a container of one thing. I let my friend go first and she just tells them right off the bat what she wanted instead of them asking you which rice you want, what entrée, etc. They have menus w/ prices so you can decide what you want before you order! My friend and I got a small platter- I got the rice & peas, Curry Goat, cabbage, and plantains (around ~$12) while my friend got the same except she had oxtail (around ~$17). You might think you need a large but THEY FILL IT UP. They're really generous over here and will give you your money's worth! Also, I wasn't a big fan of cabbage or plantains but then I tried this- and wow. This is on another level of good. They make their plantains different from Mexican plantains and more like Columbians (delicious and worth to try!). Cabbage was seasoned well and I actually enjoyed it. Curry goat is pretty good with the meat juicy, fatty, and seasoned well. Although can have a weird aftertaste. On the other hand, the oxtail... definitely coming back for that oxtail! (It's a family favorites of my friend's family). Tip: Ask to pour the sauce over the rice! Also, get the rice & peas unless you get curry then order normal rice.

We visited Voss Lounge on Wednesday, April 1, excited for happy hour after seeing their Instagram flyer advertising $5 drinks, small apps, and hookah. Well...that's not exactly what we got. Once we arrived, we were told those $5 specials were actually for Tuesdays--not Wednesdays--and that detail was not clear on Instagram. I was told it was listed on their website, but let's be real...this is 2026--people are checking IG and TikTok, not websites. If you're promoting on social media, it needs to be accurate. We got there around 4:15 PM (happy hour starts at 4), and the place was empty--music wasn't even on yet. My party of four was seated right away, and we ordered drinks, food, and hookah. The lounge itself was beautiful--decked out in red and black with a really nice vibe. I had lemon drops and wings--both were actually really good. No complaints on the food or drink at all. But just know, the wings were not $5 since that special didn't apply that day. Now...the hookah experience? A complete mess. The hookah wasn't $5 either--it was $25 if I recall correctly. The hookah attendant recommended a flavor that was honestly not good at all. When we told her we didn't like it and asked to switch flavors (which we were willing to pay for), she tried to make us purchase a refill instead of simply fixing the issue. We asked to speak to a manager. She went to the back and spoke with someone who I later found out was the owner--but he never came out to address us. That alone didn't sit right with me. Instead, she came back, grabbed the hookah, and walked off. No explanation, no replacement--nothing. It felt like, "We won't charge you, but you're also not getting another one." That whole situation completely turned us off. Now I will give credit where it's due--our waitress was an absolute sweetheart. Friendly, attentive, and she did her best to take care of us. But overall, between the misleading Instagram promotion, the poor hookah experience, and the lack of management presence...this just wasn't it for me. Giving Voss 2/5 for good food, a beautiful space, and a great waitress Everything else? Needs work. Unfortunately, I won't be back!

A friend recommended this new spot because they offer $1.50 oysters and other happy hour specials on Thursdays. There were four of us in our party. While I didn't partake in the oysters, my group ordered them plate after plate and genuinely loved them. Our server (whose name escapes me) seemed overwhelmed. She took our drink orders, and despite the hefty $17 price tag, I ordered off the specialty cocktail menu. I chose the lychee spiked lemonade, but it tasted exclusively like sweet lemonade with zero alcohol......plus, it was the skinniest drink I've ever seen in my life. For my main, I ordered the honey-glazed lamb chops cooked medium. Three chops came out: one was very large and undercooked (more like medium-rare), which wasn't to my liking, though the flavor itself was good. The other two were cooked well-done, but by that point, we had already waited long enough for our drinks and food. The meal came with mashed potatoes, which were pretty decent, alongside a very underwhelming portion of broccoli. The vibe and atmosphere were nice, but I'm not sure I'd return. That said, it definitely seems like a great spot for oyster lovers.

Maybe an ode to traditional serving, but no one offered to cut the bread nor were we provided a bread knife... my dining mate didn't want to work that hard to get any bread... inconvenient and wasted. The salad... I wasn't at all a fan of the dressing. It was very vinegary and pungent... not at all balanced. The frites were cooked to pure perfection; however, they lacked seasoning. The steak... this is where I was totally disappointed. While the steak was cooked to the right temperature (medium rare), it was sooooooo chewy, no marble... I found myself spitting out tough parts. Maybe Whole Foods' grass fed ribeyes have me spoiled, but this wasn't at all what I would expect of a restaurant that specializes in steak. My beverages (tequila daisy and traditional margarita) were uneventful. I also didn't feel they were balanced. The customer service was excellent. Me and a few friends tried it and when I tell you this place is NOT what I thought, but in a good way! First off, our waiter Ted was fantastic. All of us were first timer so he broke everything down, gave us a few faces by patrons and his personal faves. He was patient with us and gave us the best customer service. The restaurant itself is very unique. I love they had a small seating area with a small stage close, there's a private dining area, a bar and table and booth seating. It's not a huge space but it is big enough to be comfortable and cozy. Wasn't loud and even when the artist came up to play music, it wasn't too loud it still blended well with the restaurant noise. Ted emphasized that everything in here is made from scratch except a few things. For starters we had fried okra and a colossal shrimp cocktail. They both were great starters. I had a whiskey sour as well which was really good. I had a hard time choosing but I wound up getting the prime rib sandwich with mashed potatoes, my sis did prime rib as well but with oxtail collard greens and my other sis had the surf and turf special. Everything was so good! It's a good portion of food. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the conversation. Downtown Stone Mountain has a hidden gem here, I'm already planning my trip back!

Just plain disbelief and raved about the kitchen and pride that goes into her food to later having to eat those words Again, limited menu what is up with the 4-5 items to chose from. I donot eat steak fries So I just ordered the burger - medium well - not burned and it had no venison mixed or blended meat added The burger came out with old brown tarnished lettuce I sent it back for fresh lettuce . She brought it back they added thousand island dressing when I specially asked for mayo on the side which was also provided. What is going on in the kitchen I took a bittersweet bite anyways and spat it out. Took my utensils which looks like a switch blade in a fairly nice restaurant. bad esthetics decisions I knifed out The center of the uncooked raw meat of the burger and waited patiently for the nice lady to find her way back over to me I offered to just pay and leave. She ask what was the problem . I uncovered the burger and allowed her to witness fir herself Her face turned beet red and quickly said no charge and stormed off to her kitchen where I am sure like "The Oak" there was a Waffle House griller reject acting as a chef " Pictures attached : I can't make my Experiences UP! #SMH you just can't get what you pay for anywhere these days Me being a restaurant consultants. Inside: The restaurant is charming, cozy, and still feels modern, with both patio and indoor seating available. Plus, if you're not planning to go with a big group, they have plenty of bar seating. There's also plenty of free parking in the parking deck behind the restaurant/building. Service: Despite having a large party, our server, Maddie, was very efficient, kind, and attentive. While we were waiting for several of our party members to arrive, she quickly started us off with drinks. She maintained that same level of attentive service throughout the entire evening, from appetizers and entrees to dessert. Orders were placed quickly, and she was also quick to clear the table between courses to make sure we had enough space. Pricing: Pricing is probably about middle range. It's not necessarily going to break the bank, but if you're looking for something super cheap, this isn't it. We were able to pay for our own items/split the check, which is always great with a large party. A lot of restaurants don't offer that option when dealing with a bigger group. On average, I'd say you could spend anywhere from $30-$50 per person, depending on what you order and whether you get a drink (specifically alcohol). Food & Drinks: The star of the show and the reason you're really reading this review lol. The first time I came with my family, we tried the fried green tomatoes and chicken potstickers. The second time we came, we ordered the exact same appetizers. That alone should tell you how much we enjoyed them lol. I also ordered the same entrée I had the first time: the Georgia Fried Chicken. It is SO delicious. The chicken is tender, juicy, and has the perfect batter. It comes with macaroni (2nd time I got truffle fires) and Brussels sprouts, which are just as equally tasty. The portion size is very hearty, so I definitely think the price ($26) is worth it. Everyone in our party enjoyed the food, drinks, dessert, and atmosphere. We all agreed that Park 82 is a restaurant we'd definitely go back
