GrubHub order for pickup
Gretchen S.

Man, if I knew this place had a drive-thru I would have come by a lot sooner lol. It's so nice to find places like this and Don Pedro, for example, that will serve up a hearty meal and you don't even have to leave your car (and it's not McDonald's!). I recently ordered thru GrubHub and decided to go with the stew pork and stew chicken for my mom and I with steamed veggies on the side and rasta pasta. The dishes come with plantains, but you can order no rice and peas like we did, if you're trying to reduce your carbs. I also ordered us the ackee and saltfish, as I've been meaning to try the dish for awhile. When I pulled up to the drive-thru I was pleasantly greeted. I was told they didn't have any stew pork but would probably have more on the weekend and was told even though the app let me order the dish, the ackee/saltfish was only served during the mornings (which makes sense as I've heard this is usually a breakfast meal). The lady asked if I could come in and pick out my substitutions, so I did. They have a nice little eating area, a hot line with most of the selections ready, a fridge for desserts, an ice cream freezer with yummy sounding flavors like pistachio and rum raisin, and a fridge for beverages. They have a 96 A health score, which is always reassuring to see. The ladies working were all super friendly and helpful. I ended up getting the stew beef to sub for the pork and got a red velvet cake slice and mac and cheese to sub for the saltfish and ackee. They almost forgot my spicy beef patty I had also ordered, but thankfully for the attentive worker, she caught it before I left! I would've been sad had that not been in the bag lol. Everything was packed nicely and securely. No leaks or spills when I checked at home. I gotta say the portions are huge here, so although it's accurate that it's a little pricier, I'd say it's worth it. The seasoning, tenderness of the meats, and overall quality of the plates were great! The cake was also super moist! This is only the 4th Jamaican restaurant I've ever tried in my life, so I'm no expert, but my mom and I enjoyed every item we got. I have no complaints. Great customer service, good location with drive-thru, and good quality food - we'll definitely be back to try more!

Jerk Pork, Bhaji Rice and sweet plaintains. So good

Newly renovated during the pandemic, this new looking Golden Krust is so clean, full of Caribbean (jamaican) food, bakery and beverage options, and pleasant service. They give large portions and the prices are reasonable. There is a lot of free parking in front of the restaurant. Go there today!

Newly renovated. Has a lovely Caribbean feel and if you imagine you can probably feel the breeze and fresh air coming from the ocean when you stand near the koi pond. No, seriously there is a koi pond. Beautiful always clean and tidy inside dining area. Step up to cafeteria style counter. Most meals come with a meat, starch and vegetables. You name it they have it from oxtail to vegan friendly meals. You can even order a la carte items. All things being equal their fresh juices is where I get mesmerized. Cucumber, sorrel, ginger, pineapple even carrot. I'm getting thirsty just thinking about them. They have refrigerated drinks and snack items as well. And of course their world renowned patties. Flaky and fresh. Yum. Quarantine notes: order food delivery, drive thru -this may take some time so be patient. Only 10 people allowed inside at a time, so drive thru can get packed up. No worries, it's worth the wait. I just want to bottle up the chef and take him home. Never had a bad meal, ever!!!

I really enjoyed my experience here: fresh and delicious food, very adequate portions, prompt and friendly service, protein options for vegetarians, fresh juices and baked goods, good reggae music playing in the background. The premises was clean, well staffed and everyone was following health protocols, wearing masks and gloves. I often pick something very humble, like cabbage, as a culinary weathervane, my guide to determine the care and love put into the food at a restaurant. If the basic staples are neglected, bland or overlooked, this bodes badly for the rest of the menu; for as we know, a house cannot stand without a solid foundation, and the winds of Yelp reviews shall dash it upon the rocks of our brutal economy. The cabbage here was the rock of ages, a solid foundation for a menu, perfectly cooked and well seasoned, moist, revelatory, proving once again that it's often the unassuming under-spoken little person that'll surprise you as the toughest fighter, not the loudest person with the biggest muscles (Jerk Chicken, Braised Oxtail, Curry Goat). When done properly, as it was here, cabbage is mighty. With just the Rice and Peas and Cabbage alone I would have been happy, but with some Plantains, Beyond Meat Patties, and Curry, I temporarily found a deep sense of inner peace, a little spring of joy inside me to water my parched soul, true comfort food.

Where you go to order the food! Be quick cause the line does form real fast

First time having Jamaican & Caribbean food! My friend's family is from Jamaica and this is their 2nd go-to spot for when they want something close-by and already made. I bet when they open for dine-in (it's only take-out at the moment) it would be such an experience because the place was pretty clean with a pond outside! They also had a sandy area kind of like you're at the beach. If you're like me and are a newbie to Jamaican cuisine, you definitely need to check this place out. Pretty simple set-up where it's like Chipotle/Panda Express where they display all the food behind glass windows so you can choose what food you want in your "platter". You go to the start of the line and tell them what size platter you want or if you just want a container of one thing. I let my friend go first and she just tells them right off the bat what she wanted instead of them asking you which rice you want, what entrée, etc. They have menus w/ prices so you can decide what you want before you order! My friend and I got a small platter- I got the rice & peas, Curry Goat, cabbage, and plantains (around ~$12) while my friend got the same except she had oxtail (around ~$17). You might think you need a large but THEY FILL IT UP. They're really generous over here and will give you your money's worth! Also, I wasn't a big fan of cabbage or plantains but then I tried this- and wow. This is on another level of good. They make their plantains different from Mexican plantains and more like Columbians (delicious and worth to try!). Cabbage was seasoned well and I actually enjoyed it. Curry goat is pretty good with the meat juicy, fatty, and seasoned well. Although can have a weird aftertaste. On the other hand, the oxtail... definitely coming back for that oxtail! (It's a family favorites of my friend's family). Tip: Ask to pour the sauce over the rice! Also, get the rice & peas unless you get curry then order normal rice.

I just left here. The food is pretty damn good . And they had some pretty ladies working in there too lol. But the food is pretty good but a little high on the price. So I'm still coming back

We visited Voss Lounge on Wednesday, April 1, excited for happy hour after seeing their Instagram flyer advertising $5 drinks, small apps, and hookah. Well...that's not exactly what we got. Once we arrived, we were told those $5 specials were actually for Tuesdays--not Wednesdays--and that detail was not clear on Instagram. I was told it was listed on their website, but let's be real...this is 2026--people are checking IG and TikTok, not websites. If you're promoting on social media, it needs to be accurate. We got there around 4:15 PM (happy hour starts at 4), and the place was empty--music wasn't even on yet. My party of four was seated right away, and we ordered drinks, food, and hookah. The lounge itself was beautiful--decked out in red and black with a really nice vibe. I had lemon drops and wings--both were actually really good. No complaints on the food or drink at all. But just know, the wings were not $5 since that special didn't apply that day. Now...the hookah experience? A complete mess. The hookah wasn't $5 either--it was $25 if I recall correctly. The hookah attendant recommended a flavor that was honestly not good at all. When we told her we didn't like it and asked to switch flavors (which we were willing to pay for), she tried to make us purchase a refill instead of simply fixing the issue. We asked to speak to a manager. She went to the back and spoke with someone who I later found out was the owner--but he never came out to address us. That alone didn't sit right with me. Instead, she came back, grabbed the hookah, and walked off. No explanation, no replacement--nothing. It felt like, "We won't charge you, but you're also not getting another one." That whole situation completely turned us off. Now I will give credit where it's due--our waitress was an absolute sweetheart. Friendly, attentive, and she did her best to take care of us. But overall, between the misleading Instagram promotion, the poor hookah experience, and the lack of management presence...this just wasn't it for me. Giving Voss 2/5 for good food, a beautiful space, and a great waitress Everything else? Needs work. Unfortunately, I won't be back!

They were super busy at all locations since tens of thousands of people flocked to Atlanta last weekend, which I'm fine with because they were busy last year when I went as well. Right after we had ordered, they actually stopped taking orders for a bit so they could clear the place out! My food was done probably in 20 or 30 minutes, looked great when it was shown to me, but after eating it, I can say that the chicken was quite literally the only good part. The rice and vegetables tasted like it was bought in the freezer section at a store, definitely not fried fresh and you can tell the difference. I ended up only eating the chicken and throwing the rest away. Running a place with high demand I can understand if it is from the freezer because orders need to go out in a timely manner, but it was unacceptable and really surprised me coming from you guys. I'll still give my business to you, but I'll never get the Hibachi again.

This place is an absolute no! I don't care about hype, newness, or happy hour specials. If you have no food! And the service is trash! Keep it. Went here for happy hour, I think an oxtail item they were out of, and the $1.50 oysters. Ofc the bar for this to be new, felt old in there. The place was semi full, but had limited servers and 1 bartender. The manager spent his time correcting tabs, apologizing to guests, and scolding servers. Our server was a couch chewer for sure. This girl kept forgetting our drinks, and some of the items we ordered and lied about the food wait times. We spent entirely too long in there waiting for food and drinks. A shift change, not my problem. Be efficient. Sad part is, the food was really good, specifically the oysters when we finally got them, and the stir fry rice. My drink was weak, my salmon burger had a nice texture, it was fresh, but dry and flavorless. No need to return. I have countless places to try happy hour menus with oysters, if you put service above all else as I do, this is a no. The manager ended up comping our oysters as well and shared his frustration. I felt for him. They need to fix it.

I was a bit surprised to see that they were pretty empty inside (6:30pm on a Saturday seems like prime time), but the ambiance was pleasant, nonetheless. Our server was knowledgeable and walked us through the wine list -- I always appreciate when they don't just recommend the most expensive bottles. We ended up ordering a Sazerac and Corpse Reviver, but wished we had ordered wine. The drinks were both pretty warm, and it may be the first time ever that we've left cocktails unfinished. The bread and salad came out, and both were delicious. Our server did warn us that the cheese on the salad was not pasteurized, which seemed like a strange choice for a restaurant, but oh well. For such a simple salad, it was excellent. The bread and butter were great, too, but the olive oil tasted a bit rancid to me. Soon after we finished the bread and salad, our steak frites were served. I am normally a filet girl, through and through, but the NY Strip was so tender and flavorful that I forgot I wasn't eating a filet. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare, and despite the other reviews, the serving was plenty -- 7-8oz each. The fries were so good that I couldn't quit eating them, long after I was full. The garlic aioli and béarnaise sauce were delicious, as well. Definitely worth the $49/person! I found it a bit frustrating that the restroom was downstairs in their sister restaurant, Little Sparrow, but it wasn't really an issue. Overall, good food, good service, great ambiance, but the cocktails could use some work. Will probably return, but it's not at the top of my list.
