Hubby & I played golf today. Tee time 9:48am. Spaced 12 minutes out I was informed. We decided on a later tee time thinking we'd avoid folks getting in a game prior to going to work. Well, we played with two guys who were going to work afterwards. They were friendly. All was good. It was a beautiful morning. The sun was out. We could see the Pacific Ocean from atop hole 5. We finished in 90 minutes. Then hubby & I decided we'd eat onsite as they've got a grill and beer on tap. We wanted to order the burger dog made famous at the Olympic Club. There's indoor and outdoor seating. We ate in as I'd forgotten my sunglasses in the car. The last time I had a burger dog was at the food concession at Chase Center. This one as just as good. Served on a soft hot dog bun. And dressed with mustard, ketchup, chopped onions, relish, and pickles. We chose a canned beer rather than the draft. Then I wanted something sweet. Bought a chocolate chip cookie made from Butterlove bakery on Balboa St nearby. It was loaded with chocolate chips. A very crisp cookie. Nice. A perfect finish to a perfect outing at a much improved golf course.

Golfed here last Thursday. Typical overcast that Sunset is known for. But a fantastic day for golf on a stunning course in great shape. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. I was visiting from Boston and was very impressed with the conditions of the course and the layout. Definitely the best bang for the buck on a par three. Can't wait to come back! (also, 100 range balls for ten bucks!).

Commemorative souvenir hat and Regular Hot Dog that was really good after a round.

I heard this was newly rennovated and wanted to check it out myself. I started golfing 2 years ago and only told myself I would play SF courses when I have a decent swing and iron game. This course was beautiful. Hawks overhead and views of the city and ocean on the horizon. Well maintained and amazing greens. Hawks also hunting gophers was a sight to see while teeing off. The course play itself was really fun. Plenty of fun shots to take but beware of how challenging the putting greens are. Had plenty of bogeys from my three putts, but that's what makes it fun! Got paired with two great locals of SF like myself and they are the best reason why I love folks who play golf. They emphatized me being new to playing and gave me plenty of tips about the round and course etiquette and play. Super thankful for that. The pro shop was very clean and modern. You can find awesome parts 3 Sunday Golf bags here with logo of the course on it too. Pretty neat. I tried the hotdog on the menu and everyone on the staff was so hospitable and professional I see why many players hang there before and after a round. Got myself a commemorative GGP Golf Course Hat for my first time playing here. Will be back again with my normal playing buddies!

I've always loved playing this course. It's beautiful, quaint, and always a great experience until today 10/13/25. Disappointing because of an interaction with an employee who seemed really unhappy to be there with his stale, negative attitude/vibe. It changed the energy of the roun. I hope management can figure out that this guy hates his job or train on creating a more positive and welcoming atmosphere for both staff and guests.

Awesome 9 hole course. It is walking but not too difficult. Brand new clubhouse and course.

I really enjoy this course. I'm a beginner golfer, live in San Francisco, and started playing when this course closed for renovation so I was excited when it finally opened up. I appreciate it as a well kept par 3, there aren't many! The course itself is short, I think the longest hole is under 160 and most of the holes are around 120, but the putting is tough! Lots of slope. Not flat at all so you'll have to bring your A game and where you land on the green really matters. My favorite holes are 5 and 6. One goes down hill and the other up hill coming back up. 2 and 3 are awesome too. The surrounding trees become more prominent there and it feels like you're not in a city all of a sudden but tucked away somewhere in the woods playing golf. It's perfect. I also appreciate the short game area here. There's one for chipping and another for putting and are relatively not busy, at least in the morning. My only advice, book early, it's hard to get a tee time as it's really popular. And if you're an intermediate golfer and above, get an early tee time as the pace of play can be slower later in the day. Shout out to the staff , super nice. They answered all my questions. Gave a good brewery recommendation too. Only feedback I have, is I wish they had earlier tee times but not a big deal.

Great 3 par executive course. Well taken care of greens. Clubhouse has a good selection of beer and some really cool swag. The rental caddies are top notch.

Stagecoach Greens is a super cute date spot or family night out spot. I dropped by recently (on a…read moredate!) and was utterly charmed by the set design of each mini golf course. I loved the walk through SF's history, and felt engaged at every hole. I like billiards so I loved one of the later holes that challenged you to use your putter as a pool cue. The actual square footage of the course is not very big, but they pack a lot in the space they got. I didn't try the food or drinks but there was ample seating. Drinks but not food were allowed on the course itself. All in all not a bad way to spend $20 for a fun evening!

Usually, I pass the slow people and jump to different holes out of order then come back, but I started early and was in no rush to finish, so I just kept myself busy while waiting for groups ahead of me, including a large party of 6 who kept causing a delay. The boom & bust course was made up of interesting props and decor representing SF landmarks and settings throughout time. Every hole had a starting point with little descriptions and buttons that could be pressed to hear about the history or fun facts about each scene. But only some of the buttons worked. Overall the holes were pretty easy, so for most I got a hole in one or two, but at least the sets were amusing, to keep it interesting. Some of my faves were the Barbary Coast Saloon with old-town piano music playing inside, the Gold Rush Graveyard which has a coffin that opens and lights up, though I think there's a specific hole that activates it (I got it in the left and nothing happened), Alpha In The Air with skyscrapers battling it out, and Spirit of Invention where players are instructed to use their putter as a pool cue (this was different). Some parts were broken and/or closed off, such as one of the Sierra Tunnels Mining Co. tracks covered with blue tape. But the place was in good condition altogether, the 18-hole course not bad at all.

This was my first time playing the course in like 8 years, and I forgot how beautiful this course is. The course itself is on the tougher side, but fun for all skill levels. It definitely challenges all different parts of your game. Even with the rain, the course drained pretty well. Bunkers were in a good shape (I'd know, I hit into plenty of them lol) Something I never experienced before in all the years playing golf was that I had to share a cart with a random player. I got paired with a group of 3, so I ended up sharing a cart with the 3rd. Luckily I'm comfortable enough to do this and the guys I played with were fun. It's something to think about if you are a single, that you might have to share a cart with a stranger. If that's not your thing, I'd prolly walk with a push cart. It's a hilly course but it's a good walk. Pace of play is a bit slow (expected on the weekends) so plan for a 5+ hour round. They had some issues with the conditions of the greens, which is much better now than it was back in the fall but at the time of writing this, they are offering a 15% off green fees, which is notated on their booking website. Recently they made a change to their parking lot, where you have to pay ($3/hr or $15/all day). On top of the green fee, you'll have to pay $15 just to park. I get it's to support the Presidio but with the green fees the prices they are I feel like that's plenty of support. Not a deal breaker but definitely carpool if you can do your group can save some cash for drinks at the turn instead. Overall, as I try to play every course in the Bay Area, price aside, is easily one of the most beautiful public courses you'll find in the Bay Area. Definitely will be playing again.

This is an older muni course (maybe 100 years old) but renovated within the last 25 years to make…read moreit PGA Tour sanctioned, so tournaments could be played here. Very rare for a muni course to be given these specs. So now this ain't your basic muni course anymore, it is now more premium...in greenkeeping, in price and demand to play. This was my first time playing on SF soil and I play almost weekly. I've played a few spots in Monterey, Half Moon Bay and this course has visually the same terrain, with coastal wet mornings and cypress trees all over. Now this course has no ocean views, but Lake Merced is visible from a few holes. I was enamored with the cypress tree lined fairways and the beautifully maintained grass all over. Now with all this high level groundskeeping, though beautiful is also where all the challenge is here. Because this course is fairly flat, they're using the cut of the grass to be the challenge or the penalty. The rough cuts here are borderline insane. A good challenge for a pro/near scratch golfer but very penalizing and difficult for an average to high handicapper. A 3 inch rough doesn't sound too bad, but it is long enough that if your ball touches this rough it will 1) be hard to find, unless you are on top of it; 2) lose any roll/distance as once in this rough, the ball will catch and stop, giving you a longer distance for your next shot; 3) it is hard to make a connection in this rough so that next shot will usually not be flush/ideal. So the basic gist of this place is 'stay away from the rough'. But for an average golfer that is just so improbable. Even a nice shot to a green that may miss just by a couple of feet could easily find this rough. And to be that close and to have a very difficult shot as a result, is just too much for me to swallow. Just took the fun out of the game...for me. So a tad too difficult for me, also pricier than what I could do on a weekly basis. $150 to walk on a weekend. My regular golf buds and I usually play much performance friendly courses for about $70ish. So this is definitely more of a special occasion type place. I still want to come back someday and see how I fare now that I know how things roll...or more accurately how they don't.

We played scramble tournament, but still got a good sense of the course difficulty with a good mix of some very challenging holes and short easier holes, with medium rough that can get more sticky in certain places further from the fairway - course requires some accuracy but playable. The greens probably aren't as fast as you see on TV -- maybe around a 10 still and not easy, but playable. Of course the famous burger dogs are a MUST here. Combined with the nice weather, the course is dry and playing faster than normal. I wish they'd maintain the course like this year round because if the greens were as a good as they were this past weekend, it'd be one of the best deals for public golf in the Bay Area. Plus you can't beat the views on a clear day of the Golden Gate Bridge. We came here this past Sunday without a tee time and were able to get 2some out with minimal wait. Making a tee time in advance is definitely recommended but if you are looking for a last minute way to get out to the course, walking on is possible. Since it was a hot day, we decided to get a power cart which is $50 for two people. It's a cart-path only course, which is a bummer but since it doesn't typically drain well, it makes sense. $50 for a cart is kinda steep considering the carts are standard and don't provide any type of GPS or anything. The course is very hilly, so even with a push cart, it can be a strenuous walk.
