The golf course is absolutely stunning, its incredibly maintained and well run. The staff is particularly helpful and friendly, big shoutout to Michael in the Pro shop who went above and beyond.

Green, nature and scenic to take in! Relaxing sport and spacious. Driver range is pleasant when one wants to swing and practice. There's a whole variety of golf activities to do here. Nice outing and putting skills to the test!

I had a good time golfing at the Presidio a few weeks back. It was a pretty well kept course and fun to play. Some things I liked: 1. Well kept fairways. They improved their drainage so the course was in good condition. 2. Some really nice views of the city from a few of the holes. Some things I didn't like: 1. Pricey compared to the other nice courses. I dont think its on par with the likes of Half Moon bay or Monterey courses. 2. Parking is horrible. Very limited especially when there are events. 3. Hard to get to unless you live or are already in the city.

Presidio Golf Course has a beautiful golf course. My friend and I went to the driving range on a Thursday. We purchased a bucket of 100 golf balls to share for $16.48. Finding the driving range was super easy. We will definitely be back!

Stagecoach Greens is a super cute date spot or family night out spot. I dropped by recently (on a…read moredate!) and was utterly charmed by the set design of each mini golf course. I loved the walk through SF's history, and felt engaged at every hole. I like billiards so I loved one of the later holes that challenged you to use your putter as a pool cue. The actual square footage of the course is not very big, but they pack a lot in the space they got. I didn't try the food or drinks but there was ample seating. Drinks but not food were allowed on the course itself. All in all not a bad way to spend $20 for a fun evening!

I enjoyed a round of minigolf this past Saturday before closing time, after grabbing a meal at…read moreSpark Social SF. Usually, I pass the slow people and jump to different holes out of order then come back, but I started early and was in no rush to finish, so I just kept myself busy while waiting for groups ahead of me, including a large party of 6 who kept causing a delay. The boom & bust course was made up of interesting props and decor representing SF landmarks and settings throughout time. Every hole had a starting point with little descriptions and buttons that could be pressed to hear about the history or fun facts about each scene. But only some of the buttons worked. Overall the holes were pretty easy, so for most I got a hole in one or two, but at least the sets were amusing, to keep it interesting. Some of my faves were the Barbary Coast Saloon with old-town piano music playing inside, the Gold Rush Graveyard which has a coffin that opens and lights up, though I think there's a specific hole that activates it (I got it in the left and nothing happened), Alpha In The Air with skyscrapers battling it out, and Spirit of Invention where players are instructed to use their putter as a pool cue (this was different). Some parts were broken and/or closed off, such as one of the Sierra Tunnels Mining Co. tracks covered with blue tape. But the place was in good condition altogether, the 18-hole course not bad at all.

Very rare for a muni course to be given these specs. So now this ain't your basic muni course anymore, it is now more premium...in greenkeeping, in price and demand to play. This was my first time playing on SF soil and I play almost weekly. I've played a few spots in Monterey, Half Moon Bay and this course has visually the same terrain, with coastal wet mornings and cypress trees all over. Now this course has no ocean views, but Lake Merced is visible from a few holes. I was enamored with the cypress tree lined fairways and the beautifully maintained grass all over. Now with all this high level groundskeeping, though beautiful is also where all the challenge is here. Because this course is fairly flat, they're using the cut of the grass to be the challenge or the penalty. The rough cuts here are borderline insane. A good challenge for a pro/near scratch golfer but very penalizing and difficult for an average to high handicapper. A 3 inch rough doesn't sound too bad, but it is long enough that if your ball touches this rough it will 1) be hard to find, unless you are on top of it; 2) lose any roll/distance as once in this rough, the ball will catch and stop, giving you a longer distance for your next shot; 3) it is hard to make a connection in this rough so that next shot will usually not be flush/ideal. So the basic gist of this place is 'stay away from the rough'. But for an average golfer that is just so improbable. Even a nice shot to a green that may miss just by a couple of feet could easily find this rough. And to be that close and to have a very difficult shot as a result, is just too much for me to swallow. Just took the fun out of the game...for me. So a tad too difficult for me, also pricier than what I could do on a weekly basis. $150 to walk on a weekend. My regular golf buds and I usually play much performance friendly courses for about $70ish. So this is definitely more of a special occasion type place. I still want to come back someday and see how I fare now that I know how things roll...or more accurately how they don't.

Combined with the nice weather, the course is dry and playing faster than normal. I wish they'd maintain the course like this year round because if the greens were as a good as they were this past weekend, it'd be one of the best deals for public golf in the Bay Area. Plus you can't beat the views on a clear day of the Golden Gate Bridge. We came here this past Sunday without a tee time and were able to get 2some out with minimal wait. Making a tee time in advance is definitely recommended but if you are looking for a last minute way to get out to the course, walking on is possible. Since it was a hot day, we decided to get a power cart which is $50 for two people. It's a cart-path only course, which is a bummer but since it doesn't typically drain well, it makes sense. $50 for a cart is kinda steep considering the carts are standard and don't provide any type of GPS or anything. The course is very hilly, so even with a push cart, it can be a strenuous walk. Like I mentioned in the beginning, if you were thinking about playing Lincoln, now would be a great time since the course is in great condition.

Definitive pros and cons, but for the price and views it's pretty unbeatable in SF. Knocked one star because the greens were punched and we weren't told (as in, not even when checking in at the pro shop, found out on the green of hole 1).
