The Baked Bear is located in the Seaholm complex between Cesar Chavez and 3rd Streets near West Avenue. After a couple of samples, I decided on Blackberry Crumble. Our server was so sweet and kind including suggesting some of the shop's favorites. OMG the ice cream was so smooth...so flavorful...so absolutely delicious to eat. Its main goals are reflection, repentance, and renewal. After observing Lent, our treat was brunch at Ciclo (Four Seasons Hotel). Ciclo hosted Easter Brunch and an Easter Egg hunt including the hotel's lake-level ballroom. The celebration included live music and lawn activities for hotel and brunch guests. The brunch included a cold buffet, hot buffet, carving station, benedict station, and dessert buffet. You also could order customized omelets from your table. Ciclo's brunch features gluten-free and vegetarian choices. OMG...the Four Season's Hotel and Ciclo restaurant looked as though a lush bright flowered garden had been quietly grown there. Flowers spilled over every surface from the hotel's entrance to the Ciclo restaurant out onto the patio. The floral arrangements were stunning. They also served as a beautiful backdrop for photos. In addition, we ran into ole friends at brunch, which was a pleasant surprise. The standout for us was the lamb chops (one of my favorites) and callosal-sized shrimp. The sweet potatoes and ham were memorable as well with perfectly spiced sweet potatoes. All desserts were good today, however, the Oreo cheesecake and sugar cookies were the highlights. That said, the lychee raspberry is a knock out of the park -- absolutely LOVED it! It's the perfect combo of sweet from the lychee with just a bit of tang from the raspberry, and the chunks of lychee in it are absolutely delicious. It was like $8 including tax for the medium so it's not cheap, but it's a good sized cup. They also sell larger sizes (like by the pint I think), and chocolate with interesting flavors that is award-winning, so lots to try! The lady working there seemed hot/tired that day, but she was nice. The ambiance outside is also nice, as long as it's not too hot, since those picnic tables can end up being directly in the sun depending on the time of day and it is HOT. Although they were all good, my personal favorite was the lychee rose followed by the mango sticky rice. I liked the lychee pieces in the lychee rose gelato. The matcha had a good depth to the flavor but didn't stand out as much as the other flavors. Will be back to try more the next time we're in Austin!

For what reason, we haven't visited in sometime but decided to give it a try again since they are now a member of InKind. This place ended up being even better than I recall from our last visit! The service here was excellent, from the greetings at the door to the drink service, to the waitstaff, everyone was super attentive in our recent visit. We started the evening with some drinks, and I have to say that the "City Folk" beverage I ordered was a very delicious flip type drink. The focaccia with whipped butter is a hard appetizer to go wrong with, and the Wagyu beef carpaccio is also a great choice (in fact, these make a delicious combination). The melon apps are also quite good. For mains, we tried the moda famiglia (which was a very heathy serving size), the roasted oyster mushroom pizza (very good), Wagyu beef sausage (savory and mild meat), and rigatoni (honestly the mild horseradish cream really elevated this dish). Altogether there wasn't anything we didn't like. For dessert, we just got the house made chocolates, which were both fun to taste test and also quite delicious.
