As someone with germophobia, I typically shy away from self-service restaurants. Although it was a family decision to dine here, I was already feeling uneasy. Upon visiting the bathroom, I was met with unpleasant conditions - the largest stall was flooded with fecal matter, and the other toilets were similarly unclean, causing myself and other females to exit without using the restroom. Besides myself, I noticed one other person wearing the gloves provided for handling food plates and tongs. The young man serving our tables did an excellent job, being very attentive and even offered to set up the room divider for our family's privacy. read more

I had an EARLY breakfast this morning with some of my family and some co workers. The only time I will eat breakfast at Golden Corral is as soon as they're open at 7am sharp. Everything is fresh and not very many people re up and eating breakfast at that time. People usually start coming in around 8am, and I'm usually about ready to leave by that time. Not a lot you can say about Golden Corral, it's a buffet and a place with a lot of different food options, a little bit of something for everybody. Some of the lunch time items are out during breakfast, you can even get a soft serve ice cream cone. I had a cooked to order omelette with spinach, bell peppers, chopped tomatoes, and cheese. There's are plenty of items to choose from and juice is included with your meal. The 4 stars are for breakfast. I almost forgot, there's a waiter, his name is Juan. He is such a nice man, he keeps your drinks filled and you never want for anything when he's there. It's such a pleasant experience having breakfast, I even got a Merry Christmas(though it's not Christmas) from Juan, my response was Merry Christmas to you too! I've been to several golden corrals in the past but this one is my favorite. Definitely could be better but I'm still happy every time I come here. Fried chicken hot and fresh, mac and cheese on point, baked spaghetti has me slurping up endless noodz, desserts may cause diabetes and lots of variety on the salad bar to made a mean and clean salad if you know what i mean. Service is amazing as well. Parking is good. No complaints overall. I do have a question though, some days there is pasta noodles and marinara sauce and other days there is baked spaghetti. When do they serve baked spaghetti exactly??? It's a hit or miss when I come but i live for their baked spaghetti so please let a girl know!! read more

If buffet dining is your go to dining experience you'll probably post 5 stars. For a germaphobic you'd probably struggle the entire meal. I visit as my brood enjoys the HUGE and broad menu of options provided and as a mother that gets 5 stars yet my rating is based on a few things: lack of staff and tables full of dirty dishes, buffet bar needing a little TLC but kids are smiling. Food replenished quickly with minimum wait. Lines are confusing at times but patience and a smile goes a long way. Servers are working like robots ensuring full beverages and removing used plates. In the past when you had a birthday you could go in and show your ID and get a free birthday dinner with the purchase of a dinner at regular price. Last year when we went for a friend's birthday dinner, it was a little different in that they now have a birthday club so you have to join that. We agreed to do so and they allowed us to take our friend to dinner. Let me say that we eat at this restaurant on a regular basis - not just birthdays. Last weekend we wanted to take a friend to dinner, we had a party of eight. Three of us, the friend, myself and my husband arrived a few minutes before the rest of the party and the birthday friend had already joined the birthday club. When we got there they told us that now we had to print out on paper the coupon for the birthday person before we could use it! Terribly disappointed in the customer service at this restaurant. If you can afford to turn away seven paying customers, kudos to you. We called the rest of the party from the parking lot and went to Five Guys down the road and had a wonderful time. GC needs to understand that there are too many good restaurants in Easley to treat their customers this way. After the incident, I complained to corporate and got zip. While visiting friends they wanted to take us out to eat @ GC. The food at this location was pretty good. The fish & fries shrimp were really good. No complaints. The steak at the carving station was good. Everyone was friendly. My husband said it was better than the GC where we live, but they all taste similar to me. However the carrot cake was delicious. My experience today at the Easley Golden Corral was exceptional. The management and staff were extremely friendly and my kids loved the clown. The buffet was always full and fresh with all my favorites. What a bonus it was to have a lobster tail for only $4.99. Nowhere else can you find such a great deal. read more

My grandson wanted to go yesterday to this place for the salad bar as he loves salad. The last time I was here it wasn't good but we went and I have to say it was the worst 30.00 I spent in a long time. The salad bar part was ok then I went to get the dinner part. Nothing was appealing. Dry and looked like it was sitting there since the morning. The steak was dry. The greens had no flavor and the baked chicken was chewy. The Mac and cheese seemed to be a heat and serve. The rolls were ok. After I didn't eat any of that I went back to get spaghetti and the noodles were drenched in water and so when I got back to the table it was like soup. My grandson did enjoy his salad but that was about it also other than some candy corn from the dessert bar. Never again will I eat here and waste my money. read more

We went back to Golden Corral tonight and it was pretty great. The food is hot and fresh every time we go and the service has been fantastic every time. The grill operator even went above and beyond tonight. He didn't have a medium steak so he cooked one and brought a piece to my table. Our waitress was great with keeping our drinks and filled and empty plates taken away. She even tracked down a balloon animal for my little girl because we couldn't get the balloon man's attention. If you ever had a bad experience at this restaurant I highly suggest you try it one more time. You be disappointed. read more

We had a birthday party here that was scheduled in advance, upon arriving early to decorate we were told they had no record of it . I had arms loads of stuff as well as the cake . The cashier ask us to pay first . I asked him to let us put our stuff down and we would. We came back and paid . The waitress was fantastic. Her name was Mabel and she alone took care of 35 or so people. The buffet was ok certainly not work $13.99 . I definitely felt it was way overpriced. Then the same guy we paid sent someone to ask us to come pay AGAIN! Keep your receipt! We were over it . They saw our receipt and moved on but geesh . We would eat here again. My wife and I have visited Golden Coral restaurants in other cities and are generally pleased with the food and service. This location appears to be an older establishment but is clean and well maintained. Our table was visited by at least 3 members of the floor crew and I witnessed a manager working with others as well. The staff at this location was attentive and concerned with our stay. The food offered today was good and filling and consistent with the offerings at other locations. Overall this is a solid place to eat and if I lived nearby, I would visit often. read more

I normally am fine with this buffet and it is normally ok. Today we witnessed employees going to the bathroom and not washing their hands and returning back to work. Yes the one's that prepare the food. A week or two ago we saw a waitress not wash her hands or use the sanitizer but went straight back to refilling table's drinks . I saw cockroaches mating in the bathroom today...YUK ! ! A lot of the food had been sitting to long and some of it was just out and some of my party got tired of waiting for it to be replaced and gave up and left. I got a rude person dealing with food who thought is acceptable to give dirty looks to me and my child when I was getting a piece of fish because the tray moved a little that it was in. The restroom was not clean, three toilets were gross because they were not flushed and tissue paper was in the floor. We went in at 11:00 am on a Monday, opening time... There were a lot of elderly people that were having to walk on the wet floors, I feared someone might slip and fall. I myself had a hard time swimming around the buffet. Service and food was great and staff was very friendly. The bathroom was horrible with fingerprints all over the doors and walls and a stench that made me gag as soon as I walked in The toilet paper is so thin that I had to keep restarting the roll while sitting on a public toilet that I would normally prefer to hover over.... Dinner on 7/25/17. Terrible tasting food. Not how I remember any GC eaten at in my past. Steak was so tough, could not even cut. Macaroni and cheese nasty zucchini had a funny taste -nasty.
