The food itself is not bad but the customer service and the cleanliness of the restaurant is what gives it a two star rating.

Just good food but the selection is lacking in the entrees for this guy who does not eat chicken.

Looking for great homemade food, this is the place. You won't leave here hungry. Their fried chicken and Mac & cheese are the best!

Our favorite lunch spot. True southern cooking at very reasonable prices. The staff are wonderful as well.

I love that Okra and Tomato soup is served every day and it is quite good.

Love it here! It's an old style diner, been around for a very long time. Food is excellent, portion…read moreserved fills one up and price is inexpensive. I had the beef tips on rice, collard greens and sweet potato souffle. Beef tips were tender and juicy. The brown sauce that comes with it wasn't overly salted. The sides were tasty too. The rubber tree plant indoors is years old, sprawls the width of the store and then some. We enjoyed the experience here, looking forward to drop by many more times. The only down side for me was that the smell of the food was in the air. Left with a satisfied tummy but my jacket smelled of Pete's #6

Upon entry, everything looked good she brought us to the table. The first thing I noticed is the booth backside has some weird buttons that are broken and half hanging out of the seat which caught my shirt then we were agreed by a waitress who had absolutely no personality whatsoever. Because we were working all of us went to the restrooms to wash up. The restroom is old. The stall door does not lock properly, and I felt like it was just dingy and somewhat not lit properly and dirty. I ordered the baby club with onion rings my friend ordered the turkey plate with dressing. My baby turkey club was OK. It taste good but I wouldn't say it was exceptional. It was just average. I upgraded and paid extra for onion rings because I absolutely love onion rings however, I was very much disappointed in the onion Rings. First of all the coding on the onion rings is super thick and heavy when they were served to me the onion rings were cold with that thick layer of cornmeal. They were very tough and unappealing absolutely no flavor. You could barely taste the onion so then I decided to peel off all of the breading and try the onion within, and it was a fresh onion very sweet very good, but I was very disappointed. Lastly, my dish came with coleslaw. This to me was the absolute best coleslaw. I've had Don't a while and it was the hit of my dish and I absolutely loved it my partner at lunch. He liked his turkey with dressing meal. He said it was good but it wasn't fabulous or anything. It was just as he says it is what it is. I don't know that I'll go back. The only thing I may decide to do is if they serve breakfast, I may try them as a breakfast place and see if they do better.

My wife can't stand this place either. The place is clean and the presentation of the food looks great, but that's about it. I'm not exaggerating when I say their food is tasteless. I've tried them a few times just to be fair before judging them, but I have to say there are similar restaurants in Easley and Greenville that are better.

Move over lizard thicket...this is your competition. We ordered the special of the week, the c country steak along with the well, seasoned canned green beans, and the creamy mac & cheese. The country fried steak with its brown gravy was delicious. All of our food was super hot, and the waitress brought it to our numbered table. the service was gracious, and they checked back to see that our food was OK and whether we wanted a refill on our drinks. Zachary and GEORGE ordered burgers with french fries and onion rings. The burgers were not grilled, they were steamed. The fries and onion rings were crispy. George thought that the Batter was a bit too crispy and he couldn't taste the onion. On the other hand, Ellis and I thought the onion rings were crispy, hot and delicious. So if you want to know what we think, Ellis and I would say...order the house special of the week. George and Zachary say... best experience is looking at it in your rearview mirror. We had great fun writing our "four star" review.
