Turkey Bacon Sandwich with onion rings yum

Stopped in for lunch. Kinda stumbled onto This place. Staff was super friendly and the menu was good for lunch. I got fresh turkey sandwich and added bacon. Got onion rings for a side. It was awesome. I'll definitely be back.

This is the hidden gem of Greer. Michael and his family make you feel right at home with their warmth and service. Great little spot for some home cooked food. My family has been a frequent flyer for about 6yrs and we absolutely love this place. You won't leave disappointed or hungry, they take very great care of you. I will put Michael's cheeseburger up against any in town!

You will not leave hungry! Cheap delicious food. Pancakes are huge! 2 biscuits & gravy is enough to fill u up! Try the omelettes, the ham, sausage, it's all good! Friendly service!

Just drop by for a visit because I see this place is always busy. Looking forward to giving it a try as the owners and I'm selves are working in the kitchen and keeping a smile on the place. I'm confident it's going to be delicious and will let you know if it's not. Going to try an omelette this morning and take a piece of fried chicken with me.

    Sausage omelet with hash browns

Decent food and great service! I ordered the 3 egg sausage omelet with cheese, hash browns and a biscuit. I also ordered a side of home fries and gravy. The omelet was good and the sausage was fantastic. The onset was plenty big and cooked well. The hash browns were way better than the home fries. The biscuits were really good. Light and buttery but could use some fresh honey! The things that did not make the cut: -The home fries were just fried chunks of potato, like french fries, and had no seasoning. I think this is a SC thing, because I have yet to find anyone who actually makes home fries with seasoning... -The gravy was lacking, just a white gravy and PEPPER!!! Lots of fricken pepper. Not satisfying. - Bacon tasted nothing like bacon and was definitely cheap bacon. Tough and weird. -Scrambled eggs tasted weird. They lacked a normal egg consistency and flavor. Do not know if they use fresh eggs or liquid egg. The service was fantastic. Couldn't ask for faster service and knowledgeable staff. We will be back to try lunch.

Meat and 2 or 3 is great.

This place is great. Food, employees and Atmospher. A true great Southern hospitality I haven't seen In a long long time. Please stop by and bring a smile with you. Or if you don't I guarantee you'll leave with one.

If you live for the blue ridge aka dark corner then this is a go to place. My self my wife and two sons can eat here at breakfast for under 30 and be completely satisfied. We try to make it a family thing once a week. Three egg platter with hash browns and salmon patty is killer. Just go.

    Dinner is served.

The Clock has been here for over forty years. Longer than most marriages. Longer, certainly, than…read morethe one my parents had, which lasted closer to thirty years and ended, according to my father, because of a disagreement about a sectional sofa. I think about that sometimes. I think about it now, pulling into the parking lot, because there is something about a place that has simply endured that feels like a rebuke to everything that hasn't. Inside, locals from near and nearer move through the dining room, shaking hands with people who have been eating here for years. Years. I can't keep a houseplant alive for six months, and these people have been coming back, reliably, to this same place, to order the same food, for years. Chili cheeseburger after chili cheeseburger that creates a sense of togetherness and, at times, heart attacks. There's something almost painful about that kind of loyalty. Or maybe I'm just projecting. I find myself staring at the alternating layers of patty, chili, cheese, and I think onions for a moment before eating, the way you might stare at a word you've written too many times until it stops looking like a word. It is good. It is genuinely, embarrassingly good, in the way that things are good when they have not been overthought. And it was delicious in spite of health value. If you're eating at The Clock for health value, I direct you to the salads with prejudice. The menu runs from salads, to tacos, to hot dogs to a meat and three (or for those in Greer, a meat and four), which is not a range you encounter often in a single establishment. It is the culinary equivalent of a man who says he can fix anything. You are skeptical, and then you watch him fix the thing, and you don't know whether to be impressed or slightly ashamed of your own limitations. Ask anyone around town and they'll tell you about roller skating car hops, late night gatherings after high school games, real ice cream milkshakes. Nobody tells you stories like that about a place they didn't love. They're not telling you about the food. They're telling you about who they were when they ate it. I order the sweet tea. It arrives cold and correct. I'm certain my dentist has a handshake agreement with Jimmy that both will keep each other in business a long time. I will come back here, but not as often as I should. We all have our faults. The Clock has few.

Visiting some family in the Greenville area, we were just looking for a quick local lunch place…read morethat serves simple favorites like burgers and hot dogs. We found this place near by, and this is definitely the definition of a local dive. I mean that in a good way though, they're serving their community with good food at a good price. It won't blow you away, but you definitely are going to be happy with what you got. We did take out, a couple people ordered hot dogs, there was one bacon cheeseburger, and one club sandwich. Sides ranged from fries, onion rings, and fried okra. One thing I will definitely say, that was some DELICIOUS fried okra. Dip that in a little ranch dressing? For the win. The hot dogs were good, not great. I get spoiled by some truly remarkable hot dogs back home with buttered and grilled buns, so anything less than that will be hard to win. The chili was good, apparently in SC, a loaded hot dog is chili, mustard, onions. When I asked to add cole slaw (all the way in NC) the guy looked at me puzzled and said "... you want it like... on top?" Yes. Yes i do. I can't be the very first person to ask for that. Anyway. It's not much to look at, but it's the epitome of a locally owned business that will fill your belly if you just don't feel like cooking, but also don't want to be fancy. We'd go back.

Upon entry, everything looked good she brought us to the table. The first thing I noticed is the booth backside has some weird buttons that are broken and half hanging out of the seat which caught my shirt then we were agreed by a waitress who had absolutely no personality whatsoever. Because we were working all of us went to the restrooms to wash up. The restroom is old. The stall door does not lock properly, and I felt like it was just dingy and somewhat not lit properly and dirty. I ordered the baby club with onion rings my friend ordered the turkey plate with dressing. My baby turkey club was OK. It taste good but I wouldn't say it was exceptional. It was just average. I upgraded and paid extra for onion rings because I absolutely love onion rings however, I was very much disappointed in the onion Rings. First of all the coding on the onion rings is super thick and heavy when they were served to me the onion rings were cold with that thick layer of cornmeal. They were very tough and unappealing absolutely no flavor. You could barely taste the onion so then I decided to peel off all of the breading and try the onion within, and it was a fresh onion very sweet very good, but I was very disappointed. Lastly, my dish came with coleslaw. This to me was the absolute best coleslaw. I've had Don't a while and it was the hit of my dish and I absolutely loved it my partner at lunch. He liked his turkey with dressing meal. He said it was good but it wasn't fabulous or anything. It was just as he says it is what it is. I don't know that I'll go back. The only thing I may decide to do is if they serve breakfast, I may try them as a breakfast place and see if they do better.
