Yelpers, I went to this restaurant and the food was so delicious and seasoned to perfection. Me and my mom were enjoying our food until she found A FLY EMBEDDED IN HER SALAD. And you want to know what's worse?! When I told the manager he didn't even apologize! He took the plate I had in my hand, mumbled something and a lady came up to start the refund. But wait that's not all!! THEY ONLY REFUNDED ONE MEAL. A courtesy refund of both our meals to say "I'm sorry that you found an insect sleeping in your salad" was not established. NO ONE APOLOGIZED. Edit: They reached out to see what can be done to rectify the situation. I was given a free meal, the food is no longer as seasoned as it used to be, stations can be wiped down/cleaned more often. I appreciate the gesture though. Plus one star.

Really nice buffet at a fair price!

Golden Corral buffet is a great family place, where there's something on their vast buffet for everyone! Prices are family friendly.... 8.99 for seniors from 11 am til 1pm, including your choice of beverage, great deal! From a great salad bar to delicious hot foods to scrumptious desserts! Shout out to our server, Dawn, who was very hospitable and tended to all of our dining needs with a friendly attitude! #SatisfiedCustomer

Atmosphere: The parking lot was packed so immediately we thought "awesome. It's busy so the food is fresh". Walking in, we were immediately asked what we wanted to drink and was rang out for two adult dinner buffet meals with drinks. All while the woman at the counter made zero eye contact with us and instead spoke (complained) to a coworker about another one of their coworkers. Still with no acknowledgment from her, we were swept off to our table by a separate employee to our table. We stood in the aisle for a couple minutes as they cleaned off the very messy table we were guided to but I liked that it was kind of further away from the buffet so it wasn't super noisy. Food: I was craving a buffet. And not a Chinese buffet but a hearty home cooking buffet. The two stars for this review is purely for the salad and taco bar and the 2 fried options my fiancé enjoyed. We tried: Fried okra: delicious Fried chicken: holy crap. That oil hasn't been changed yet this year. New Years resolution. I took one bite and all you could taste was what tasted like burnt oil. Popcorn shrimp: very good Other breaded shrimp: way too much breading. My fiancé peeled off all the breading and then ate the shrimp Mashed potatoes and gravy: I could build a wall with those potatoes. Like way stronger than the one trump wanted. This stuff is cement. Rolls: would have been great if the butter they give you wasn't frozen solid. Salad: surprisingly good greens. Iceberg was rough but the spring mix and spinach was very nice. Wish they would have had hard boiled eggs and cheese cubes as an option though Steak: horrendous rendition of medium rare. Just look at that picture Turkey: dry. Inedible Mac and cheese: mush. Just like texture of mashed potatoes Apple cobbler: taste like peach but the sign said apple? Blueberry pie: decent Apple pie: very good! Not mad at that apple pie at all Soft serve and hot fudge: ice cream was good. Fudge was like... chunky? Yeesh I don't know guys.

Showed up at 7:00 and was told they ran out of food. Shouldn't there be a manager to do this sort of thing?

I'd give this a 4.25 stars. If you read my reviews, you know that terrible car accidents happen to me after work dinners (see review on The Industry for one such example). Thankfully, dear readers, I did not have any car incidents after THIS specific work dinner. Haha! Anyway, The Bistro of Green is in a strip mall five minutes from my work office and is an institution for locals in the area - people in my group were reminiscing about coming to Bistro multiple times a month before Covid, back when they were open for lunch. The menu seems to change often. They do have a couple specials on a board outside the door that are not on their printed menu, just FYI. Our dinner took over 2 and a half hours, starting with complimentary bread and our drinks of choice. The free bread was fine. I ordered a seasonal cocktail, the Apple Cranberry Sangria, despite cocktails not having a price listed (see menu picture). I tend never to order things that do not have the price listed but the cocktail sounded too good to resist. It was yummy and very sugary and fruity, with added mint leaves that definitely brought it up a notch! Our party also split 4 appetizers: the hot peppers ($13), baked provolone ($14), calamari ($16), and flatbread ($16). As the portions are not meant to be shared between 10 people, I only had a little bit of each. I wasn't into the peppers (too mushy) but the calamari was my favorite! I could see myself ordering this as a dinner just for myself in the future. Two thirds of the hot pepper dish was ignored by the group in the end. For my main, half of which I took home as it was getting very late and my drive back home is almost an hour, I chose to get the Bistro burger (medium rare) and fries ($18). This was chosen based on cost alone - even though I really wanted a chicken or steak dish, I just could not afford them. I am only a lonely assistant, not a CEO! I debated getting one of the other sandwich options, also both $18, but the lack of pictures either on Google or Yelp made me just stick with a burger. My lack of funds kept me from being too adventurous for this dinner, sadly. Next time, I'd be down to try their fancy grilled cheese (or steak, if someone else foots the bill). The burger was good, although not amazing, and the fries were that nice mix of just oily and crispy enough. Service was okay. Things apparently got busy at the bar, so it took longer than it should have for us to get our drinks and food throughout the night. As for vibes, it was nicely decorated for Christmas, lights were dim, and Christmas music played softly in the background. No complaints here! In the end, for a sangria, burger, fries, tax, and tip (plus a 3% surcharge for using a credit card), my dinner cost me over $40. Can you imagine just how much worse the bill would have been if I hadn't gotten the cheapest thing on the menu? Next time, I will also remember to bring cash. And choose a more unique dish.

The steak salad was nice size with fresh ingredients and the ranch dressing was good. The steak was done correctly but had a fair amount of fat and some portions were grizzled and hard to cut. I would return and just order something else. The service was very good and the ambiance was great.

We were in town for a wedding nearby and most of the family was staying at the hotel where the restaurant is located. Because most of the group was from out of town, everyone decided to eat at this restaurant located in the hotel to avoid transportation. We had the entire restaurant to ourselves with some other patrons at the bar. When our waitress brought just three menus for a party of seven and tossed a stack of Dollar store napkins in the middle of the table, with silverware on top, I should've known what was coming. The first three things I tried to order from the menu--soup of the day, chicken marsala, and broccoli--were all unavailable. Yes, three in a row! I finally ended up with a steak that I asked for medium, but it came out completely cooked through with no pink at all. Between the missing menu items, lackluster presentation, and poorly cooked food, the whole experience was a huge letdown. One thing they obviously had on hand was plenty of salt! I'm pretty sure we all consumed our limit of sodium for the week. One thing I can say is that all of the staff were extremely friendly and nice. I truly felt bad for our waitress. I gave the three stars based on the fact that the hotel uses the same area for breakfast and the server deserved five stars for breakfast. It was not a large buffet, but it was well presented and fresh (real scrambled eggs with cheese made on site which seems to be a rarity hotels these days).

This review of 35 Brix in Uniontown is me bundling a few visits into one review with an overall…read morescore of 3.5 stars. I've had 35 Brix about 5 or 6 times in the past year - once eating in and 4 or 5 times catered at work. I could have sworn I would have posted a review of my food from 35 Brix by now, but according to Yelp, I have not yet. Long story short, it is a nice place in Uniontown, Ohio with a pretty extensive menu and are okay at catering work lunches, but the food always sounds better then it actually tastes. In the 5 or 6 times I've had lunch from 35 Brix, I have been disappointed in my food 2 or 3 times. The one time I have eaten in, I got a chicken flatbread pizza and enjoyed that very much. However, when ordering my catered lunch of choice, there have been as many hits as misses. Memorably, the reuben sandwich was wayyyy to wet and a bit weak on the meat. Fries can be floppy and unseasoned as well. I do remember enjoying their Cobb salad and was impressed at the freshness of the produce. However, the one time I ordered the Berry Crunch Salad with Blackened Shrimp, I was disappointed to see how stingy they were on the shrimp. For $21, I was expecting more than 3 little shrimpies. As for the lunch from today, (February 11th, 2026), I was feeling like being a fatty but also a health queen and ordered the prime rib wrap (light sauce) and a brix wedge salad as my side (no blue cheese or dressing) which has an upcharge. I had ordered a brix wedge salad back in August 2025 with feta instead of blue cheese and it was quite good. Sadly, my wedge salad was not a winner this time - too few vegetables and they put the blue cheese in there, despite me asking for them not to include it! It was very hard picking out the blue cheese and kind of ruined my salad experience, ngl. My prime rib wrap was a little better. They listened and put the sauce on the side (#healthqueen) but this $16 wrap was a bit skimpy on the prime rib. Tasted good though. So 35 Brix isn't a 5 star joint for me, despite some of the good meals I have had here. They tend to mess up orders from time to time too. I do recommend trying their food for yourself though! Some of the items are quite creative, like the sweet potato pizza or the bougie pierogies! I do wish to try one of their cocktails too!

Everyone else in our group got a hamburger, steak, halibut, and kids grilled cheese. I ordered the halibut with broccolini. It was rather salty, the same for the kids, grilled cheese and steak. Overall service and ambience get five stars. I really hope they lay off the salt next time I go.

My mom and I visited Ohio for one week and I was DETERMINED to visit a Waffle House so I was beyond thrilled when my motel turned out to be within walking distance of one. We visited three times. Very nice staff. There was one lady working my first visit (who was excellent at giving my mom a much-appreciated, patient, listening ear) who was only on staff one of the times I went. Saw her at the nearby Walmart some days later and she recognized me and said hello. Very warm and welcoming. Sad I didn't get to see her again. Wish California had waffle houses! They seem like so much fun and all the staff I met were very nice to me and my mom. This location really missed the mark though. Visited on a Sunday mid-day and it wasn't especially busy. There were a couple of empty booths awaiting cleaning. We went to sit at the counter and the salesperson told us she would clean off the counter in a moment. We said "ok", assuming that she meant that she'd be clearing and wiping the counter momentarily and we'd just sit there without putting our stuff down. When we moved our hands from the counter and remained seated, she repeated her statement and, with a crass tone, said she wanted to clean it before we sat down. Ok, we said, we'll stand up and wait behind the seats. She then proceeded to run around the kitchen and dining areas, telling people to clean areas of the kitchen, refilling drinks, etc. but not clearing or cleaning the counter where we intended to sit. This carried on for about 10 minutes - leaving the counter still messy well after the previous customer had left and while we stood awaiting a spot to sit down and get ready to order for ourselves. Wound up leaving after 10-15 minutes of standing around waiting for a countertop or table to open up. Several other tables sat uncleaned while we were there. Unsure whether staff was overworked or just lazy but there was definitely an unfriendly attitude all around. Waffle House is usually a little lower on the quality scale but more than make up for it with friendly attitudes and efficient service. Definitely not the case at this location.
