They are by far THE BEST FRIED NOODLES E V E R!!! YES! Dinner comes with soup and dessert. What?! Haven't had that in a while. We had egg drop soup and hot and sour. Both top notch. Then for meals we had Hong Kong noodles. I highly recommend. Just slightly crisp. Big order. Then the shrimp with ginger and scallion was amazing. The shrimp were huge! And delicious. The veggies in the dish were crisp. Everything was sooo fresh. A bonus - the owner came by to see if we were happy. His name is Danny Chong. What a wonderful person. He was anxious for our opinion. We will be back Danny. You made us happy. Sorry I didn't take any photos. Was too busy eating. We went back for my birthday. The waiters are the best. So attentive and accommodating. The server was extremely friendly, truly a standout, warm, attentive, and just wonderful throughout our visit. There was a slightly awkward moment at the entrance: a sign told us to wait to be seated, but no one was there to greet us. Instead, a man behind the bar called out from across the room to ask how many were in our party, then simply told us to "sit anywhere." It wasn't a big deal, but it felt a little off-putting and impersonal. As for the food: The wonton soup had good flavor but was just warm which was disappointing on a freezing cold day when a hot bowl of soup would have hit the spot. The pork bun and dumplings were delicious. The tea was also very good, and the overall service was prompt and efficient. It's a solid place with a friendly atmosphere and tasty dishes. Despite the small oddities, I'd say it's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

I passed this place across from the Acme Shopping Center, and just down the road from Brookdale's Lincroft campus. So I stopped in. I was immediately greeted by the staff, who introduced themselves, then seated me. I was impressed with the style and newness of the decor. A fully stocked sushi bar is prominently featured, and the beautifully decorated restaurant has comfortable tables and chairs throughout. The Asian Bistro has a cool sophisticated look, and a picture menu, which I'm sure is helpful to those patrons that are unsure of what to order. I enjoyed my hot and sour soup; redolent with velvety mushrooms and strips of tofu, with a "just right" spicy broth and enoki mushrooms and various types of Asian vegetables. I finished every drop. And....my entree was not served until I finished my soup. A rare treat, usually the entree is delivered halfway through the soup/appetizer course, in far too many restaurants. My entree was called Triple Delight with garlic sauce. It arrived on a modern, square plate, stacked high with firm, not mushy shrimp, chicken, and beef slices. Broccoli and carrots, celery and mushrooms bathed in a spicy garlic sauce, and accompanied by a bowl of rice. The service was attentive and friendly. In fact everyone from the manager to the sushi chefs were quite friendly and accommodating. The quality of my dish was excellent; both in presentation and taste. The portion was quite generous as well. It just hit the spot! This newly re-opened, re-decorated, and re-imagined restaraunt is definitely worth a try. The food is excellent and the place is pretty enough for a night out or a date. I'll be back to try their other dishes for sure.

I was in the mood for some Chinese take-out, and found Shing Loon. Right off the bat, it was helpful that they were one of not many Chinese joints open on Monday, so that is definitely something to note. Another great factor in their service was how quick my food came out. I think I waited about 5-6 minutes for my order to be ready, which was helpful considering I only get an hour long lunch break. I got there just in time for the lunch special, which was also a plus. I ordered the sesame chicken lunch special, which came with your choice of rice and your choice of soup. I got it with the pork fried rice and wonton soup. I also got an egg roll and an order of their fried crab rangoons (which I order every time I get Chinese take-out). I started with the wonton soup. It was okay, definitely could have used just a pinch more of salt in the broth, but the wontons themselves were not too bad. Next I moved onto the crab rangoons. They had a nice crunch to them, but could have probably used a bit more filling. The sauce they came with was pretty standard. I then moved on to my main dish, the sesame chicken and pork fried rice. At first glance, it didn't look too appealing, however let me assure you, looks are deceiving. The rice had great flavor, and i always love when places add white onion to the fried rice. The chicken was also pretty decent, with a great tasting sauce coating it. Overall, I was pretty happy with it. I started eating my egg roll around this time, but I wasn't really the biggest fan of it, I actually only had about 2-3 bites of it. To sum it up, the food was pretty average, with the main dish being the best. As far as the ambiance, jt was pretty slow and empty, but considering it was a Monday at around 2pm, I would take that stat with a grain of salt. I'm sure that definitely helped allow them to get my food prepared as quick as they did, so I definitely won't complain. It was also very quiet in there, I would definitely recommend getting some music to play softly in the background. Overall, I'm going to give Shing Loon a 3/5 star rating. They have a few things that could be improved, as mentioned above, but in a pinch I would definitely be back.
